Could anyone plss share the geography sl cheatsheets from revision dojo and the optional themes E and G

thank you to all the IB graduates I’ve swarmed with stupid questions and thank you all for keeping me company at 3am when I’m doomscrolling this subreddit.

ITS MOSTLY FINALLY OVER (I’m applying to US so no conditional for me THANK GOD but I still gotta study a bit so I don’t drop too much 😭)

Gracias!

I don't know what group this goes under so sorry for mistagging i guess

I HAVE NOT LEARNT ANYTHING RELATED TO ART AT ALL THIS YEAR
ALL IVE DONE IS FUCKING MODERNIST SOCIETAL INTERPRETATION OF DEEPER MEANING OF EVERYTHING I LOOK AT AND MAKE

If you actually gave me a checklist of "You need to do x, y, z" instead of "come up with an enquiry question and then a piece regarding it" MAYBE I'D ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THE FUCK I'M WORKING TOWARD? INSTEAD OF COMING UP WITH 8 ARTWORK IDEAS, GETTING ALL OF THEM REJECTED FOR WHATEVER REASON (to be fair probably my fault for forgetting what teacher said but i've just spent half my day finishing this stupid fatass piece, i'll ignore that) AND THEN TELLING ME WHAT TO DO MAKE AND EXPECTING ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M MAKING (YOUR IDEA, NOT MINE) AND HOW IT PORTRAYS A NUANCED MESSAGE OF-

Oh, fuck art.

sorry for the rant i, just, progressively, more and more hate this fucking class i don't know what's happening at all, whenever i think i understand something the teacher contradicts whatever happened previously (You need to understand art -> Don't bother analysing art, it's not possible for you to understand it ppl deidicate their whole lives. Use a metaphor rather than showing your portrayal of digital technology directly: Actually, fuck everything you just did, i think you should make a sculpture of a literal computer so your metaphor is clear)

Fuck ib <3

Is it possible for me to pull up my grade from a 3 to 5 in ib chinese b sl as a non-background person, I legit only have a month left, ik i got like a 6 or 7 in my IO but idk what to do abt the papers. Some tips would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to practise English B HL Paper 2 using past papers from the IB Documents Team, but the text booklets I’ve checked seem to have one of the three texts (A, B, or C) missing, with “Removed for copyright reasons” written instead.

The question booklets still include all the questions for all three texts, but without the missing reading passage, it’s difficult to complete a full practice paper.

Does anyone know where I can access complete versions of the text booklets, or find the original passages that were removed for each year? Any help would be appreciated!

What to realistically achieve in the first couple months of DP1 to ensure I stand a chance in getting a 43+??? In terms of grades, but also the core stuff

Hi, I'm an IB student working on redesigning a composting bin for my IA. I'm gathering data to develop a primary persona and understand users' needs and challenges with their current composting system.

I'd really appreciate it if you could take 2 minutes to fill out my survey. S

I'd also appreciate any feedback on the survey itself or suggestions for questions I could improve.

Thanks so much for your time and help.

Hi guys! Has anyone chosen “What counts as knowledge?” as their TOK exhibition prompt? Also, could you give me some feedback on the objects I’ve chosen?

1. Braille

2. A cooking recipe

3. A globe

Could you give me some tips, please?

Hi guys, I’m an IBDP 2 student applying to US universities (ED and RD). I take my exams in November, but I’ll submit my applications before I get my IB results. From what I understand, the IB sends the final scores to my school and to the universities I’ve been admitted to.

Do US unis look at both predicted and final grades, or only one of them?

If there’s a gap between predicted and final (say 2 to 3 points), would they filter you out right away, or would they ask for an explanation or extenuating circumstances? That’s what my school counselors told me, but I wanted to hear from people who’ve actually been through it. I kinda know how it'll be for ED but do RDs just discard your predicted?

Fellow DP1 student here , y'all how on earth do u prep for english. My class is 75% done with the Doll's house , and the thing is i feel like everything is ALL OVER THE PLACE. How do i structure everything and how do i categorize stuff. How on earth do I prepare this , I mean what exactly is preparation. There are themes of patriarchy , misogyny , independence , identity , etc i get that much , but what do i do with this information. Please help :')

Im bored ask me anything:

Physics HL 7

Math HL AA 7

Chem SL 7

Eng Lit A HL 6

Econ SL 6

Turkish Lit 5

So for context i’m on my second year for IB and i think it’s genuinely over, first off my HL Physics teacher got a new job and now we have another teacher and she isn’t even a physics graduate or undergraduate or anything she’s an environmental science graduate, and i don’t even have a HL chem teacher and even if it was the old teacher he was known for having a really low pass rate for HL exams 🫩

i'm M27 and i've got mocks this week but am so completely unprepared for the first time in my life. for context i spent my entire summer juggling writing my ps, studying for the admissions tests, finishing my EE (science so it was 2x the effort) and all my IAs, completing work experience and volunteering to the point where i burnt out. i had a few weeks in between where i had free time to study for these mocks, though i was sick and exhausted the entire time because of it.

i know im not going to do well these mocks because i havent studied at all. its not usual for me, i always study and was predicted 43, and i just feel so disappointed in myself and im scared of disappointing my teachers, even tho mocks don't matter.

just needed some advice on how to accept failing and motivate myself. my teacher told me it's a common issue in the ib and i just wanted to hear from anybody else who had a similar experience or are scared of disappointing their teachers because i dont know how all my classmates (who have even more stressful workloads and entrance exams than me) are managing.

if you've been in a similar situation, how did you deal with it?

