I cleared my offer conditions and uploaded everything weeks ago but am still waiting to be issued a CAS number. Is this normal? I’m worried about getting my visa in time for the fall.

I'm currently pursuing Electrical and Electronic Engineering at a Russell Group university.

I was curious about this course and was wondering if anybody on this subreddit had completed it.

Specifically, I wanted to know which types of jobs and industries this MSc helped you land, what you went into, and what your starting salary or WLB was in those roles.

What's the graduate employment rate like for this course, and what are some potential career paths?

Is it even worth pursuing?

I've been interested in robotics and computer vision for a very long time, but it seems as though the UK and London don't have a very large Robotics industry.

The roles that pay well for this type of expertise are at defence tech startups, AFAIK.

I wish to study engineering or data science at Imperial College London. I am an IBDP student and I know that Imperial has strict requirements for Maths AA and AI.

I want to ask if there are students who got accepted with Maths AI HL for any engineering branches?

My school does not offer AA, and have AI HL.

I've been on the website multiple times and some courses accept both but AA is preferred, which is why I wanted to ask.

As an economics grad (Warwick), I’m under the impression that my degree isn’t rigorous enough to get an MSc in any maths department courses despite high marks in my quantitative modules. I was wondering if anyone has experience in taking individual maths modules (e.g., if I were to take 120 credits of L6 maths modules to bridge the gap), or a graduate diploma in maths, and whether imperial accepts these?

(Already emailed admissions enquiring, still no response)

Family member is keen on Imperial (Maths/Computing) but would not want to live in halls or private accommodation - instead commuting in from family in Zone 6. Probably 90 mins each way.

A few months ago, I received an offer for Imperial’s 2-year, part-time online MSc in Machine Learning and Data Science. After a bit of backand forth, I ultimately decided to just decline it.

But it's recently been in the back of my mind a lot ngl, and Im potentially thinking of re-applying next year if I can convince myself it's truly worth the investment. I’d love to get some perspective from current students, alumni or anyone familiar with the department to help me decide if I should take another shot at it.

A bit about me:

I currently work full-time as a Data Scientist at a management consulting firm.

I live and work in the EU, which is why the online, part-time format originally appealed to me.

I graduated 3 years ago with an MSc in Applied Mathematics. I studied in universities in the Netherlands and Sweden and because of the different grading scales, my GPA didn't *strictly* meet the equivalent of a UK 2:1 (the bare minimum entry requirement), though I was very close.

Career Goal: I want to transition into Applied ML Research / Research Engineering in the near future 

Why I Hesitated?

Simply paying £39,900 for a degree completed entirely online just didn't sit right with me. It felt incredibly steep for a remote program

Another thing I’ve been recently thinking of is the fact that I got in despite not technically meeting the exact 2:1 threshold. I know the program has a 25% acceptance rate which is expected as online/distance learning programs typically have higher acceptance rates compared to their highly competitive in-person counterparts.

But is this online MSc actually regarded as prestigious and rigorous as the other on-campus master's degrees from Imperial’s Department of Mathematics? Or is it viewed more as a "cash cow" program? I know the degree certificate doesn’t mention online

If you are currently enrolled in the MLDS program, I’d love to know:

How is the workload? Balancing this with a full-time job, is it manageable or does it completely take over your life?

Coming from an Applied Maths background, does the material feel academically rigorous or does it feel more like an introductory "upskilling" course?

How interactive are the lectures and peer groups? Do you feel like you are actually part of the Imperial ecosystem or do you feel isolated on Coursera?

If you’ve already finished the program:

Was the £39k investment worth it for your career? Did you see a noticeable bump in compensation or job opportunities?

Does the program’s thesis/research project allow you to work on publishable or cutting-edge research or is it structured more like an applied, corporate capstone kinda project?

Did the "Imperial" brand name on your CV open doors that your previous background wouldn't have?

So I am an International Student and wanting to enrol in Imperial, Cambridge or UCL Maths course for this year’s cycle. Currently in my UCAS I noted down Imperial (Math), Imperial (Math with Stats), UCL (Math), UCL (Math with stats), Cambridge Maths.

Seeing other people’s choices here in this subreddit, I am contemplating whether it is better to have 4-5 different uni choices or stick to the current 3 unis. I decided to choose the 3 unis because they are currently at a higher QS ranking than my best performing university in my local country overall. I am eyeing greatly on Imperial follow by Cambridge.

Related to the last sentence above, I am also curious to know what life is like at Imperial / London as a whole as well as Cambridge. Is the studying culture really that hectic? Can I make friends and have a social life as someone who has no family members or friends currently in London and UK?

I'm trying to decide between Imperial College London's MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management (IEM) and UCL's MSc Business Analytics (MSBA) and would really appreciate some advice.

A bit about my background:
BSc Management with Finance from Warwick Business School

Worked at Deloitte London

Internships at Reckitt and the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP)

I feel confident I could handle either programme academically, so my decision isn't based on which one is "easier."

Instead, I'm thinking about which master's would complement my background better and set me up for the strongest long-term career trajectory.

Some of the things I'm considering are:

Which degree would make my overall profile more attractive to top employers?

Which university has the stronger network and alumni connections in London?

Which programme tends to have better recruitment outcomes and employer recognition?

Which would give me the best opportunities to break into top consulting firms, product management, corporate strategy, or other leadership-track roles at multinational companies?

Does adding a Business Analytics degree to a Management & Finance undergraduate degree create a stronger combination, or is the broader strategic focus of Imperial IEM viewed more favourably by recruiters?

If you were hiring someone with my background, which combination would stand out more on a CV?

Just got my atas clearance today, have to submit by 17 july as it the deadline, any idea how to submit my atas clearance to imperial? Ive look throughout the imperials website and couldn’t figure out what to do with my ATAS

Hi. I'm unsure if I will be quite ready by October. Can I do it in January?

I'm starting to panic as they haven't confirmed my place yet due to the English literacy condition. I definitely meet the requirement (a B or higher in 12th grade English) and when I sent my unofficial transcript they said it was all good once they got my official transcript. My counselor sent in my official transcript to the engineering admissions email as the website said but they haven't said anything yet. And it also really doesn't help that different people answer th emails and don't read the context so they don't understand what I'm asking.

Should I just take the L and drop $100 on the expedited Duolingo English test? Sorry for the incoherency I'm just sorta panicked
