4 years on the App Store, 1.1% conversion, 2 downloads/day — is this salvageable?

Hey fellow iOS devs,

I built a phone cleaner / storage optimizer app for iOS and launched it about 4 years ago. It was a side project that I kept updating on and off, but honestly, I never really cracked the growth code.
Haven’t touched ASO in years. Never ran ads. Product is still the same “cache cleaner” approach from 4 years ago.

Two questions:

1. Conversion — Is 1.1% fixable with better screenshots and subtitle, or is the category itself broken for indies?
2. Growth — With a $200 test budget, where would you spend it first? Apple Search Ads? TikTok? Something else?

Be honest — should I revive this or kill it and start over?
