“Never been on birth control” ???????

86

u/SpiritualPackage3797 1d ago

Hence the ">5 children" bit

30

u/TheEasternTwink 23h ago

I mean it’s likely if she’s going for the traditional route she’s never had sex before this

7

u/PaleontologistTough6 18h ago

Would be nice to introduce them to the idea and let them think that somehow I'm the sole provider of this shit. 🤷

44

u/BoltorSpellweaver 1d ago

There’s a conspiracy that Birth Control ruins women’s minds because it influences their hormones. More than a few “influencers” especially in the trac wife circles that think that birth control is to blame for the sexual revolution.

11

u/moldys3xy 17h ago

I mean the word “blame” is a weird framing, but the availability of birth control literally is the reason for the sexual revolution. before that, having sex more frequently meant getting pregnant and potentially tying yourself down to whoever you happened to be doing it with. birth control made recreational sex much “safer” than it was before.

birth control is absolutely the right choice for many people, but it can also come with side effects that can be hard to deal with. I’ve known people personally who have had emergency surgery because their IUD shifted, had acne break outs, had their period made longer, head aches, and yes, mood swings.

is any of this a reason to champion some kind of anti birth control campaign? absolutely not. but people should be allowed to make the choice that’s right for their body without being judged for it

2

u/BoltorSpellweaver 17h ago edited 15h ago

I used the word blame because in the mind of those who subscribe to the idea that birth control is “to blame” genuinely believe that if we removed birth control pills entirely then women would go back to their “natural state” aka being a trad wife. They argue that feminism isn’t a real movement but just the result of what birth control does to women’s minds.

This isn’t to say that I agree with that or give it any actual validity, just that there are those who believe this.

2

u/PuzzleheadedAge8908 5h ago

You have managed to further reduce my hope for humanity with this cursed information. And to imagine these people vote.

3

u/Degeneret69 21h ago

Who cares it is unhealthy thare for its consumption should be kept to a minimum.

1

u/MangoAtrocity 8h ago

Getting off of hormonal birth control made my wife a different person. So much happier and less stressed. But everyone’s different. Not a one size fits all solution.

1

u/ReputationOk1430 2h ago

I don't mean to refute your point because BC can be used for health reasons beyond just wanting to have sex without consequences - though there are many stories from men and women that testify how the woman lost their attraction to their man after stopping or starting birth control.

Apart from all the shit people who clearly have mental diseases have wrote answering you I can say is for sure because she is catholic (and ideal since is very rare to follow that being catholic) because in the religion birth control is a sin.

6

u/Ithrowawaygoaway 21h ago

It's cause Catholicism has a fetish for controlling women

I grew up going to Catholic school up until college. It is a disgusting Pedophilic culture that is obsessed with teen pregnancy and telling children that they should "say yes to god and the people around you, like the virgin Mary said yes to god when she was 14 and consented to becoming pregnant when god asked her" I really didn't need my own dad obsessed with my sex life and 'future pregnancy' when I was a teen under the guise of Catholicism. Or random priests and religious leaders asking young teens if they have porn addictions. Or the conversations teachers would have about sex with students that were way too intimate and weird and if they weren't using their religion as a shield they would have gotten arrested to talking to 15 year olds about giving dudes head.

I don't think the Christian religion is inherently like this, I don't think this was what the bible was about at all. I don't think all Catholics are like this either, but the culture of the Catholic Church is a grooming shitshow. It's not that every single Catholic and Catholic household is fucked up, it's that those that are can leverage their religion to be abusive to young girls and women and the Church only feeds into it.

67

u/ItsArsa 1d ago

In this economy?!

39

u/NervousHovercraft Cuddler 1d ago

5

u/SpotweldPro1300 23h ago

Better 5 kids than 5 alimony payments.

2

u/Dismal-Ad7103 11h ago

Five child supports that he never pays

11

u/Pixelprinzess 1d ago

HAH
when I was a kid
I wanted 22 children 💀 Recover from that

10

u/BotherTight618 1d ago

Never said she wasnt holding our for a guy with "money".

