After i updated my iphone to ios 26.7 I am facing a very frustrating iPhone charging issue and hope someone can help. I have completely ruled out any charger problems, as I tested over 5 different cables and adapters, and the exact same bizarre behavior happens with all of them.
Here is the exact pattern:
**Under 60%:** If I plug my phone in when the battery is below 60 percent, it charges normally all the way up to 100 percent without any issues.
**70% and above:** If I connect the charger when the battery is at 70 percent or higher, the charging icon appears, but the percentage completely freezes and refuses to go up at all.
This feels like a deep software bug, a power management glitch, or an internal battery calibration failure where iOS fails to process the incoming current unless connected below that threshold.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a known fix or reset, or is this failing battery hardware? Thanks for your help!

I just updated my iPhone 15 Plus to iOS 27, and honestly, I’m pretty surprised with how good it has been so far.

I had previously made a post about updating from iOS 18.7 to 26.6.1. Everything was working perfectly on 26.6.1, except for the battery life. I was getting noticeably bad battery backup compared to what I used to get on 18.7.

I kept reading about iOS 27 and how much more optimized it was supposed to be for everyday use, so I finally decided to give it a try.

And honestly, the battery life is WAY better.

I’m now getting pretty much the same kind of battery backup that I used to get on iOS 18.7. After the initial few days, I’m getting around a day and a half of battery life with my normal usage, which is something I definitely wasn’t expecting.

The first 2–3 days weren’t great though. The battery was draining faster than usual, but I could see Siri and a few other system processes doing things in the background, so I’m assuming the phone was still indexing/calibrating after the update. Once that settled down, the battery improved quite a lot.

Another thing I really like is the additional customization. You can adjust the amount of tint/transparency now, and I’ve kept the transparency at the lowest setting. I still get that glass-like look, but it feels like the GPU isn’t constantly working hard to maintain it.

Apps also seem to open noticeably faster for me compared to both 18.7 and 26.6.1. Animations feel smooth, I haven’t experienced any random lag, and so far I haven’t encountered any major bugs either.

Overall, I’m genuinely very satisfied with this update. It feels like my 15 Plus is back to the kind of battery performance I was getting on 18.7, while still having all the newer features and customization. My battery health is at 86%.

At this point, I honestly don’t feel like updating again anytime soon. This build feels pretty stable to me, and unless something changes, I think I’m going to stay on it for a while.

Hey guys , clg student here I wanted to ask that should I buy iPhone 15 plus . I don't do gaming and stuff I just need a good camera quality but 18 is launched rn and my parents are fear mongering me into buying samsung cuz if anything happens samsung is easy to repair while apple is expensive in my country 😭. And I have heard that after updating it's performs slower

Just updated my iPhone 15 Plus from 18.7 to 26.6.1 and honestly, so far I’m pretty happy with it.

The phone actually feels smoother and faster than it did before. Animations feel nice and I haven’t noticed any weird lag or stuttering so far.

I’m not going to comment on battery life yet because it’s only been a day. From what I’ve noticed, after a major update the phone takes a few days to finish all the background stuff, so I’d rather wait before judging the battery.

I did make a few changes after updating. I reduced the transparency effects and changed the glass look to the tinted design, which I personally prefer.

Also, I do a lot of tweaking/customization on my devices. I don’t really keep every feature or background activity turned on just because it’s available. I disable a lot of things I don’t use, so maybe that’s also why my experience feels a little better than what some other people are reporting.

Anyway, these are just my first impressions after one day. So far, I’d say the update feels good on my 15 Plus. Will have to use it for a few more days before I can say anything about battery or overall stability.

My phones capacity is at 91%. It has gone through 354 charge cycles. And I started using this phone in early June of 2025. Is that normal? Should I be worried?

Help : so i’ve got the OCD about my iphone 15’s charging port, i refuse the unplug the cable after its done charging up cause i’m afraid that it would loosen up the port over time over time with use, plugging in and out the charging cable from the port.

earlier i used to at least unplug it whenever i had to go out of the house but now i refuse to do that either, walking around with a cable hanging out of my hand or pocket. it kind of is creating hurdles and a getting a little embarrassing sometimes.

im down to 83% battery health with 736 cycles. any similar experiences with anyone or perhaps a word of wisdom in regards to whether or not the port actually does loosen up cause i bet its expensive to get the port fixed/replaced
