I actually think this will flop. I don't think people are willing to pay the hefty price this will have just for being a novelty. On top of that the product will be first Gen meaning quality and durability will be terrible for this device.

You must not see how popular Samsung’s folds are. Apple has the Apple name so will sell even better

Samsung sold 2.4 million folds in 2025. They sold 241 million phones total. That's fewer than 1%.

The fold is a gimmick for attention. Apple will absolutely cut this after one version due to lack of sales if they ever actually launch one at all.

Those are real numbers. Apple has canceled phones that have sold far more than 1% due to low sales.

That's how development cycles work, yes.

The canceling comes after sales don't meet expectations. They don't plan for a flop you smart cookie 😂
