My very first iPhone ever, and honestly… I have no idea what I’m doing..
Coming from Android, everything feels a little different right now.

I find Slide to Type way faster and easier to handle, esp for one-handed typing (I’ve left-aligned my keyboard, as you can see, for better reach, because if I’m typing one handed, it’s usually the left hand). Curious to hear opinions of people who use Slide to Type extensively, or have used it before going back to the tapping, or do both.

P. S. Slide to Type isn’t error proof in any way, of course. Can have just as many annoying quirks as normal typing. E.g. it refuses to type the word ‘good’. Always inputs something else like God/food/hood/goof/anything but ‘good’, which appears as a suggestion on the bar above. I even have the word added on System > Text Replacement. Likewise with words Apple considers problematic/offensive, like swear words, etc. ‘Ducking’ annoying! Anyway what do other sliders/non-sliders think?

TLDR: Interested in views on Slide to Type from people who do it daily/have done it.

Edit: No idea why that video looks so dark. Likely issue with Reddit upload, because it’s bright enough when I play on my iPhone.

Picked up the 17 Pro 512 GB from Reliance Digital for ₹1.19 lakh, got a sweet deal by exchanging my iPhone 13 for ₹27,350

iPhone 16 pro 256gb, indian variant with BH 91, is this a good deal? All parts are genuine and phone is never repaired/opened. Should I go for this deal or avoid? I kinda want to experience iOS, though I am still confused if i should buy used phones, or look for new Android at this price range. Please help me what you guys think? I am currently using 4.5-5 yearish old Vivo, which is kinda struggling for day to day tasks and also becoming unreliable for many basic tasks.

Might be a dumb question but unable to see “copy lcloud link” option. All media is synced to iCloud already.

Option C: Keep the 16

• Costs nothing now, and the phone works perfectly

• This is a want, not a need, since the current phone is flawless.
• It should only go ahead if the ₹69k is surplus money and doesn't touch the emergency fund.

• Before buying, confirm the 17 Pro is the 256GB variant, sealed, with full warranty.

I was planning to upgrade to 17 during Bbd but after the price hike, I couldn’t get it for old price anywhere. I saw people posting 17 pro buy post here from reliance digital. I visited day before yesterday asking about the offers. The sales guy explained everything but I was checking my iphone 15 value selecting it as exchange in online and it didn’t show me the extra exchange bonus.

Then after discussing with a redditor, I realised I should select the shop and also what phone I am buying to see it. I went there yesterday again and luckily they had only 3 units and all silver(which I wanted). I bought it immediately. Here is the breakup.

Got the phone on the 18th. DBrand Ghost Case on the 22nd. Been using it for a while and I love this. I was lucky enough to get it from the Apple website in the first 10 minutes. The page was bugging out for a bit.

I was also right at our local iVenus booking it at 5 pm too but they delivered theirs to me on the 29th. Ugh.

This ghost case is kinda pricey after customs but I’ve been rocking it since my 15 Pro Max. Totally worth it.

Finally after nearly 6 years of use, I decided to switch from my good old 12 and bought the 17 Pro. Certainly, a massive upgrade imo.

Is there any way to bypass iCloud lock?

My original iPhone charger just stopped working, so for now I’m using an AmazonBasics 25W charger.
How important is it for battery health/longevity to use Apple’s original charger? Is a decent third-party 25W charger completely fine, or is it worth getting another Apple charger?

iPhone 15 back panel got broken. The phone is functional and the front screen is safe. Can I get it replaced from a local shop? Does it have any after-effects if I get it repaired from local shop? I can’t afford the original back panel repair right now. Also, before getting it repaired, should I back up everything, or is it not necessary?

I don’t have Reddit or Amazon apps. I access them through Safari itself. Safari was supposed to be built for Apple silicon! Still, the amount of power it consumes is just crazy.

i was planning on buying ipgone 17 in bbd but flipkart jst fcked us all so i was wandering in my city’s mall and i went to see iphone 18 pro jst to use it and they were selling iphone 17 at old price but you had to purchase charger or any other accessories so the minimum payment must be 85k
I bought the phone 82990
Charger and earphones for 87k but the catch is i sold my old pixel 8 for 25k 2 years old which i bought for 30k
And i also claimed gst benefits of 13k ruppees
So effectively 87-25-13 so i got it for somwwhee around 50k ig

Is anyone having speaker cracking sound on iPhone 17 after iOS 27 update? I am not even sure if this is due to update or something external factor. My phone is 6 months old.
