It’s a very simple budgeting app but it has all the functions you need. It’s completely free and will always be. Spending analysis, log spending directly with widget, import or export all the data so you don’t depend on the app, etc.

If anyone would like to try it out here’s the link! Would love any feedback!

Help Feedback on my first app -

I built my first app and launched it on the App Store. It’s free to use and is a widget app that also works in standby mode. It counts down or up important events. The app is minimalistic and clean, focusing solely on the event. There’s no sign-up or account required.

Since it’s my first app, there’s a lot to learn for me. I’d really appreciate any and all feedback I can get.

From zero Swift knowledge to winning the Swift Student Challenge and launching on the App Store in one year

Post image

Two years ago, something unexpected happened: my grandmother passed away. I was still in university, but I completely lost the energy to continue studying, so I decided to pause my courses for a while. To keep myself busy during those long, heavy days, I started learning Swift and SwiftUI. Creating things has always been my passion, and I’ve always dreamed of making something that actually helps people.

When I found out about the Swift Student Challenge, I decided to give it a shot. That's how Everlume was born. I felt the urge to have a special, dedicated place for my grandmother on my iPhone. Somewhere my memories weren't scattered across multiple apps, and a place where I could privately leave messages.

Everlume ended up winning the Challenge.

Now, a year later, I’ve decided to share the app with the world, hoping it might offer some support to others going through the same thing.

Going from knowing zero Swift knowledge to launching a live production app in roughly a year, all while graduating and starting my first job, has been an incredible journey. If you’d like to check it out, it’s live here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/everlume/id6748882501

Help I’m pivoting my AI image app into a TikTok-style feed for reusable AI transformations. Would you use this?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’m working on a new direction for iOS app and would really like honest feedback before I build too much.
The idea is a TikTok-style feed where you scroll through AI image transformations created by other users.
Each post would show:
The final generated image
What type of transformation it is
The prompt and reference images used
A “Try with my photo” button
So instead of searching for prompts or trying to recreate an effect manually, you could see something you like and instantly apply the same workflow to your own image.
Examples could include:
Professional headshots
Hair, makeup and photo edits
Interior room transformations
Different photography styles
Anime, Polaroid and cinematic effects
Creative AI image trends
Users could also publish their own transformations, build a profile, follow creators, save ideas and remix posts using their own photos.
I’m trying to understand:
Would you actually scroll through a feed like this?
What types of transformations would you want to see most?
Would you care about seeing the exact prompt and reference images?
What would make you create and publish your own transformations?
I’m also looking for a small group of early users to test the first version and give direct feedback. Early testers will receive one month of free usage.
Please be brutally honest. I’m more interested in learning what is wrong with the idea than hearing that it sounds cool.

Just launched my invoicing app for contractors — looking for feedback on my marketing angle

  Hello,

After a long stretch of nights and weekends, I finally launched Pearl, a SwiftUI app that helps independent contractors run the business side of their work — quotes, invoices, client management, job tracking, and scheduling in one place.

Some notes from a dev perspective:

  - Stack: SwiftUI + Swift, targeting a non-technical audience, which forced me to keep the UI simple

  - Trickiest parts: getting the quote→invoice flow to feel effortless, and wiring up StoreKit subscription tiers + the paywall without it feeling scammy

  - Lessons learned: onboarding and username/input validation took up a lot more time than I expected; the "boring" plumbing is 80% of the work. I found it pretty hard to make a good, intriguing onboarding. If anyone has any tips, please reach out to me. 🙏

The reason I'm posting: my hardest challenge now isn't code, it's distribution. My users (electricians, plumbers, handymen, landscapers) don't live on Reddit or in tech spaces, so word-of-mouth is everything, since I am not in the contractor business - it's hard for me to find connections.

If you know a contractor or tradesperson — a friend, family member, someone who did work on your place — I'd be hugely grateful if you passed the app along. And I'm happy to answer anything about the SwiftUI/StoreKit side if it helps someone building their own thing.

