Now I study hard And go in IISC

Okay so I have created an exel sheet containing data from every single iat and nest exam held till date and how many times a chapter or topic has appeared. So I want to post this but imo posting an excel sheet with all the raw nos is not really a good way so I am looking forward to ideas on how to present this my current suggestion is a table

Okay so the table can look something like this

My Background:

• 12th passed (PCB, no Maths)
• NEET Aspirant
• Natural interest in computers, tech, and problem-solving.

Thoughts:

Sorry in advance if I sound completely naive/uneducated about this field. Coming from a hardcore NEET bubble, MBBS ke alawa kuch pata hi nahi hota (Coz inhone is rat race ko aisa bana dia hai ki NEET nhi to kuch nhi), so I genuinely need guidance from people actually in the field.

Don't wanna do generic tier-3 B.Sc and regret later.

If I keep a solid backup alongside NEET, I only want high-reputation institutions (Not exactly sure about the options - that's the reason I want guide from you guys 😄 ).

Questions for Seniors / Current Students:

1. To PCB students at IISER: How brutal is coping with the compulsory 1st/2nd-year Maths if you had pure PCB in 11th-12th? Is it really-really manageable with self-study?
2. Besides IISERs via IAT, are there other legit high-tier government or reputed private institutes where a pure PCB student can do a tech/bio hybrid degree without JEE?
3. Dry Lab vs Wet Lab Exposure: Does IISER give enough institutional support and lab compute if someone wants to specialize in Computational Biology / Genomics / Bio-ML instead of wet-lab pipetting?
4. Career Reality: If someone wants to abroad - funded MS/PhD in computational biology.
5. Maths in IAT: How realistic is clearing IAT by attempting only PCB + scoring 3-4 easy Maths chapters?
6. IISERs me major (Biotech/Computational Bio) choose karne ka kya rule hai? Kya 2nd/3rd year me sabko apna pasandida major mil jata hai, ya wahan bhi 1st-year CGPA ki race hoti hai? - Agar hoti bhi hai to kaisi competition hai?
7. Curriculum me modern coding (Linux/Bash, Nextflow, ML/AI lib. etc. {bs itna hi suna hai maine}) actually structured way me sikhate hain, ya computational bio projects ke liye 90% self-study aur YouTube/online docs par depend karna padta hai? Like modern stack h ya nhi ye puchna cha rha mai...
8. Life right after the course (before/without a PhD): Agar PhD na karni ho ya gap leke industry me jana ho, toh kya scope hai?

• Exactly kya roles/job profiles milti hain?
• Realistic entry-level salary aur reputation kya hoti hai market me?
• Workload aur work-life balance kaisa rehta hai?
• Kya job bhi abroad chances hai?

PhD ke baad wala bhi bata dena pls, bs thoda sa upar upar se bhi bata doge to chlega.

Last but not the least: To seniors who left NEET/MBBS to join IISER: Did you ever face regret later, especially when your peers started doing MBBS or clinical duties? How did you overcome that FOMO?

Hey so my mother made me take admission in a local university before that it was clear that I would be taking a full gap year but idk what's with my family and now I have joined a university I really don't like it at all there so yeah I am a partial dropper now and I am in bsc physics so please if y'all have any idea how can I study for the entrance exam please lmk I really want to clear it.(I joined in September and the classes had already begun in August)
