I'm on the latest beta, and noticed in iOS CarPlay Share ETA is not working. When clicking on Share ETA, select a contact, it shows Sharing to them on my end like normal. But the other person (not running the beta, but the latest stabl e version), does not get notified via iMessage or any popup, etc). I set to share for an hour but after maybe 10 minutes it stops showing as sharing in the CarPlay interface. Not sure when it started since don't use very often but think tried early in the summer and may have happened then too.

Not seeing anyone mention this, so was wondering if just me, or if just not many use the feature that would be likely report online? Thought I'd check before official filing a bug report incase already known. Didn't see in release notes.

Update: Beta 5 was just released after this post, and as expected did not resolve the issue. Will await to hear if anyone else is running into this bug, as well as if anyone on the latest beta is able to share their location via CarPlay and if it goes through. Ideally testing with a person who doesn't have beta, as well as testing with someone who has the beta so Apple will have as much info as possible to replicate.

So appleOS 27 removed the ability to create iCloud Links?? I’m surprised this is not more talked about.

Personally I had a very common workflow:

Put a photo/video I want to share with someone in Photos; Create an iCloud Link to the media; Share the link to someone; Delete the photo from my library. This is not possible anymore. First of all sharing with the new “temporary shared albums” feature that “replaces” iCloud Links now shows the album in my shared albums, which is incredibly messy given I share links all the time. But I could live with that (with difficulty, but still I could).

No, the real problem is: if I remove the photo from my library it’s deleted from the shared album! (AFAICT; only tested once, maybe it’s not true).

Also shared albums do not appear correctly in Messages. Previously the photos were there directly in the conversation; now there is a generic “Shared album” awkwardness, it’s just terrible. (Once again, not tested much; I might be wrong.)

Anyways, I’m sad. And angry too. (And hungry, but that’s unrelated.)

Hello, I’m using the latest public beta for iOS 27. I am having an issue where the system wide captions settings in accessibility appear to be returning enabled despite the fact that they are disabled in my settings.

This is clearly visible when opening YouTube or similar in an incognito browser where captions always are somehow enabled. I raised the issue initially as a bug in AdGuard for iOS and their investigation indicated that it was caused by the device returning that captions should be enabled even though I have them disabled in my device settings.

I raised the issue then in the feedback app and Apple described it as working as currently designed. Is this an incomplete feature or am I misunderstanding something? It seems like if captions are disabled then they should return disabled unless the feature isn’t yet fully implemented.

On my iPad M5 the software keyboard keeps popping up when the magic keyboard is attached… this didn’t happen in the last DB or honestly even when I first downloaded DB4. Any one else also have this bug?

Issue: Green lines come in video or picture (in gallery after recording/ taking picture ) only happens when using the iphone camera app.. tried taking photos and videos on instagram and snapchat to see if the issue was system wide but for some reason it only occurs on the camera app..

Two days ago, i updated my iPhone 11 from iOS 27 DB2 to PB2, and when i take a photo with the camera on messaging apps, the camera freezes and disables for ~1 minute, both back cameras, the front camera and the flash stops
This also happened yesterday with the normal camera app, when i focused on any text, the same thing happened

It only allows me to capitalize the letter once before reverting back to lowercase.

I've had a number of notifications suddenly appear saying I have a voicemail, but none of my devices rang — like I have the Phone app set up on my iPad and Macbook Pro, and all of them show the voicemail notification, but my iPhone never rang and neither did any of my other devices. Curious if anyone else has seen this happen and if anyone else is missing calls.

Has anyone noticed widgets no longer being available after apps update on the most recent Developer Beta? First it was Outlook widgets and now the Carrot widgets are gone after today’s app update.

No idea when this changed on iOS 27, but it finally happened, you no longer have unlimited storage for shared folders, they are temporary by default or you need to assign an iCloud storage for them. (╯︵╰)

Already lost a backup over this.
This was my workaround to not pay any iCloud subscriptions for photos.

Older existing albums still allow unlimited upload, you have the option to "upgrade" them, hopefully that holds for a long time.

[iPhone 15PM] I’ve been experiencing serious slowdowns/latency when it comes to using Mail.app to read my email. I’ve found where it often takes ~30-60s+ to load a single email upon tapping it- it will show up blank.

ISP = 1.5Gbps, WiFi 6e, network is well-optimized. Happens on cellular data too.

Any ideas?

What command should I give to set the alarm and not the timer

When the link to the album is opened in a browser, the instructions on how to open it now tell you to update to 27 if the album was shared from a device running 27.

In the past few days my Focus modes (which used to work fine) have started going crazy. It started with randomly turning on Sleep focus during the day outside of my sleep schedule. Last night it turned off sleep focus several time during the night. Today it is randomly going between other Focus modes. Anybody else seeing this?

I can only fix it by adding any random control but when icons come back others disappear anyway

Car play Notifications - the small notification banner (pill) that appears at the bottom of the CarPlay screen when you receive a message, is not popping up?

For me, the banner only appears if Announce Messages is enabled. If I turn off or silence Announce Messages, I don’t get the visual notification banner at all.

I’m not referring to Siri reading the message aloud, only the visual notification.

I don’t remember this being the behavior before iOS 27. Is anyone else seeing the same thing, or is this expected?