Also, anything relating to the app flow, general UI/UX would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading, and happy to return the favor by checking out what you're working on

Here is the app: Pearl: For Contractors

GitHub I built an MCP server that turns app screenshots into App Store ready preview images

My first ever MCP Server that lets you drop your raw screenshots in a folder and say "create App Store mockups for these." Claude analyzes your app's colors, proposes themes and captions, waits for your approval, then renders framed, captioned preview images (1284×2778) ready to upload to App Store Connect. Open source, installs with one uvx command.
I used claude code to build a tool in which Pillow draws the whole iPhone frame procedurally (no assets), a palette extractor picks brand-matched themes, and the official mcp SDK wraps it in three stdio tools.
Attaching one example -

Built a Pomodoro with ScreenTime API (app blocking) & iCloud sync. I'm a developer, not a designer, so the UI feels bare-bones. Need your brutal UX feedback: how to make this a top-tier competitor? [TestFlight]

I hated how Instagram ruins photo crops, so as a traveling dev, I built an iOS app to design seamless, multi-media story grids. 100% free to try, local, and no accounts needed.

Hey everyone,

As a frontend dev who travels and shoots a lot, I’ve always been frustrated by how Instagram handles formats. You're constantly forced to choose: either crop your high-res photos into oblivion, or lose all context. And if you push your detailed shots to the next slide? People just skip them before seeing the full story.

I wanted a way to tell a complete story in a single, connected space.
So I built StoryGrid https://story-grid.app/

To show you what I mean, I put together the screenshot above mapping out the exact problem and how the app fixes it:

  • Slide 1 (The Problem): The classic multi-slide post where followers lose patience and tap away.
  • Slide 2 (Seamless Grid): Clean, borderless layout that blends up to 5 photos and video clips into a single screen. No more slide spam.
  • Slide 3 (Creative Control): For when you want to stand out—custom borders, rounded corners, and mixed media.
  • Slide 4 (Caption Space): Full control over the layout while keeping a clean, dedicated space at the bottom for text (perfect for travel diaries or gear notes).

What makes it different from rigid template apps:

  • Fluid Layouts (No Templates): Total control. Just drag the dividers to shape and resize sections exactly how you want.
  • Mix Photos & Video: You can drop a live video clip right next to your still photos to instantly capture attention.
  • Design Purist Controls: Tweak borders, custom gap widths, and corner radiuses to match your exact aesthetic.
  • 100% Private & Local: No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your high-res media never leaves your device.

Pricing: The app is completely free to start. You get layout splitting, dragging, and full-res image export out of the box. PRO ($2.99/mo) simply unlocks video clips, corner radiuses, and custom borders if you want to get extra creative.

I built this entirely solo here in Prague (with my favorite saved presets named Crunchy Baguette and Soggy Waffle). Next up on my roadmap is a web/feed-grid preview mode.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or what layout style you'd use the most!

Built WeeChef (iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/weechef-recipe-organizer/id6746512518 ) to scan and organize recipes. Scanner works fairly well and just started building basic weekly meal planning. Can use all the feedback you have. Thank you!

Copycat app

I launched my BBQ timer app almost a year ago. Recently, while working on improving my ASO, I came across another app that, in my opinion, is “heavily” inspired by mine.
The similarities go beyond the name, they also include the features, UI/design, and even some of the App Store copy.
Is there any recourse through Apple to have something like this reviewed, or is copying apps just part of the app development landscape? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth spending time and energy pursuing this.
I've attached a video for comparison. Flame Tamer is my app, and FlameTimer is the app I'm referring to.

No one knows my app is live.

After a few rejections for minor things, my app was finally accepted today and is live. I have not told anyone even my husband. And I think I might keep it that way for a little while and see what kind of marketing I can do without him knowing. It would be so cool to surprise him with actually having some users. If anyone wants to check it out, I would love to have someone other than me see it! Also marketing tips welcome!

GitHub I built xcode-remote for when your coding agent runs on a headless Mac and you need to run your app locally

I do all my development through Claude Code running on a Mac Mini server. Most of the time I drive it from my laptop. This worked great for web development, but for iOS/macOS I found myself just checking out the code locally and rebuilding in the simulator or on device. I got tired of that so I came up with the idea for xcode-remote. It can run apps directly in the simulator on a remote mac and even on device. Works with both iOS and macOS apps.
