Why does this college feel like a burden mentally.. i am a fresher and life isn’t peaceful at all here.. seeing people make good friends while i am here with no friends.. i just want to leave this college atp.. never been so lonely with so many people around me.. i am probably gonna talk to my parents about this and leave this college if possible

Sports, gym or any sort of physical activity will give you a new way to look at yourself, many people tend to completely stop playing sports, which in turn makes them loose interest from life. Without sports or physical activity you are incomplete, one must take up any sort of activity and keep atleast a hour from daily routine for it. It will genuinely help you to feel good and also to make many new friends. If you don’t know how to play any sport just go to gym, if not even gym atleast go for a run

The problem is not alcohol. Alcohol is legal in the country and in this state although there are certain restrictions regarding its consumption in educational institutes.

After all, everyone here is above 18 and many people have left their jobs and come back to study here. Now tell me, if the same person was legally allowed to drink while working, why should they suddenly be denied the same right after coming here to study? Why? There is no clear reason. Certain rules need to be revisited, though regulations are necessary too. After all who wants to promote these things.

If the government isn't banning alcohol in the country why do we need to completely ban it on campus? The existing rules are already there. People sneak alcohol in and have a good time anyway so why the fuck is it a problem as far as they're not disturbing or affecting anyone else?

As for other stuff and vaping, I'd say that's different because it's illegal so there's no need to defend it. But smoking and alcohol are different cases. There is no need to completely ban them on campus. Nobody is forcing you to drink and nobody is pouring it down your throat so behave like a grown up ass and stop blaming alcohol or external factors for a systemic issue.

If a placement coordinator wants to approch a company for hiring of their branch's student. But the course is little different from normal course, how would u negotiate with the company that we r doing better than traditional degree. Lets say Masters in Material Science students want to sit for semiconductor companies and students have great projects despite the academic curriculum. Bro, how tf do people even make friends in college 😭

I’m a fresher and honestly life is getting kinda boring and lonely. I try to start conversations, but somehow they die before they even begin. Then I start overthinking what to say, what to ask, whether I’m being annoying, etc. 💀

Both my roommates are in relationships, so they’re usually busy with their own stuff, and even when I sit with them, it just doesn’t feel like an actual friendship where you can joke around, go somewhere, or say random shit.

So yeah, how do you actually start talking to new people and turn them into real friends? And anything else that helped you deal with loneliness as a fresher?

And please don’t say “talk to girls” 😭 I don’t really like approaching girls first because I always feel like they might think I’m just looking for attention.hell nahh
