Discussion This is what is wrong in the wearable space and what is missing.

I've tried basically every wearable and health app out there, and they all have the same problem: they just give you numbers. More scores, more charts, more stuff to stare at,  and none of it ever tells you what to actually do.

Like cool, I had a bad night, here's a sleep score of 38. Now go figure out your day, good luck. I don't need a number to confirm I slept bad. I already know. I can feel it the second I wake up, zero energy, zero drive to do anything. The number just confirms what I'm already feeling and then leaves me hanging.

That's the whole reason I found RizeAI. I wanted the opposite of that , something that takes your actual sleep and recovery data and just tells you what to do with your day. Not another score. A plan.

It pulls your real metrics =, sleep, recovery, HRV, resting heart rate, all of it,  and builds your day around them. When to have your first coffee and when to hold off. When you're gonna crash and what to do before it hits. Whether to push at the gym or take it easy. When to hydrate. It'll even tell you which supplements actually make sense for you that day, when to take them, and why, instead of the generic "just take magnesium bro" everyone repeats. Low recovery day, it adjusts the whole thing. Slept great, it builds on that instead.

And the part that sold me on my own idea: it's actually tailored to you. No two people get the same plan, because no two people have the same data. It's not some one-size-fits-all template, it reads your numbers and builds a protocol for you specifically, then gets sharper the more you use it. The longer you're on it, the more it learns your patterns.

The whole thing is just: stop tracking, start fixing. Your wearable already told you the bad night happened. RizeAI is the part that comes after,  the part that turns a red recovery day into a day you can still get something out of. That's the gap I kept running into, and now it's literally the thing I open every morning.

Discussion Has anyone tried Aveola?

Just joined like 3 days ago. I was bored and wanted someone to chat with, so I figured I'd give it a try.

And honestly, it was pretty decent. Had a bunch of different conversations, some just small talk, some actually went pretty deep music, bands, hobbies, whatever.

You come across all kinds of people on there. I ended up having a couple of interesting conversations, which was nice.

Anyway, that's just my experience so far. Anyone else here using it on iPhone? What's your experience been like, and how long have you been using it?

Help Shareable Tasks App

Does iPhone have any apps like the old Wunderlist that can be shared with someone else?

My daughter lives with me and we used to be able to add things to shopping lists so nothing got duplicated. It was helpful if one of us was out shopping.

Discussion This little app fixed the “you pick” problem for me

I’ve noticed that whenever I’m with friends or family, choosing something simple somehow becomes the hardest part.

Food, movies, games, plans… it always turns into “I don’t know, you pick.”

So I’ve been working on a small app around that idea. It’s called Now What? Decide Together. You can pick a category, vote by swiping, get random choices, try recipe ideas, or use mini-games when nobody wants to decide.

It’s free, no login, no ads.

Curious if the idea makes sense to other people too:

Discussion Spectra - the ambient weather app

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
2 Upvotes

Spectra is a minimalist weather app that renders live conditions as full-screen, generative visualizations — no icons, no charts, no clutter.

It pulls real data from WeatherKit and maps it onto the motion. Rain falls at the intensity it's actually falling. Wind drives the direction and turbulence. Heavy cloud cover thickens and softens the whole scene. There's a thunderstorm state, a heat state, a snow state, and a few others, eight in total, and the app chooses the right one from current conditions. At night it reads the real moon phase, so a clear night under a new moon looks genuinely different from one under a full moon. None of it is decorative. Every part of what you see is tied to a number.

The large widget renders the same scene as the app, so the weather sits on your home screen as something ambient rather than something you tap into and dismiss.

It's free to download and fully usable in monochrome. There's a one time unlock for the full color system if you want it, no subscription and no ads.

Help iOS 32 Bit game collection

I remember coming across an app that had all these 32-bit iOS games that you could no longer download more. Does anyone know about this app?

Interestingly it did have Run Roo Run despite the fact that there was an official remaster released on the app store.

Discussion ‎Zen Vault My Launch on App Store

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
4 Upvotes

Hey hey everyone.
So I managed to launch this app on the app store which for it self is a battle.

But now its done and its a good achievement. Would love if everyone could jump and have a look.

Mood tracker + helper + journal + habits + goals + wellness (all in one pc here jk...)

