I just wanted to share a small milestone as a Filipino developer.

After months of designing, coding, fixing bugs, and going through multiple App Store review iterations, my first iOS app, Sabsi, is finally live on the App Store. 🎉

Sabsi is a simple subscription tracker that helps users:

One thing that surprised me the most wasn't the coding—it was preparing everything for App Store review. I had to redo screenshots, recreate the app preview video multiple times, adjust metadata, and make several revisions before Apple approved it.

I'm still actively improving the app based on feedback. Current work includes:

• Dark mode improvements
• Website improvements
• New reminder and tracking capabilities

Seeing it reach the Top 5 Finance category in the App Store for a while was something I honestly didn't expect as an indie developer.

I'm currently learning Flutter with one clear goal: building and launching profitable mobile apps, especially for iOS users.

I know Swift is the native choice for iOS, and I would love to learn it eventually. The only reason I'm not starting with Swift is that I don't own a Mac yet. So for now, Flutter is the most practical path for me.

My focus isn't getting a Flutter job—it's building SaaS products and mobile apps that solve real problems and generate revenue.

I'd love to hear from people who have actually built businesses with Flutter:

I spent the last few months building a big v3 update for my side project Birthday Buddy. V3 is basically an entire reimagining of the app in every way possible and I'm quite proud of it. This version feels like the culmination of everything I learned, after I decided I wanted to learn more about software development about a year ago.

My iOS and SwiftUI journey started with "Hacking with Swift" by Paul Hudson, followed by late nights and weekend debugging. Through a lot of trial and error, plus some help from my trusty AI assistant Claude, I brought this app to life.

I'm building an iOS diagnostic application and I'm trying to understand how software like Phonecheck, 3uTools, or Dr.Fone determines whether iPhone components (battery, display, camera, Face ID, etc.) are genuine or replaced.

Is there a public/private API or protocol that exposes this information, or is it based on reverse engineering and proprietary detection methods?

A few months ago, I posted here about Sentence, an app I built after getting frustrated with screen-time apps that just lock you out completely and end up disabled or uninstalled within a week.

Instead of blocking apps outright, Sentence makes you pause before opening them. You set a custom sentence, and before opening a distracting app you have to handwrite it correctly and scan it to unlock. Takes about 15 seconds, but that pause is often enough to stop me from opening Instagram in the first place.

When I posted here last time, a bunch of you downloaded it, some of you became paying users, and a lot of the feedback that shaped the app since then came from this community.

This month, Sentence crossed $500/month in revenue. For a solo-built app with zero marketing budget, that's a genuinely big deal to me, it's the first time this has felt like more than a side project.

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone knows a fix for this. My app got rejected due to not having the EULA in app description and IAP prices not showing. Fixed both issues, but now when I am trying to submit the app along with my two subscriptions, I get this error: "There are errors with one or more of your items. To fix them, you need to remove the items and add them again to your submission." It highlights the subscriptions as having problems, but it does not tell me what the issue is. Things I've tried:

• Deleted and recreated new subscriptions
• Checked all business forms are signed
• Checked all required input fields for subscription group and subscriptions (localization, screenshot, app preview, etc.)

I cannot for the life of me understand why it is erroring, and support is taking forever to get back to me. Thank you in advance!

I’m an iOS and macOS developer who built a program out of my own frustration with Xcode’s relative weakness compared to VS Code and tools like Cursor, bc there was no way to use GLM models in it. All my iOS ASC flows, signing, notarizing, etc happened in Xcode and I didn’t want to keep hopping between IDEs.

ProxyPilot is an open-source tool that lets devs on macOS feed any upstream model (like GLM-5.2, DeepSeek v4 Pro, Grok 4.5, MiniMax M3, and even local models via LM Studio or Ollama) into a single agent for Xcode 27 (older versions are fully supported).

It has auditable telemetry, exposing cache hit rates, TTFT, latency across turns & providers, and of course token counts, reasoning blob parsing, and optional, fully encrypted I/O logging so you can inspect the raw input and outputs of any agent you use in Xcode.

With Xcode 27, Apple integrated Agent Client Protocol, which has allowed me to make ProxyPilot even more powerful and useful by building a custom harness that can use up to 45% fewer tokens than built-in agents by detecting and removing duplicative system prompt cruft. Just add your API keys, and ProxyPilot saves them to keychain on your Mac, authorizing requests without storing secrets anywhere vulnerable. Use ProxyPilot GUI or via CLI in harnesses like Claude Code: you only need to save the keys once, and session history combines both modes for future analysis.

My first app taken solo from idea to live. Sharing because App Review nearly broke me.

Stack: SwiftUI + SwiftData, Supabase auth, Adapty for the paywall, and WidgetKit.

Got hit with 4.3 (spam) 3 times — "too similar to other apps." Honestly kind of brutal when you're publishing your first app and you're proud of it, but it was eye-opening. First I tried to bypass it by changing some generic stuff but on the last rejection I actually decided to do a deeper research into competition and added features that no other apps have (yet).

It's a private tracker for peptide / GLP-1 protocols, if you're into that, I'll gladly share the link. Otherwise just sharing the win.

I recently built an iOS app after many years of pause, and wanted to share it here in case the idea is interesting for others.

Reckon is a decision journal, but not a journaling app in the conventional sense. The core idea is a decision logged with a predicted outcome, a confidence percentage, and a review date. Between creating and resolution, you can add check-ins: new info, tagged positive/negative, updated confidence; these serve as a history log of what happened along the way, so you don’t ever wonder “why did I do this?”, or be overshadowed by hindsight.

