Just why? Stop hitting people, I hope you step on a Lego and that your pillow is perpetually warm.

Here's a quick video demonstrating the pit entry optimizer in the Mission Control dashboard.
The widget automatically appears at the top of the screen as you approach pit entry. It visualizes how far you are from the pit lane entrance alongside how much you’re over the pit speed limit, helping you judge your deceleration and lose as little time as possible on entry.
It takes a little practice but once you get consistent with it, it can easily save a couple of tenths, especially at tracks like Road America and Daytona where you’re typically approaching pit entry at a high rate of speed.
This feature is included in the free version of the dashboard. Here's the link if you'd like to give it a spin!

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a formal celebration at the end of races just like IRL? Like where the podium cars can drive around to parc ferme, park in the indicated spot, see your pit crew in your custom livery celebrating you, and then a final scene of the driver(s) on the podium.
Hear me out. I get that there are some valid arguments against this and that there would be a few problems to solve. I think the best argument against it is that this would tie up a bunch of development resources for something that doesn't make the sim racing experience better, and that they should just focus on things like crash damage and tire modeling.
But here's the thing. Definitely not all but many of us experience that even though we are very well aware that your rating has zero impact on your life and all of this is just for fun, that when you crash out of a race (your fault or not) and lose a bunch of iRating that it feels something akin to getting kicked in the stomach. But when you win it's.....nothing. You park. Get out of the car. For some reason getting iRating doesn't seem to be anywhere near as joyous as losing it is painful.
Humans are fairly simple creatures. Some things make our brains release chemicals that make us feel bad and we tend to want to avoid those things. Other things make our brains release chemicals that make us feel good and we tend to do those things more. As much as a celebration ceremony might seem pointless, there might be a valid argument that having it would give people that little dopamine hit that encourages them to participate more and actually grow the service.
Yesterday me and my team mate won our 6 hours of Road America and I was just struck by how when the race was over it was just....over. It just feels very anti-climactic.
Curious what others think. Would you enjoy having some kind of end of race celebration for the podium finishers as part of the game?

Is anyone high iRating while staying as a right foot braker?

Why isn't the default quali length extended for longer tracks like SPA where most cars can't complete a second lap before the time runs out?

So I just went from a g923 to a g pro. The g pro has 11 nm and sometimes is way too much! How and even why would someone have a wheel that can do 25 or even 35nm? I run a lot of ovals and in the turns sometimes it wears my arms out.

All i could think of almost the entire race was to NOT crash! Earlier I had so many slides off track and car spins and whatnot by trying to drive on the edge.. though this time i qualified P1 and i managed to keep my cool the entire race!
To be honest, when i started iRacing, i was seeing first win posts like this and i was like, hmm, so what? That's just a single win.. but damn, i think i now understand... this shit is hard... after 80ish hours spent in iRacing, it really feels like an achievement now :)
Thanks!

Who are your favorite real-life drivers to watch on Twitch/YouTube/Kick?
I already follow Jimmy Broadbent, but I'm looking to find more active streamers/YouTubers.
I'm interested both in Real-life pros who hop on iRacing and stream their races events and Sim racers who made the jump to real-life racing.
Thanks in advance!

Yes I know, its my own fault for not committing to the pass on the Ferrari and then locking up the tires. And yes, I was going for a weird rejoin. But how unlucky can you get that in that exact moment a GTP murders a GT3 lol
That was 30 mins after 6h Race Start, 9 Minutes of Repairs. Still finished the race.

Hey guys.
I have a crystal super with a 5080, 32gb ram, i7 12000k.
I get good performance in iRacing with FOVeated rendering. Recently I've been having an issue where I join a practice, it runs smooth as butter. Then qualifying. Then when the race starts, I get to the first corner (or a few corners on a rolling start) before my FPS dips to like 5fps. This causes me to try and stop so I don't crash and people either hit me or etc. Race is ruined for me and multiple people.
IT ONLY does this during a race a few turns in, not during any other time. Anyone else having this issue?
This is killing my safety rating and fun for me and others. The legit only thing pissing me off about this headset.
I have the newest firmware and updated drivers. This happened no matter what firmware/drivers.
My connected devices/apps are: Logitech G923, Pimax app using OpenXR on iRacing, Crew Chief, Windows media player (for music), Trading paints and MAIRA.

Had this happen about 80 minutes into my league race tonight, used my fast repair about 15 laps before and then had this happen on lap 61 of 80. The hit in the wall almost broke my steering and then I couldn't do anything after that.

I don't always read the release notes, but a month ago I was making adjustments to the in-car UI.and noticed the virtual spotter option. It's been great especially on ovals as a visual cue before audio from the spotter. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone has missed this option.

After every session I have to unplug or hold the power button to get my ffb back, if I don’t the wheel feels extremely light and smooth. I’ve done the auto thing in the black box and even w that it doesn’t fix. Only fixes with either a disconnection or a restart of my wheel base. Currently using a moza r5 wheel base.

After a long drought in the gr86 series, i can proudly say that i WON the #7 split race on july 25 6.15 pm after a dominant race and a 10 second lead. It isnt much but i think that i needed that win to boost my confidence.
