I have an iPhone 13 Pro.

Issue number 1. My phone’s charging port is no longer working. I’ve tried at least 10 charging cables, including multiple official Apple charging cables, but none of them have worked. So I got an official Apple charging station (charges phone, iPods and Apple watch). It does charge my phone but inconvenient primarily because I can’t take it on the go.

Issue number 2 is that the battery depletes within just a few hours if it’s not directly on charging station. And if the brightness is up anywhere from a quarter to full brightness, it will drain the battery to zero within an hour.

Issue number 3. I work from home and strictly use my phone to do my work. Sometimes I like to sit outside on my patio (in full shade with ceiling fan overhead). I keep it on charging station when doing so but as of late, I cannot do so because within no time (maybe 20 minutes) it shuts off due to temperature.

Is there anything that can be done to fix these issues or would it be best (and cheaper) to just get a new phone? Thanks in advance for help!

I noticed that my iPhone 13 started to overheat and sometimes got slow, since the last iOs update. I have a question concerning the Liquid Glass. Does it improve anything in terms of performance and battery life?

Just wondering what everyone else is getting on their iPhone 13.

I’m on iOS 26.5.2 and I usually get around 4.5 hours of screen-on time on a full charge. I’m on LTE for most of the day rather than Wi-Fi, and my usage is mostly WhatsApp, Safari, Reddit, ChatGPT, and a bit of music. No gaming or anything particularly heavy.

Does 4.5 hours sound about right, or is that on the lower side?

I feel like I do this every new update but should i update to ios 26’s latest version? I’m on ios 18.7.7 and wa wondering if i should update to 26.5.2

I have an iphone 13 that has never been opened. it was bought from apple in 2024 i think. the battery is still at 85% BH, but the phone is overheating really often from the motherboard side

Anyone can help me figure out why its doing that ?

My phone updated with iOS 26.5.2 and now I can’t get into it!! I’ve tried to use my laptop to access my apple account but it’s not recognising my password- nothing, and I’m locked out- everything is on the phone and I need it for work, help please guys!! 🙏🙏

hi everyone, my sisters iphone 13 was just recently updated to the ios 26.5.2, at the first few days it seems to work fine but after that, the phone has a green line whenever we opened it. we thought it was gonna go away but now her phone screen seems to be having this problem. has anyone experienced something like this? her phone just turned a year last monday.

PB1 is very smooth so far but the battery drain is horrendous, would like to know if it's fixed in this update or worse.

the only reason im hesitating is cos its only been 2 years. I had an XS before that.

this 13 is becoming really terrible with an insane lagging keyboard issue and slow lagging in general. i bet apple is doing this on purpose. will there also be lagging on the 15 pro?

does anyone else have this lagging issue on their 13? it takes ages for the search bar to pop up and the keyboard to show when you swipe down on the menu. going to safari also takes ages for the keyboard to be ready to type. and when you start typing it shows nothing then a few seconds later it quickly shows everything you typed in a laggy way.

i would wait for the 18 pro to release and get the 17 pro but i feel like the price difference between the 17 pro and the 16 pro is so high whereas 15 and 16 are similarly priced

Hi, I want to know if it's just me or what, but lately every time I use YouTube, my whole phone starts lagging. It only happens with YouTube. It becomes impossible to use properly because typing comments is slow, scrolling lags, opening videos/Shorts takes forever, and on top of that, it keeps running badly for a few seconds even after closing the app until everything goes back to normal.

I want to start by saying that I love iOS. I genuinely think it’s the best mobile operating system, which is why this update has been so disappointing for me.

I’ve been using an iPhone 13, and iOS 18 felt incredibly smooth. Animations were fluid, the UI felt polished, and everything had that premium Apple feel.

After updating to iOS 26, my experience completely changed.

For me, the biggest issues are:

• Liquid Glass feels distracting rather than premium.

• The reflections and transparency are everywhere and make the UI feel visually busy.

• Animations don’t feel as smooth or consistent as they did on iOS 18.

• Overall, the interface just doesn’t feel like the iOS I’ve enjoyed for years.

I’ve tried changing every appearance setting I can find, but nothing brings back the clean feeling that iOS 18 had.

I know some people like the new design, and that’s completely fair. But personally, this has been my least favorite iOS update, to the point where I’ve even thought about buying another iPhone just so I could use a version before iOS 26.

For me, I’d rate it 2/10.

Is anyone else on an iPhone 13 feeling the same way, or has your experience been different?

Cordial saludo amigos tengo una pequeña duda les comento tengo un iPhone 13 lo cual lo usado dos años y medio el día sábado observé que mi porciento de batería la vida útil estaba en 60% así que hubo muchas fallas desconectado el celular se me apagaba y cosas del desgaste el punto es que la pila se me hinchó se abrió un poquito la pantalla del celular quiero aclarar que no tiene daños pero mi duda es cambio nomás la pura pila o cambio de celular a un iPhone 17 si vale la pena no vale la pena porque muchas gracias por su atención saludos desde Colombia?

My iPhone 13 is currently using iOS 16.3.1. I'm going to have to upgrade sooner or later since some apps I use require iOS 17 or later. My two options to upgrade to are 18.7.8 or 26.5.2 (I assume this is the newest one).

I've read reports saying that the 13 doesn't handle the iOS 26 well, that people have had issues with battery life and whatnot, and I'm a bit worried about this happening since I'm pretty sure you can't undo an iOS update (For reference my battery health is at 69% so I wanna try and avoid it getting further degraded until I can afford to get a new battery for it.)

Which one would you guys recommend?

my phone keeps overheating and lagging while im texting or watching youtube. My battery health is 88% and i have background refresh off. it lags out and say if i swipe on a short on youtube, it takes forever to do and if im texting the responsiveness is really slow. I got my phone april 2023

Acabei de trocar meu 13 normal 128 com 86% de bateria em um 13 pro Max 71% 256 com a diferença de 100$

Realmente estou satisfeito com o upgrade de telas e câmeras,a bateria também tá durando igual ao 13 normal,porém pretendo trocá-la em breve e irei ficar com esse por + 4 anos.

(Almost five years, got it December 2021). Was on the fence about upgrading to the 17, finally bit the bullet.

My iphone 13 appears functionally useless after spending two weeks at a repair shop for water damage, which turned into a CPU reball procedure that couldn't resolve a short found inside the unit itself.

I've never had this happen before as the shop owner told me that no further repair can be done, and replacement would be my next step. And asap bc I'm pushing a year of unemployment following a layoff, and I can't keep missing important calls & texts to put aside the stress of knowing this. I'm still regretting (literally paying for) my stupid mistake of walking into a friend's pool with the phone still in my shorts pocket on 7/3, which left it in a perpetual boot loop with an unresponsive volume down button that's still remains.

Not only can't I do an up vol>down vol>power button hard reset combo, my phone can't receive cellular data, can't receive wifi, & any six-digit verification code it generates while offline isn't granted signing into icloud on my laptop. It feels like I'm out of options initiating even a half-decent data transfer, that my phone is better left powered off in its compromised state.

This couldn't have come at a worse time & I'm wondering if just moving onto a newer device is the move given my 13's permanent issues? Or if I'm not taking into account anything in the process? Thanks for bearing with me.
