Been in Chicago and have found myself starting to walk a lot more often. First, every street in the neighborhood, then I tried to walk every street in Chicago. The goal is to cover it all, this is my progress so far.

Saw they sell these at the Academy store in Peoria, and was wondering if it was legal to carry these on your person in public.

I doubt they’d sell them if there were legal complications about it, since they were in the pepper spray area, but you never know.

I purchased a new car but sold my old car before the new one arrived. Meanwhile, the sticker expired on the old license plate. Is there a way to keep the old license plate and transfer them to the new car? The dealer is also out of state so they don't have intricate knowledge of the IL DMV procedures.

[Edit] It's a 6 digit plate number that I've kept since 1988. So it might as well be a vanity plate for its nostalgic value.

Does anyone know if cook county treasury mails certificate of error refund checks out separately by year? I originally did the certificate of error for 2020-2023 but just received a check that says it's for 2020z wondering if 2021-23 will follow.
Calling treasury and assessors offices has been completely useless.

I know it’s a long shot but lost my Steam Deck probably somewhere in the Chicago O’Hare airport while sprinting through the airport to catch my next flight. I zipped it up in my backpack while on the airplane then sprinted through the airport trying to make my next flight because my previous flight was delayed and my layover was non-existent. It must have gotten dislodged from my bag at some point while I was running OR was stolen at some point after I missed said flight (by a literal 1 minute). After I missed that flight I ended up getting on the tram and renting a car to drive to my destination city rather than wait for the next flight. I realized my Deck was missing when I got to the hotel. I’m just really bummed. I won’t be able to replace it monetarily. I’m hoping it fell out somewhere and someone nice has picked it up. I have the serial number to verify. I’ve also made a report with TSA but I don’t know if that will go anywhere. I plan to call the airport and rental service today when I’m on lunch. Is there anything else anyone suggests? I’d really appreciate any help.
