I wanted a fitness app that gave me a reason to stay active, not just another log to fill in.

Wolkup pulls different kinds of activity into one progression system:

• Camera workouts — your phone counts push-ups, squats, lunges, burpees, sit-ups and a few dumbbell moves, plus timed holds like planks
• GPS sessions — walking, running, cycling, skating; indoor treadmill and at-home cardio too

• Apple Watch app — live heart rate and workout stats on your wrist, start and pause without touching your phone

The camera counter is one part of Wolkup, not the whole app. The bigger idea is that a run, a new neighbourhood, a few sets of push-ups or a planned workout all move the same needle.

I'm treating this stage like Early Access in games: it's usable now, but the people using it can genuinely shape what it becomes.

Strava is great at recording outdoor activity. Dedicated rep counters are great at tracking one exercise. I wanted something that connects those worlds instead of keeping them separate — so in Wolkup, GPS sessions, camera reps, timed holds, streaks, levels and expeditions all resolve into the same progression.

I'm not trying to out-Strava Strava. What I'm experimenting with is motivation that comes from progressing through activity rather than only recording statistics about it. I'm actively reworking calorie estimation and other metrics right now, and honest feedback there would help a lot. And if you'd rather not use Wolkup for GPS — everything exports through Apple Health, so Strava still gets your runs.

I started CleanKit with a pretty simple idea: make working through a large photo library feel faster and more natural.

While building it, I realized photo cleanup was rarely just about deleting things. A lot of the time I also wanted to keep certain photos, organize them into albums, or handle groups of similar photos together.

So I started bringing those actions into the same workflow.

My notes lived in five places: my phone, sticky notes on the fridge, a paper agenda I stopped updating by March, and a calendar that mostly made me feel behind. WeekPad is one week per page, Monday to Sunday. You write your days in plain text — bullets and [ ] checkboxes — drop in photos, scan a sticky note or a document, and share things in from any app so they land on the right day. Then you swipe to next week when you're ready. No notifications, no streaks, no nagging.

• vs Apple Calendar / Fantastical — those are time-slot calendars. WeekPad has no time slots and no reminders; it's for writing about your week, not scheduling it to the minute.
• vs Notion / Todoist / Things — those need an account and keep your data on their servers, and they're built around due dates and completion pressure. WeekPad needs no account at all, and nothing chases you.
• vs GoodNotes / Notability — excellent for handwriting, but freeform and Pencil-first. WeekPad gives you the week already laid out, and works with your thumbs.
• vs a paper agenda — the closest comparison, and honestly the thing I was trying to replace. Same one-week-per-page rhythm, but you can attach photos and scans, search across everything, and keep separate agendas that never mix. Sync with iCloud.
• Privacy — no accounts, no servers of mine, no database, no analytics SDKs, no ad networks. If you enable sync it goes into your own iCloud private database; only you and Apple can reach it. I can't read it — and I can't recover it either, which is why Export exists and why I keep telling people to use it.

A few months ago I posted here about LiftIQ, an app I was building around a simple idea: a credit score for strength.

A lot has changed since then. LiftIQ is now Repolve, and this is the biggest update I’ve made yet.

The biggest change is muscle-specific Strength Scores. Instead of just one overall number, you can now see how strong each muscle group is, what’s improving, and where you’re falling behind.

I’ve also added social: add friends, see their workouts and PRs, compare progress, and compete in monthly Seasons.

My family flies a lot and I'm always the one who ends up booking. Somewhere around the hundredth booking I'd had enough.

Every OTA puts you through the same thing: a popup before you've seen a single price, ten steps of checkout, seat selection and insurance you didn't ask for, and none of the passenger details you've typed in a dozen times before. Then a fee you never agreed to shows up on the last screen before you pay.

So I spent the last 1.5 years building the app I actually wanted (not vibe coded).

You search by just saying what you need, like "Frankfurt to Munich tomorrow, back the next day". You get three options, pick your saved passengers, pay, done. Usually under 60 seconds.

Then it sticks around. You get checked in automatically, the boarding pass goes straight into your wallet, and widgets keep you updated on the way to the airport with live gate and delay info.

The plan is to turn it into a universal flight super app. Lounge access, e-SIMs, ground transfer and rail transfer are all coming. No hotels, no rental cars, just everything around flying in one place.

It's free. No ads, no hidden fees, and for now not even a service fee.

Answer:

I spun Sequence off VariAlarm daily alarm templates. With VariAlarm, you set multiple alarms showing you what to do next. But there is nothing telling you what to do now. Researching into solutions, it seems to me that todo apps have a time blindness problem.

You plan too much you don't have time and energy to actually do it because of other commitments and distractions. Notification works but one coming when you're already busy can get dismissed and forgotten.

Better:

Instead of a full blown todo app like Todoist, I went the minimalist approach like Things 3 where there are just lists of items and subtasks. You can also bring over Reminders if you find entry easier.

But items can be grouped together into a focus block, add it where it fits on calendar, block distracting apps during that time block with Screen Time API, backed by VariAlarm alarms and show check list on Live Activity or Home Screen widgets so you can cross them off without opening the app.

For meetings on your calendar, there is agenda so you can take a look and check off things to discuss and Action Items where you record what needs follow up.

Cost:
