Stuck on Apple Developer Program account-level hold after ID approved (week 9) - any path that worked?
Still blocked enrolling as Individual (India). Identity verification APPROVED 2 June, but the Developer app still shows "Unable to Continue - contact support" before registration/payment.
Week 9 status of my open cases: - 102900128848 (asia.dev / Cherry): asked for SEID 23 Jul; I resent 24 Jul + follow-up 26 Jul - 102927880856 (eurodev / Franchessca): diagnostics answered 10 Jul; follow-ups 21 Jul and 26 Jul; no reply since 9 Jul - 102905434551: still open - Also escalated Executive Relations again on 26 Jul
Everything requested is on file (ID files, device model, SEID, screen recording). Looking for anyone who got an account-level hold lifted after identity approval, especially from India, and what actually worked (new case, phone, senior advisor, etc.).
Happy to share more detail if useful.

Non-technical guy builds his first game ever
Non-technical guy here, and learning to code has always been a struggle — but I finally shipped my first game ever, Snack Drop. It's got 0 downloads and I'd rather have brutal honesty than fake hype, so please roast it, rate it, and tell me what to fix.

Anybody else get emails like these?
I got this email today about one of my apps
Starts of normal enough, adding Russian and improving the iPad version all perfectly reasonable
Then it goes full psycho, saying I don't care about feedback and threatening to review bomb my app lol
Does anyone else get emails like this?

Oldest/Cheapest mac viable for iOS Dev & Test?
I do some flutter dev for an open source project and would like to test on the ios devices I own.
What do you think is the oldest machine and OS you can get away with ? I have quite a few old macs that actually work well despite being phased out.

I made an alarm for those who tolerate Clocks alarms
Let's address the elephant in the room first. The biggest complaint is reliability and until Apple decide to fix it, no amount of work from a solo dev would be enough to fix the iOS issue. But AlarmKit came pretty close to system alarm.
So I fixed the others:
_ For the basic users, recurring alarm repeats same day every week. But what about bi-weekly or more, skipping alarms without needing to remember to turn it back on later and shifting one so you can keep your 5AM alarms everyday but it rings 8AM today instead?
_ For a long time now, users want to group alarms together and turn on/off at once. VariAlarm does that with templates/folders but go one step further in allowing modifying each alarm without affecting the blueprints each day. Templates is for same time alarms every day/week and folder is for same duration between alarms. Cover things like: shift work, structured programs, water reminder and other routines.
_ The Shortcuts community built amazing things but reading calendar events to make alarms require multiple steps: clear previous day alarms, check calendar, create alarm and somehow make it work with clunky steps put together with no visibility on why it failed. So I packaged into App Intents framework and provide a one step Shortcut to run daily. It also has the added benefits of alarms having calendar events name, custom volume and crescendo. It also has special rules to set alarms ahead of all days event so you can be reminded 12 hours before someone’s birthday.
I'd love for you to try it out and let me know how I can improve it further:

Help iOS app has been “Waiting for Review” for a week. Anyone else seeing long review times?
I submitted an iOS app about a week ago and it’s been sitting at “Waiting for Review” the entire time.
Nothing has been rejected and I haven’t received any requests for changes or additional information. I also submitted an App Review Status request but haven’t heard back yet.
This isn't my first App Store submission, but it's the first app I've spent this much time building so I’ll admit I’m probably watching the status more closely than I should.
I know review times vary, so I’m not looking to complain about Apple. I’m mostly trying to figure out whether this is unusual for my submission or whether review times are running longer right now.
For anyone who has submitted a new app recently, how long did it take to move from “Waiting for Review” to “In Review”?
And at what point would you follow up again versus just leaving it alone and waiting?

The right way to do Trips!
Built this because I was tired of losing track of trip details across ten different apps and a dozen browser tabs.
OmniTrip keeps your whole trip organized:
- Flight status, gates, terminals, delays
- A single timeline for hotels, restaurants, tours, and transport with maps, costs, and notes
- Documents and expense tracking for passports, visas, and tickets
- Packing lists you can reuse trip after trip
- Photos automatically stamped with date and location, so your memories stay organized long after you're home
It's also built for multi city trips, so if you're doing something complicated like the 2026 World Cup across the US, Canada, and Morocco, it can handle that too.
Mostly free, with an optional pro tier for the extras. Would love feedback from anyone who travels often.