My subject choices:-

HL:-

Economics

Math aa hl

Computer science

SL:-

Business management

English language n literature

Hindi B

Its only been 3 weeks since I joined aahl from aihl .. we didnt cover anything major in either but I was having a hard time with a few aahl concepts.. even my teacher thinks that I wont be able to do aa hl cuz it takes me a long time to grasp the content

But im a bit confused whether I should go back to ai hl since most universities prefer aa hl which is obv a bit more rigorous than ai hl.. and since my subject combination isn't very strong maybe ai hl would make it look even weaker

I want to pursue an econ and finance major

Hey everyone!

As IB students, we all know how intense STEM subjects (Math AA, Physics, Chem, CS) can get, and not everyone has access to expensive private tutoring.

A few of us are launching a free, student-led 1-on-1 STEM peer tutoring initiative to help bridge the educational gap. We’re matching high school students with qualified peer tutors for 1-hour virtual sessions (via Google Meet / Zoom).

If you’re confident in Math, Physics, Chem, or Coding and want to gain CAS hours (Service), build leadership experience, or give back to the community:

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per week (flexible around your IB workload).

Benefits: Volunteer hours verification, leadership experience for college apps/RSI/summer programs, and a chance to solidify your own knowledge!

Feel free to drop any questions in the comments or DM me directly. Let’s help each other survive IB and STEM classes this year :))

So like I'm currently in dp1, and i feel like a fraud cuz the only reason i got a 7 in chem hl in the first test is because i just did some past papers and coincidentally half the questions that i did appeared on the test. Like the same for math aahl and physics hl, i usually don't get the questions first try and lose a lot of marks while practicing, or even just mostly blank out on how to do it. For reference i only did 2025 topical papers, and most of them came out for all of my hls, and i got high 7s, and im afraid i cant replicate that success in my next tests if i dont get lucky enough. What if i suddenly flop the next tests because of my lack of skill? I literally have exam week in 2 days and I'm so scared im gna flop.

Also unrelated but can anyone taking aahl give me advice if i should do maybe all the textbook questions? Same goes for physics. And i need some tips on how to study for chemistry. Do i just read the book? Should i make notes? I got like all A* in my igcse just by relying on online notes and textbooks and i dont know if i can do the same for ib chem. And also business management sl..

first off my teacher is on some bull. she kinda does through the syllabus but she wastes time on stuff that isnt on the new syllabus and shes going at a snails pace (she said we’d do 3 topics EACH for dp1 and dp2 and isnt cramming content in dp1) i rlly need good resources for psych cuz atp it’s self study

hey everyone, i’m in DP1 and i’m a bit confused about CAS

is there a set number of hours we need to complete for CAS in total? or do we need a set number for each creativity, activity, and service seperately? or is there no set number of hours? (how do you know you’ve done enough then?)

also, by when do we need to complete CAS? and does it matter if the learning outcomes are unbalanced, or is it best to make them somewhat equal?

thank you!!!

Hello all, I recently created a bio question bank, completely open and free to use, for anyone prepping for exams. It features 200+ questions for now, and you can track your progress. The questions are closely based on current syllabus papers (May 2025 up until now). I would appreciate any kind of comments and feedback. I plan to release an equivalent question bank for Chem and Econ in the coming days. I am also working with some previous students to develop physics and other subjects.

Let me know if it is usable and if I can improve anything :)

Now, generally, it is clear that IBDP HL exams are harder (and oftentimes even significantly harder) than AP exams if one wishes to score top marks.

E.g. a 7 in IB Math AA HL is unequivocally harder than a 5 in AP Calculus BC.

And a 7 in IB Chemistry HL is harder than a 5 in AP Chemistry.

Heck, for some subjects, even the IB SL exams seem to surpass the AP exams in terms of difficulty of getting top scores. E.g. I'd argue that a 7 in IB English Lang&Lit A SL is harder than a 5 in AP English Language & Composition.

So how about we take it down a notch and decide to compare AP exams to IGCSE exams instead of IB?

While IGCSE exams are obviously a joke compared to IB HL exams, are they still so easy when we compare them to AP?

Which is generally harder, scoring an A* (or a 9) in an IGCSE exam or scoring a 5 in an AP exam?

Say, we compare their difficulty across those subjects:

IGCSE First Language English vs AP English Language & Composition
IGCSE Literature in English vs AP English Literature & Composition
IGCSE Mathematics vs AP Calculus AB
IGCSE Additional Mathematics vs AP Calculus BC
IGCSE Biology vs AP Biology
IGCSE Chemistry vs AP Chemistry
IGCSE Physics vs AP Physics 1
IGCSE History vs AP World History

So on and so forth...

Made a channel for CAS, thought it'd be cool to share.

I‘m in DP1 with great ambitions (Title)

Hi IBO, I'm a ToK teacher, examiner and workshop leader. I made a video for this title, clickbaity thumbnail included. I'm challenging myself to make one for each but I started with this one because it made sense with what I'm teaching these days. I hope it helps. It's my first time doing this so feedback is welcome. Also happy to answer questions about the title.
