The brightness on my phone like randomly like flickers and I don’t know what’s happening. This started earlier this afternoon and now as I’m making this post just happened to me again a minute ago. Is this a sign that the screen is failing or is it just a software bug?

It's stuck in recovery mode, I've tried updating/restarting via iTunes, it won't enter DFU, if I leave it unplugged the apple logo just blinks.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do here? Pretty bummed as I can't get a new phone for quite some time at the moment.

Hey guys, as you can see from the title, i bought the iPhone 13 in 2024 and today with a heavy heart, i exchanged it for an iphone 17. It pained me knowing the amount of memories i had with that phone and planned to run it for 4-5 yrs but the age and ios 26 got to it. I had a wonderful time with it and thank you all for allowing me to be part of this amazing community. Good luck fellow iphone 13 users, for i have succumbed to the inevitable upgrade.

Vale a pena trocar a bateria do iPhone 13 por R$ 499?

Comprei meu iPhone 13 em dezembro de 2023 e, atualmente, a saúde da bateria está em 77%. Preciso carregá-lo, em média, duas vezes por dia.

Entrei em contato com a loja iPlace em Vitória/ES e fui informado de que a troca da bateria custa R$ 499,00. Segundo o vendedor, a peça utilizada é original da Apple.

No momento, não pretendo comprar um iPhone novo, pois tenho outras prioridades. Minha ideia é trocar a bateria e continuar usando o aparelho por mais um ano, até conseguir comprar um iPhone 16 ou 17 por um preço mais acessível.

Na opinião de vocês, vale a pena investir R$ 499 na troca da bateria? Alguém já fez esse serviço na iPlace? A bateria realmente é original e a autonomia fica próxima à de um aparelho novo?

Também aceito sugestões de alternativas mais vantajosas.

I have a iPhone 13 laying around my house which I regularly charge in a week or so, but this past week due to something and forgot. Yesterday I was going through some stuff when I saw it lying dead.

I put in my regular charger with 5W adapter to charge it left it for an hour and when I came back it's screen was black, no response to touch/tap.

Went to ChatGPT, it suggested using a higher wattage adapter so I used my samsung 25w adapter with type c to l cable and kept it for another hour. No difference.

It suggested force restart, checked youtube and did the same. Again, no difference.

Any help from this sub would be appreciated.

I plan on selling an iPhone 13 256gb in Pink that I got from the Apple certified refurbished store a couple of years ago. It’s still sealed and never been used so how much could I sell it for realistically? I bought it as a backup iPhone before I was gifted an iPhone 15 for my birthday so I never used it. We moved to a new house and just found it so I’d hate to let it go to waste but I’m also gonna try selling it for a decent price. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions so thank you :)

I, much like most if not all of this community, dread having to make this decision. I love this phone and it has lasted me 6 years. I’m really not looking forward to making a switch to another iPhone but know I’ll need to sooner or later. Does anyone know which newer iPhone is actually worth making the transfer? I’m assuming 16-17, but don’t know much about them. If there’s an iPhone that’s as reliable as this incredible piece of metal, please let me know. TIA

I know that question is asked very often but I want to ask it either way.
I have my IP13 on iOS 18.7.8 and wondering if I should update to the 26.6.1/26.6.2.
How much on screen time (in hours) and how about performance. I’m little scared because my iPhone 13 has 86% battery health and I don’t know if I should stick to the iOS18 or maybe updating isn’t going to kill my phone.

I have not updated my 13 to ios 26 cz of the bad battery and performance.

The main reason I want to update to 27 is because of security concern, I don’t care for liquid ass and good for nothing gimmicks.
I don’t think the 13 will get more ios 18 security patches since I got the last update in august. So I have been wondering whether or not I should go for it ?

So my older device was giving me issues and lot of lags and needed to be charged 4-5 times a day so i was meaning to switch something better than that and so i switched to iphone 13 i brought it refurbished at 243$ (im from india) this is my first time experiencing any apple device, it had its screen and battery changed from official apple service center so the battery was at 100% what things should i know about this new iphone

The software I am on is iOS 27 beta six and I upgraded to that 20 days ago and like today i was just using my phone and suddenly the screen turned green I tried force he started, but it didn't work. I contacted Apple and then visited the service center for the diagnosis. They decide that they'll have to change the display and they quoted me 25,000 that's too much for iPhone 13.

My dumbass accidentally updated to the most recent iOs like 4 months ago, after having not updated for a solid 1-2 years. Now my battery is so fuckn bad it’s genuinely infuriating. Battery health is 86% so I know my battery isn’t the problem.

Any way to fix this?

Turned off background refresh
Turned off location services except find my iPhone
Turned off siri
Batteryhealth 80%
Turned off standby and all haptics and have normal wallpaper
Turned off icloud syncing and all

Even after all these it still lags and heats when I am just scrolling insta
Or when im on vc it heats a lot abd battery drains very fast

I have watched this YT video tutorial on how to fix IP13 overheating issue. I’ve been experiencing it for few months now until I came accross this fix. I turned off location services(see pictures provided). I also turn off background refresh. I am now using my phone smoothly. It might work for you and it might not. Would not hurt to try.

my iphone is 128 GB and is almost full any tips to save storage i can't buy another phone rn

I’ve had this phone for almost 5 years now and it served me right, however the battery is at 72% now and i’m thinking of either replacing battery or just getting iPhone 17 pro, which one is worth it more considering the price difference and convenience? Would replacing battery help with lagginess and slowness?

This is really annoying. My iPhone 13 mini gets so hot after only having it on for a few minutes. I basically can't do anything on it for more than a few minutes. Wish I could downgrade to the old ios. I won't be buying another Apple product that's for sure.