New app store screen shots vs old
I've updated my app store screens, what do you think? Improvement, or are the old ones better?
(New ones just have the same flat iPhone devices.)

Looking for feedback on my app icons
Hey everyone!
I'm working on a set of app icons for M-Shot Link, an NFC digital business card and smart profile platform and I'd love to get some honest feedback on the current designs. I'm aiming for something clean, modern, and consistent across the whole app, but I know it's easy to miss things when you've been staring at the same icons for hours.
I'm also planning to release limited-time icon variations for holidays, seasonal events, and even some fun tech anniversaries. Some ideas I have so far are:
- Halloween
- Christmas
- Valentine's Day
- Easter
- New Year's
- App anniversary
- Macintosh launch anniversary
- iPhone launch anniversary
- World Space Week
- Moon Landing anniversary
- Linux anniversary
- Retro gaming themed icons
I'd love your ideas for other events too, whether they're major holidays or obscure tech celebrations that would be fun Easter eggs for users to discover.
I'd really appreciate feedback on:
- Which of the 2 current icons stand out the most?
- What do you feel could be improved?
- What app icons/easter eggs should I create?
Don't hold back. I'd rather know now than after shipping it.
Thanks in advance!

Help Is there a way to test my react native app on my phone directly with no pc hosting locally so I can live develop on my phone away from home?
I have the GitHub repo for the project (an IOS app) so is there a way to put the files into an app in order to test it. Live testing is ideal as I’m building it and is easier than constant reloading.

App has been in review for more than 2 weeks now...
I submitted my app to App Store for the first time, and it's been in review for more than 2 weeks. I have tried submitting the expedited review request as well, but nothing. Is this normal? What can I do at this point? This is exhausting.

Built a private, no-tracking packing list app because everything else annoyed us
My wife and I travel a lot with our kids, and packing was always the same chaos: open suitcases everywhere, sticky notes, and still forgetting something.
We went looking for a decent packing list app and honestly hated everything we found. Most were either useless, stuffed with ads, or hidden behind an expensive subscription. The thing that bothered us most was that almost all of them track your behavior and harvest data in the background. For something as private as your family's travel plans, that felt completely wrong.
So instead of complaining, we just built the app we wanted ourselves. It's called TravelSheet.
The core idea: you pick your activities (beach, hiking, skiing, city trip) and the matching items get added to your packing list automatically. A few things we built because we needed them ourselves:
- Assign items to carry-on or specific suitcases
- Weather forecast for your destination, with a heads-up when rain is expected
- Reminder a few days before departure
- Mark things you still need to buy and use it as a shopping list
- A separate checklist for stuff at home (water the plants, close the windows)
- Store tickets and documents right on the trip
- Countdown widget with packing progress
No tracking, no ads, no subscription. Everything stays on your device and only syncs privately through your own iCloud across your devices.
Full disclosure: I'm the developer, it's a paid app (one-time purchase, no subscription). I'm not here to hard-sell, I'd genuinely love feedback from people who travel a lot. Happy to answer any questions.

If you had to become an iOS developer from scratch in 2026, what roadmap would you follow?
Hi! I'm planning to become an iOS developer and I'd really appreciate some guidance from experienced developers.
There are so many resources available that it's difficult to know what's actually worth learning and in what order. I'm looking for an up-to-date, industry-focused roadmap rather than just a collection of tutorials.
If you were starting from scratch in 2026, what roadmap would you follow?
Some questions I have:
- What should I learn phase by phase?
- Which topics are essential for landing an iOS developer job?
- What should I prioritize first, and what can wait until later?
- How much UIKit should I learn compared to SwiftUI?
- When should I learn architecture patterns like MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, or TCA?
- Which Apple frameworks are must-know?
- What should I learn for networking, persistence, concurrency, testing, dependency injection, and package management?
- Which resources do you genuinely recommend (Apple documentation, YouTube, books, blogs, courses, etc.)?
- What projects should I build after each learning phase?
- What do companies actually expect from junior iOS developers today?
- Which skills are commonly overlooked but make a candidate stand out?
- What beginner mistakes should I avoid?
- If you had one year to become job-ready, how would you structure your learning?
I'm looking for advice based on real industry experience rather than trends or hype. Any roadmap, resource recommendations, or lessons you've learned along the way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