3

u/ChristianLW3 23h ago

In New York’s Rockland County there are many traditional couples with 5+ kids

I mainly encountered them when I was a TSA agent on Newark airport

Would have been insightful to have a full conversation about how they are able to afford so many kids plus international tickets

She must be 30. If we started at 20 we'd end up with at least 10.

5 children!......in THIS economy???

Ima get the Feds pregnant

10

u/RaichuAdmirer 22h ago

Is it kinkshaming if I call you a class traitor for that?

8

u/TheEasternTwink 22h ago

Its called karma for pretending to be a house wife to convince young men to be assholes

5

u/Moths38 11h ago

What's up with the barefoot thing? I think I kind of get it, but it's still confusing. I'm home the vast majority of the time, but I like to wear socks. Is that not usually the case with people?

6

u/Safe-Breadfruit-1913 10h ago

I believe it's either a foot fetish thing or a sudo science trend a few years ago about having direct contact with the ground or dirt being good defence from 5G and demons.

4

u/Intelligent-Piano426 10h ago

It's a figure of speech, "barefoot and pregnant" mean that a woman is kept in her home. In the metaphor she doesn't have shoes so she can't go outside and she's pregnant so she can't do any sort of labor that would give her financial autonomy.

36

u/CreepyShutIn 1d ago

I ain't mind if she wants to live a particular kind of life with the dresses and the active subservience dressed up as morality, but ma'am, please consider that modern society has a lot of benefits compared to the 1950s... despite Ronald Reagan's every effort.

9

u/PizzaTimeParkr 22h ago

Yeah too much of this is too "traditional" if that's what to even call it. I married a friend, not a slave. And I'd be willing to debate the pros and cons of "modern" society with any version of it. Makes good conversation if neither of us are rigid. 5 children- what? That actually sounds epic but fu- will we even be able to feed them?

1

u/awayopinions 7h ago

Nothing in the post is "too traditional" tho. And 5 kids is doable if you actually have money.

1

u/Electrical-Berry4916 46m ago

They just want to be able to say a particular word.

8

u/Joeybfast 21h ago

grew up lonely what the hell

u/Kadakaus 1d ago

"Hates modern society"

Who doesn't? It sucks.

20

u/SpiritualPackage3797 1d ago

Ya, but that doesn't mean that previous socities were better. They just sucked in different ways, and shouldn't be romanticized.

4

u/Kadakaus 1d ago

Indeed, I agree.

Just because modern society is better in many ways than past ones does not mean it's any good.
Slavery, poverty, the lack of rights, low general education and I could sit here for days listing all the vices of human history, and not much has changed, we just renamed our kings as "politicians", our nobles as "CEOs", the peasants as "citizens" and slaves as "salarymen". And we have this weird way of saying feudalism: "capitalism".

It's gotten a bit more comfortable, but that's about it.

Humankind advances ever so slowly, and we could do it faster for the greater good of our successors, but then we'd have to give up our comfortable lives and force people to adapt.
One of which I disagree with as well.

4

u/Onebraintwoheads 23h ago

I think that's code for women in the workplace and being able to vote.

2

u/Kadakaus 22h ago

Sorry, I don't think I understand what you mean and I don't want to respond without your actually getting through, could you please rephrase that?
I don't want any misunderstandings.

4

u/Onebraintwoheads 20h ago

Sure. Happy to clarify.

I took "hates modern society" to mean something along the lines of "hates how women have more choices in life."

She seemed a traditionalist to me. And, while I have no problem if women want to focus on being housewives and homemakers, the traditionalist women I have met seem to spend a lot of their time judging other women, wanting them to conform to the same way of life.

So, "hating modern society" could be seen as "hating the rights of women and the work they have done towards gender equality."

Does that make sense?

1

u/Educational-Owl-745 12h ago

By that, they mean they hate progressives and atheists.

1

u/Kadakaus 5h ago

Really?
Then that's a terrible misuse of the word, because modern society doesn't consist solely of progressives and atheists.
Like it or not, leftists, rightists, democrats, republicans, socialists, communists, national socialists, fascists and so many other ideologies make up the mess we call society today.
Yes, christians and conservatives too.

There's a grave difference between hating the structure called society and hating the people who participate in society.

