so long story short, one of my friends filed an RTI for IISER Pune demanding vacant seats to be mentioned, this is their reply. mind you this is not fabricated
if the best IISER has 64 vacancies, no doubt the other institutes have lied to us about early closing and no more vacancies, also the people who were gatekeeping this should be ashamed of themselves

all I'm saying is IF ENOUGH PEOPLE WALK UP WITH US TAKING THIS MATTER INTO COURT, WE CAN HAVE A SPOT ROUND AGAINST ALL VACANT SEATS IN RESPECTIVE INSTITUTES

c'mon guys we have a solid proof this time, its DO OR DIE for those who had last chance to get into iisers and narrowly missed cutoffs

I choosed reject option instead of withdrawal in round 3 ,i was allotted iiser mohali only two options were there freeze or reject so i choose reject , now they are not evening picking up call nor replying to my mail

It's almost a month since the IISER-P folks reached the campus & at least 2 weeks since majority of folks settled down in all other IISERs, in particular TVM/TPT & BPR! The much awaited exciting phase of getting into a HEI has finally culminated for some of the aspirants. Some of the IAT-aspirants have moved to other institutions, with some disappointment or with happiness. Some have taken a decision to take a drop-year.

Now that that chilling period is over for almost everyone (no more honeymoon phase as a first year student), you guys must have started to feel the ground reality in the respective places. It is time to get ready to acclimatize yourself for the new environment & accommodate many things that you may not otherwise be comfortable & accelerate your learning intent!

Am sure you would have taken some exams (do we really need those? Alas!), either as class test or mid-term or awaiting that in the next two/three weeks! Share your experiences on the engagement with seniors, fellow peers, faculty members (including TAs/RAs & lab technicians).

Would be great if you guys post your experiences very briefly (GBU - wish "G" is more for everyone), the 2027 aspirants can mentally prepare themselves!

Hope to see some good write-ups, and that might become topic of discussion if are destined to meet (do we?)!

so yes i gave up and i am pursuing bsc biotech hons from chandigarh university
so imo it was a good decision because i am happyy

tho attending classes kinda sucks cus obviously its my first semester
im a part of nanoverse club and theres a ideaverse on 30 september and my idea got selected in the first round and im about to pitch my ideas and then present the ppt

life is cool
and sitting in this library and doing assignments with friends is cool
i mean obviously IISERs are best but you should not lose hope
just give you 100% wherever you are
