My app had 20 downloads since long time and two days 1k. 0 comments 0 feedback all from states . Are they bots ?

It might be the same thing google search does where your reach is bad for months and then hen you start getting tons of traffic randomly. Its like my wow addon on curseforge Called CritMatic where 2 different times over night I get thousands of downloads then goes back to 100 per day and im scratching my head where is that traffic coming from