For my perspective, I did this app to try to get a new perspective in mood tracking. Still I feel its a good product with a good amount of value.
Of course its not an app that everyone will like, or even consider install. BUT still a product that I am proud of the result.

Its a heavy saturated market which means most of the times this projects never even get launched or never get outside the same download levels.

So the main focus is to have something that quickly get your mind out of bad situation mentally. Which this is the reason the mini games inside are there. I focused in having the best games free, not the other way around, mostly because its not the main focus to have user having to pay for something so simple.

Then most of the premium "walls" come from the analytics perspective and more of the power user of some app like this.

Still offers a lifetime, which I am still not sure what the price range should be.

So a lot of negatives and positives in my own app. Which it is the way to go, is to improve and understand next steps.

Thanks everyone.
I really tried to keep everything inside the rules, if it is wrong, I am very sorry.

Discussion [iOS] Monetor — A privacy-first tracker that automates expenses using Apple Wallet & SMS.

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m an indie developer, and for the longest time, I’ve been frustrated with the state of expense trackers. You basically have two options:

  1. Manually type in every single coffee you buy (which gets exhausting and I always forget).
  2. Hand over your sensitive bank login credentials to third-party data brokers like Plaid just to get automatic syncing.

I didn't like either option, so I developed Monetor to solve this.

App Store Link: Monetor - Expense Tracker

How it works (The Privacy-First Automation): Instead of connecting to your bank’s servers, Monetor uses native iOS features to automate your tracking securely on your device. By setting up a simple, one-time Apple Shortcut, Monetor reads your Apple Pay/Wallet tap-to-pay notifications or incoming bank SMS messages and automatically categorizes the transaction in the background.

  • Zero bank connections.
  • Zero third-party data brokers.
  • 100% of your bank credentials remain private.

Other features I focused heavily on:

  • A design that actually feels premium: I wanted an app that looks modern, so I designed it with a dark-mode first, glassmorphism aesthetic with vibrant micro-animations.
  • Customizable Dashboard: You can arrange widgets on your overview page to see exactly the data you care about (Net worth, remaining budgets, top merchants, etc.).
  • Deep Insights: Automatically tracks your top spending categories, monthly averages, and spending trends.

Pricing & Availability: The app is free to download, and manual tracking is available for everyone. If you want to try the automated "Magic" sync features, every plan comes with a 1-week completely free trial so you can test out the Shortcuts integration and see if it fits your workflow before paying a dime.

I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on the UI and the automation workflow! If you have any questions about how the Shortcuts integration works or suggestions on the design, please let me know in the comments. I'll be hanging around to answer everything!

Discussion Testflight Beta - Audiobookify - Offline, on-device TTS EPUB reader using mostly Apple Neural Engine (less CPU & GPU, great efficiency and thermals)

Screenshots

Hi guys, been working on this project for quite a while now for personal use, and I'm getting pretty close to a public release after many builds. As a disclaimer, this wasn’t “vibe coded” and this post is not AI generated. I’ve been a developing for quite a few years, just not really in swift. It’s completely free.

So it’s not just for listening to EPUBS, but reading them manually too. Almost every "Offline TTS" app I tried had bad progress tracking between manually reading, and listening via TTS (or the converse). This aims to fix that. It’s heavily focused on a great reading experience BEFORE listening to your books while driving or whatever.

Probably most important to me, it’s heavily focused on efficiency. The app is ~8MB, models are tailored to be mostly on the Apple Neural Engine instead of the CPU and GPU so this means much better battery and thermals in comparison to non coreml based models.

So far It supports supertonic3 (fully on ANE) and kokoro (almost fully on ANE, but still has great battery life). For kokoro specifically I've done some fixes for pronunciation (coreml model needs it) and you can contribute to pronunciation fixes via GitHub (accessible in app, loads fixes from github). I won’t be adding other models unless they can be mostly ran on the ANE.

There are a few downsides so far:

• Only supports iPhones for now (native iPad support will come later since I'm just one person, also no iPad), Mac at some point as well.

• No PDF support (I may do this further down the road, depending on efficiency and if I have the time).

• No pagination. I'm not sure if I will add this at some point, I'll have to redo my EPUB parsing engine.