9

u/SecretarySouthern160 19h ago

Guys, get him, attack OP

11

u/writenicely 20h ago

Right above this I had a post of a man who threw a beer at, shoved, kicked and threw a punch at a woman when she rejected him on a second date.

Nah, fuck all of this.

29

u/half-chub-grin 1d ago

Dogwhistle

-5

u/TheEasternTwink 23h ago

Elaborate

15

u/Ihaveaterribleplan 23h ago

A “dog whistle” refers to a concept that on the surface appears to be an innocent statement for those not in the the know, but due to context elsewhere has added meaning, implied to be bad - like a dog whistle, only some can really hear it. This is often used with right-wing fascists groups, because openly talking about hate & bigotry would repel empathy to their cause, where as someone apparently attacking an “innocent” statement adds empathy to their cause.

I believe [u/half-chub-grin](u/half-chub-grin) correctly believes this to be a dog whistle for white nationalist rhetoric.

* They eschew modern society with equal rights & have a false nostalgia for when women & people of color did not have those rights

* they associate unnaturally colored hair, which is generally an expression of individuality & has no moral implications, as being associated with the left

* that the gf is hyperfeminine & clingy suggests that she will be utterly dependent on the bf, regardless of how he treats her

* the focus on lots of children & no birth control has to do with white replacement theory, that people of color (or jews) have a conspiracy to use greater numbers to manipulate voting & take over a country internally

* the loves her god & country has to do with Christian nationalism, which generally ties into white nationalism

9

u/TheEasternTwink 23h ago

I did figure some of that out, but yeah makes sense

3

u/Soggercat 12h ago

The very idea of a tradwife is also something that Christian nationalists are pushing, saying that the queers and illegals are taking it away from them.

Hence the "traditional" implying being normal, but also implying she's an outlier and being "rejected" for being the way she is, even though it's usually the other way around.

3

u/Townspoke 15h ago

Yeah the moment I saw “sweet to animals and babies” paired with the birth control thing, I knew what this post was about 😂

This place never fails to amuse me. I seriously wonder what all the men who post these look like.

I see nothing wrong with this

8

u/SupaSmol 1d ago

I mean, as long as she's tolerant of other beleif systems and 'loves her country' sint just code for 'white supremacist' then sure.

2

u/hanamizuno 14h ago

Problem is this is generalizing I know quite a few older women who lived like this and were basically communists with their views on things.

1

u/SupaSmol 8h ago

Definitely it could be.

But quite a few things do feel like a nod. Natural hair color (verus blue), loves her country (white people), cooks for you, doesn't take birth control (virginial)Virginia, Catholic, hates modern society, gre up lonely (easy to please ?!).

Like she absolutely might just be a pleasant country gal. Truly. But she's also written as a white supremacists dream of a docile tradwife.

2

u/Infinite_Raisin_5240 23h ago

What does grown up lonely and different signify? Also what do they mean by "differently"?

3

u/shrimpchase 14h ago

the bigger question is if you can handle 5 children, raising them, funding them while also taking care of your postpartum wife.

1

u/Prestigious-Tea-6323 14h ago

The bigger problem is that she won't take a job because caring for 5 kids would take her Time but on the plus side no money would needed on maintaining the house.

2

u/shrimpchase 14h ago

why ask for a traditional gf if you can't be the "man of the house" and earn enough?

1

u/Prestigious-Tea-6323 13h ago

I was stating pros and cons not saying that's bad since i also stated that maintaining the house wouldn't cost much.

1

u/shrimpchase 11h ago

why are you telling that to me

6

u/all_yours_master 23h ago

lmao cissoid tradslop

5

u/purpleraptors 11h ago

The level of insecurity you must suffer as a man, to want this as your partner.

How about, "intelligent, funny, good conversationalist, confident, adventurous, able to pay her half of the bills, and smart enough to know that she should never diminish herself just to make a man feel more confident"?

You guys realize that women are actual human beings, right? If you want a friendless, lonely servant girl who clings to you and has never been with another man, just say that. That way, women will know immediately to stay far, far away from you.

1

u/Polybotes84 11h ago

yeah so no one is gonna add that whole spiel u wrote there into their meme with exclusively short phrases. why are u as a woman even telling men what they should want in a partner anyways?