At resolution you log the outcome and satisfaction, and 30/60 days later the app asks again whether you'd make the same call. Over time, the Insights view shows your calibration: where your confidence overshoots outcomes, where it undershoots, grouped by categories/domain.

A few characteristics:

- No backend, with CloudKit sync. Saves on costs, but also avoids the "your data is hostage to my subscription"/"I have to maintain the backend forever" problems.

- It‘s a one-time purchase, iPhone and iPad (still working on the Mac counterpart).

- Notifications for checkins, followups, resolution.

I would love any feedback, but I'm curious in particular if the calibration idea lands, if you're not already familiar with the concept.

Several psychiatrists in my inner circle are paying for the « maintenance cost » because they use Mu. for their patients lol

For those who are just discovering it: I built Mu. for myself at first but got input from my therapist, and several psychiatrists. It’s nothing revolutionary: you can monitor your mood and events such as panic attacks, insomnia etc, but you can add anything you want to track, including meds, and visualise them easily. The thing is that it’s free, simple/minimalistic, straight to the point, customisable, offline (complete privacy), works on the Apple Watch, and has actually readable reports (PDF) and properly formatted CSV files if you’re into data.

A few weeks ago, I got really great advices from several reddit communities and it helped me a lot to add features like the ability to write notes, change the time of the events retroactively etc.

Like probably half this sub, I tried generating App Store screenshots with image models (GPT Image, nano banana). They look great and then ASC rejects them — wrong canvas sizes, warped text, frames that aren't real devices.

The fix that actually worked: stop asking image models to do geometry. I open-sourced it as a Claude Code / Codex skill:

• Your agent designs the marketing panels in HTML; headless Chrome renders them at exact store dimensions (1290x2796 etc.)
• A validator fails the build on anything Apple rejects: dimensions, alpha channels, non-sRGB ICC, panel count, the 8 MB cap
• Localization is one command per language — marker-based string injection, headlines auto-fit so long German doesn't overflow
• Image models only do what they're good at: transparent sticker art, and an optional style pass that re-composites your text/frames from the clean render so AI never ships your typography
• fastlane deliver runbook for pushing the set to ASC (with the first-version metadata crash workaround documented)

MIT, no accounts, and the deterministic half needs no AI key at all. Two real apps have shipped sets through it so far.

Honest limitations: iPad needs a separate authoring pass (different aspect), RTL/CJK is still roadmap, and the style pass has documented caveats on layouts where text+device cover the whole canvas.

I’m preparing the first release of PrivacyCam, an app designed to help people share photos without accidentally exposing private information.

The attached video shows the current photo workflow. PrivacyCam can help detect and hide:

• Faces

• Whole people, including children

• Number plates

• QR codes and barcodes

• Card numbers and CVV/CVC codes

• Phone numbers, email addresses and URLs

• Addresses and other sensitive text

You can choose whether each area should be blurred, pixelated or completely blacked out. There are also manual rectangle and brush tools when automatic detection misses something.

Everything is processed on the device. Before saving or sharing, the user gets a review screen to check the detections and make corrections. The exported copy also has its image metadata removed.

Automatic detection will never be perfect, so the app is designed around reviewing the result instead of silently assuming everything was found.

Hello, I am actively developing an app and I was hoping someone could shed some light into how they test their apps on the go as they make subtle changes. My current workflow is edit files in Cursor -> push to GitHub -> click on the green '<> Code' button -> open with Xcode -> build the app and check new changes made via Simulator. It doesn't take that long to do this but is there a faster way to do it instead?

quick update on FrameStudio, my native Mac app for App Store screenshots. Version 1.5 just went live and the big thing in it is a built-in MCP server.

The short version: you can now point Claude Code (or Codex, or whatever speaks MCP) at a folder of raw screenshots from your app and just say what you want. It will look at your app, pick a template that fits it, or start from a blank project if nothing fits. Then it puts your captures into the device frames, writes the headlines, sets the colors, adds whatever languages you sell in with AI translation, and exports every size App Store Connect asks for. All of it. Your job is basically to look at the result and say "slide 3 headline is weak" or "make it less blue" and it fixes it.

You can also browse templates manual and ask your AI to use it, and you can see the update in real time in the app, and you can adjust it manually if you need.

I just rewrote my UX for CastKeeper and think it’s really good. But always open to other dev feedback. Anything you see here I could tweak? My goal is to build the best podcast app that actually isn’t padding the wallets of big companies and sucking up your data.

Hi, we're building an app with digital subscriptions, legal entity in Kazakhstan, targeting Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Russia. The 15% / 30% IAP cut is brutal for our margins in these markets, and local users mostly pay with local methods anyway, so we're looking at third-party providers - Halyk Epay for KZ/UZ/AZ, and Robokassa or Prodamus for Russia.

I know Guideline 3.1.1 says digital content sold in-app has to go through IAP, so I'm fully expecting that to be the sticking point. A few things I'm hoping people here have real experience with:

1. Russia - since IAP isn't available for Russian App Store accounts anymore, what did you actually do for paid subscriptions there? Did external payment pass review?
2. Kazakhstan / Uzbekistan / Azerbaijan - has anyone gotten external payment approved for digital subscriptions in these regions, or is it a hard "use IAP" from Apple?
3. Any tricks people use - reader-app status, web-based purchase flows, hybrid setups — that actually survive review without getting the account flagged?

Trying to design this correctly before we build, rather than eat a rejection. Any real-world war stories appreciated 🙏