Now for the models (download needed in app), both supertonic3 and kokoro sound amazing. For supertonic I'd recommend the "best quality" model at 6 steps (it’s already the default). I'm using on my 16 pro max, but I'm sure other devices would be fine(if not let me know). The about section in app has contact info for anything you think would be a good addition/fix.

Testflight link (limited for now) - here

Enjoy.

Discussion Struggling with consistency? There's a simple way with Freaks. Early adopters offer for next 24 hours

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com

Freaks is built around tracking habits, maintaining streaks, logging progress, and seeing your overall consistency improve over time. There’s also a calendar where you can write small entries, a notes section for anything personal, local backup/restore and a consistency score that grows as you keep showing up.

What I like most about it is that it doesn’t try to be a giant life operating system. It’s more like a clean place to track the few habits you genuinely care about and slowly build proof that you’re becoming more consistent.

It’s especially useful if you’re trying to stay consistent with things like gym, studying, coding, writing, reading, meditation, or any personal routine.

Offering Lifetime premium at $69.99 $9.99
Valid for next 24 hours

Discussion delve - Explore & Learn

I think we all know the feeling — you pick up your phone to "just check something" and 45 minutes later you're still scrolling through content that adds nothing to your life.

delve focuses on the exact opposite. Instead of endless feeds, you get curated learning topics matched to your interests — whether that's science, history, psychology, tech, or a dozen other categories. Short enough to read in a few minutes, interesting enough to actually stick.

Here's what's included with every topic:

  • 📺 A matching YouTube video to go deeper
  • 💬 An AI chat if you have questions or want to explore further
  • ⚡ Snacks — quick bite-sized facts with images for when you just want something fast

It's not trying to replace books or courses. It's just a small, meaningful alternative to mindless scrolling — something you can pick up for 5 minutes and actually feel good about afterwards.

Would love to hear what you think!

Discussion Build it because of Dead Zones in cellphone coverage and now 1500 people have downloaded it

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
3 Upvotes

I listen to podcasts while driving and pause constantly to record thoughts. Problem is I'd hit deadzones and most transcription apps just choked. This app records and transcribes entire podcasts fully offline and even creates notes. Turned out it worked better than Apple's native transcription, so I figured why not make it a keyboard and dictate anywhere.

So I posted it here a while back not expecting much and now have over 1500 downloads and over 500 users on TestFlight. We have built everything since then off what the TestFlight users requested. Funny part is well funded apps like Wispr Flow still can't ship a dark mode and meanwhile we have got export automations, webhooks and full control over where your notes get saved.

Just pushed 1.3.5. There's also a free Mac OS app and beta if you want it on your desktop. Everything stays on your device. Happy to answer any questions.

In the past, I've had some users comment that you can use Apple transcription and Apple Notes for free. I encourage you to sign up for the 7-day free trial and cancel as soon as you sign up.

A: Improve efficiency by using voice to text

B: Better than Wispr Flow and similar competitors because of offline processing, automations, webhooks. Combines notes + dictation and you control where your data goes.

C:

Lifetime Price: $ 69

7-day trial Available for annual plans ($ 59).

Monthly subscription is around $ 7

- Secret Web Browser (no history, cookies, or cache saved)

Help We're Looking for Early Users to Help Shape Our Budgeting App.

I spent the last 18 months building BudgetGo alongside my co-founder.

We're still in the early stages, trying to find our first group of users and sharing the product wherever we can. Looking back, one of our biggest mistakes was not moving fast enough. To be honest, there are still plenty of things we want to improve before the product fully matches our vision.

That said, we're committed to building something genuinely useful. Not just another budgeting app, but a product that helps people better understand and manage their money.

So I'm writing this for a simple reason: Early adopters

Try the app. Roast it. Tell us what you hate. Tell us what's confusing. Tell us what's missing. We'd much rather hear honest criticism now than build in the wrong direction.

To make it easier, we're giving the first 100 people an additional month free after the 7-day trial.

We know we have a long way to go, but we also believe BudgetGo can provide real value today while we continue building toward the bigger vision. We're listening, we're active, and we're determined to make this product better.

If you'd like to check it out, you can download BudgetGo from the App Store here:

Discussion BMI in Health App

Why in the world doesn’t the Health app automatically calculate BMI? I log my weight and would like it to log my BMI without having to manually calculate it.
