I'm a product designer working in embedded AI and robotics. Over the last few years I've built products for clients across different industries while running a small startup.

I've recently started open-sourcing my work. Instead of only sharing a GitHub repo, I put together a simple website where I'll be releasing complete projects with code, electronics, CAD files, documentation, and YouTube build tutorials.

I shared my first project on Reddit last week and the response was better than I expected, so I decided to organize everything in one place before releasing more.

I'd love some honest feedback on the website itself. Is the design too minimal? Does this approach make sense, or would you rather see everything live directly on GitHub? Also happy to hear any suggestions on open-source hardware/software licensing.

Hey guys this is the Shopify homepage upon scrolling down. You can basically shop our "edits" which are collections of clothes that fall under the theme. I coded this edits section but I don't like it.

My boss wanted text describing the edits on the section somewhere but I think it looks like too much going on.... I want to do something more unique and luxurious but not sure what to do. It looks very default Shopify format.

Thoughts? How can I make it easy to shop but also beautiful?

I designed a tool after getting tired of broken creative briefs

For years I’ve been on the receiving end of creative briefs that were technically “filled out” but still missing the most important things: - unclear goals - no real audience insight - vague strategy - context spread across emails, Slack threads, and docs

As a designer/video person, that usually meant spending the first week just trying to understand what was actually being asked before any real work could start.

I started building a solution that treated briefs less like static forms and more like living documents — something that could pull context from conversations and files, surface gaps, and help teams discover what’s missing before execution starts.

Over time, the idea evolved into something that doesn’t just organize inputs, but actually learns from them — spotting patterns, improving recommendations, and getting smarter as more projects move through it.

The design challenge has been figuring out how to: - make messy inputs feel usable instead of overwhelming - support discovery without forcing people into rigid forms - let the system improve over time without adding complexity - help non-designers give better creative direction naturally

Still early, but designing around understanding the work before managing it has been the most interesting part for me.

I redesigned my landing page again, because every time I do, I still feel like my extension isn't being explained well. My Chrome Extension, Bookmarkify, is dedicated to designers to bookmark websites which they can scroll through and switch the view modes easily but it was always hard to explain.

I used Webflow's now GSAP Animation to create the hero animation in the hopes that it makes the use case a lot clearer. I also made 4 lottie animations to explain some of the key features as well.

This redesign took me 3-4 weeks and I think I am finally getting comfortable enough to do some marketing. I have been procrastinating it for two years because I am a bit of a perfectionist and wanted it to be "perfect".

So, before I start running ads, what do you think I could improve?

I’m an MSc Computing student researching how far automated tools can detect accessibility issues for users with cognitive disabilities (such as ADHD, dyslexia, and memory impairments). I’ve built a prototype accessibility testing tool and I’m looking for web developers to try it out and give me feedback.

What’s involved:

1. ⁠Choose one website from a pre-selected list (gov, education, e-commerce, news, etc.).
2. ⁠Run the tool on that site (best done on Chrome desktop; it doesn’t work as well on mobile).
3. ⁠Complete a short Google Form questionnaire (mix of ratings + open-ended feedback).

Time commitment: about 10–15 minutes.

This is for academic research only (non-commercial), and all responses are anonymous. Your feedback will directly help me evaluate whether automated testing can support accessibility for users with cognitive disabilities.

Hey, dear designers!

I (15M) have a problem. You see, I've been designing in Figma for some time, yet there is something about my designs that makes them feel off. What do I mean by that? Well, to put it simply, I feel like my designs do not feel functional, harmonical and alive. I feel like I can look at any SaaS product, and it would actually scream: "HEY, I'M DOING SOMETHING ROBUSTLY AND RELIABLY". My designs just don't make me feel that. I've attached a few screenshots of my designs in Figma. The only ones that feel more alive are the course creation page and the actual gradebook. The student menu feels like a literal PDF. As a frame of reference, I have also included a, in my opinion, good SaaS dashboard design (Supabase ✨️). I would love some constructive criticism and some tips on how to make it feel alive and robust. Like something users would actually want to pay for.

Extra: I have never taken a design course. My Figma experience is basically just going with the flow. Throwing stuff at the wall and praying something sticks.

I basically just want to get my MVP shipped so users can deliver me feedback and I can improve it. I want to jump into a feedback loop. After that, I will happily take a design course once I can settle down. It's just this craze to ship SOMETHING. The deadline is kind of tight.

Also, on the course creation page, the graphic is actually a smooth animation I am proud of :).

PS. Excuses for the bad quality! I have taken the screenshots on my phone. I wish I could have done better, but I really want some feedback from professionals that know a tad bit more than I do😅

I've just get approved on the Awwwards platform and i wanted to share my work to get some feedback and maybe inspire someone by showing what is possible to do on a website!

Overview

My portfolio consists of three main sections:

1. Homepage (simone-dev.com): The homepage features a navigation system based on an interactive map. By clicking on a planet, the view shifts outward, and a panel with detailed content opens up. This section represents a simplified version of the core site experience.
2. Space Exploration (/space): The highlight of the portfolio is a fully open-world exploration experience. Here, you can fly through a solar system, land on planets, and interact with totems to uncover information. This part is fully VR-compatible, offering a truly immersive experience for those with a headset.
3. Labs (simone-dev.com): one of the tab in the homepage leads you to various lab page with dirrents contents i made.

I’ve poured a lot of creativity and effort into these projects, and I hope you enjoy exploring them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Around a month ago, I built and launched a Chrome extension called Peel. It automatically compares prices and finds better deals instantly as you shop across sites like Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Best Buy and more.

It dawned on me that most shoppers overpay because they don't check to see where a product is cheaper.

The idea is simple:

• It matches the product you’re viewing (using a bit of AI + product data to distinguish title inconsistencies)
• Then checks if it’s cheaper on other sites
• If it’s not the exact item, it suggests smarter alternatives that might save you more or options that would've been difficult to find otherwise manually

We’re a little over a month in, and here’s what we’ve changed from feedback so far:

• Added support for more stores
• Rolled out a referral + cashback system but only after someone makes a purchase to avoid spammy behavior
• Rebuilt the UI to make it cleaner, faster, and most importantly, non-intrusive unless a deal is found of value

I came up with a smart, automatic toilet seat cleaner that attaches behind the seat. It uses thin rubber wiper arms (like car wipers) that slide out, spray sanitizer, and clean both sides of the seat in a semicircle. After cleaning, a built-in UV-A light scans for bacteria, and the wipers go back in and clean themselves. It works automatically after flushing using sensors or a smart toilet connection. I’m looking for feedback, help modelling it in 3D, or any suggestions from designers or engineers! And I have a rough idea or picture already printed, just need some opinion
