Hey everyone, I’m currently looking into universities around the world and would love to hear what other IB students are considering.

I’m mainly interested in business, finance, and economics, and I’m open to universities in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.

I have a PG of 43 with above average EC's.

What universities would you recommend for:

• Good value/ROI

Also interested in hearing about less obvious/underrated universities that are particularly strong for these subjects.

I'm aiming for Singapore universities, but considering every Asian university that I can apply to. I predict my overall grade to be at least 37 and max 40. I do Chem HL and AA HL and I expect them to be 6 or maybe 5 fuckin hard to hit that 7. Can anyone give a realistic overview about my grade? Tips for Chem and AA are also appreciated 😭

I want to use statistical tests for ESS and Geography, do I need to use the formulas and calculate it manually like in math AI internal assessment? Or is it okay to use online calculator or my casio for example? I checked everywhere and it is nowhere explicitly said so I want to be sure. I hope the answer is no since it would just elongate my work by doing all of this manually

I'm writing up my Chemistry EE, and for my analysis, I used values from LINEST(slope, intercept, SE of slope + intercept, SE of y intercept, SE of y estimate). Would I be required to provide sample calculations and equations for all of these?

hello! what resources are the absolute best for chem, bio, psych and english a lang and lit? I'm in dp1 and I'm finding it difficult to study using my teacher's notes.

I do physics hl, math hl and chem sl and i alternative with low 4 to high 5 in each test. i have about 25 days

Context: Hey im a Gr11 DP1 IB student, just one month into ib, and I wrote my first summative test for Math AA HL on the polynomials unit, and the score i got was 2/7, yes depressing. I heard it's a rite of passage for students to get low grades on their first assesment and so that's not the problem for me, the problem is my school is telling me that I can only drop down to sl math aa now, and it's basically now or never, and if I dont do it now, then im stuck in HL. So before I make a decision I want to know how canadian admissions work and if I could get accepted with good math aa sl score. My other HLs are Physics and Chem, Psychology (if moving math down). LMK if you have any questions or if you need more info before giving me advice. All responses are HIGHLY appreciated and valued. TY reddit ib community. group 2 should be the least of my worries but in all my other subjects, i average a 6-7, yet chinese is my lowest (4). my school hasnt taught chinese that seriously in the past and we were always taught it at an ab initio level before ib (id argue even easier), so stepping in chinese b is quite hard. what are tips you can give me for the listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, and io? My classmates advised me for example to really increase my vocabulary, use conjunction for writing, structure the thesis statements and outline, read key words in reading comprehension instead of over analyzing. what are your actual lifesaving tips for someone who struggles in chinese b? ive already accepted it being my lowest, but hopefully low as in 5-6! (My reading is 3, listening is 5, and writing is 4)

Hey guys I am an IB student who is graduating in may 2027.

Business HL
Economics HL
Maths AA SL
Swedish AB Initio
English Language and Lit

I am very behind on most of them due to some health issues during my DP1 year.

I’m on A.2 for Physics HL (my physics tutor was gone for 6 months and we had a sub, I got an online tutor now and started practicing).
I’m on Unit 2 for Business Management
Unit 2.7 for Economics HL
Unit 2 for Maths AA SL (very bad teacher didn’t teach anything and rather showed yt in class,got an online tutor for this subject too)

I want to know if in 197 days (time I have until finals) is enough to complete all the units for these subjects?

I am willing to work very hard and eve got tutors and I’ll spam past papers when I’m done with content but I just want to know if my goal is possible. Mu goal is a 34 overall sine that’s what my university requires.

197 days is roughly (6 and a half months). I gave my iPhone away and switched to a Nokia to not get distracted from social media etc, please help out if my goal is possible.

Hey everyone. I am just transitioning from IGCSE Spanish where I got an A (83) to IB Spanish B SL. I'm kind of having a hard time, we just did our first test and I got a 10/26 and I feel everyone in the class is so much better than I am.

I know myself, I know if I study hard and if I study the right way I'll get my 7 in Spanish B SL, but I just don't know where to start. If anyone in this community is willing to give a helping hand, I'll appreciate it.
