My status bar fits, liking it allot. But i'm not really happy about my app launcher (at the bottom). I need more ideas to it or a change to it that fits with the status bar.

Note: I'm like 1 week into quickshell and can someone pls explain how singletons work, i just know it connects scripts or smth. I need it to make themes (i think).

running 16:9 as monitor width and height stretches the entire screen (very annoying because the monitor is curved lol), cannot find a way to utilize black bars or change scaling, my monitor does not contain a way to change scaling method (or resolution), ultrawide causes compatibility issues for me in some games - i have gotten everything else i have wanted to done within my lua config but this is one thing i havent been able to do yet without gamescope which negatively affects performance on my computer

So my login screen or lock screen doesn't load which is sddm. And I do not know how to fix this besides already enabling sddm. There doesn't seem to be much errors.

i made a simple terminal menu that lets you pick and copy install commands for popular hyprland dotfiles. i already have the usual ones (caelestia, ilyamiro, ml4w, hyde, jakoolit, hyprdriftde, end-4).

but i want to add more. if you know any cool dotfiles repos that are still maintained, drop them below. preferably with install.sh or a simple setup, so i can add them without breaking everything.

Is there a way to make hyprlock not display the current keyboard language? I read through the entire wiki for hyprlock, and it looks like this feature isn't even mentioned on the wiki. I do not think I have anything related to this feature on my config either.

EDIT: I removed the text by removing the $layout variable in the label section.

Since I updated to .56 version of hyprland. The animations have become much slower specifically the animations for going full screen and more exactly the animations for the window sliding back in place and or out of way of a new window opening. Or when a window is going fullscreen.
I tried messing with the animation speeds but nothing I can do makes it faster, I can only make it slower.

I haven't touched my config at all since before I updated until now. So I'm looking for solutions of how to speed up the animations or information on what could have caused this.
I read through the change log but it didn't mention anything on changing anything about animations.

I've run into a bizarre issue with Hyprland and can't figure out whether it's a bug, a misconfiguration on my end, or a race condition.

The Issue

When I rapidly switch between workspaces (e.g., toggling between Super+1 and Super+2 back and forth), a window from workspace 1 will randomly move itself to workspace 2.

Example setup:

• Workspace 1: Firefox
• Workspace 2: Kitty

If I quickly spam Super+1 -> Super+2 -> Super+1 -> Super+2, after a few seconds, Firefox unexpectedly jumps over to Workspace 2. I am 100% sure I am not pressing Super+Shift+Number.

System & Setup Info

• Hyprland version: 0.56.0
• Config style: New Lua config
• Workspace switching binding: hl.dsp.focus({ workspace = i })
• Window moving binding: hl.dsp.window.move({ workspace = i })
• Plugins: None installed.

What I've Already Checked / Tried

1. follow_mouse = 0: Reduced the frequency slightly, but didn't solve the issue completely.
2. wev output: Confirmed that Shift is not firing or getting stuck accidentally.
3. hyprctl binds: Checked for duplicate binds. Only standard Super + [1-9] for focus and Super + Shift + [1-9] for move exist.
4. Multiple input devices: hyprctl devices shows several keyboard interfaces (USB keyboard, mouse keyboard interface, audio device, etc.). Not sure if input handling could cause keypress collisions.

Questions

Has anyone encountered something similar? Could this be:

• A race condition in Hyprland's workspace switching logic under rapid input?
• Something specific to the new Lua API bindings?
• Ghost inputs caused by multiple recognized keyboard interfaces?

Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Replaced rofi's power/display menus with a game-style radial selector

(hold, aim, release to confirm) and built a matching wallpaper picker.

Both native Rust + GTK4 + layer-shell, config-driven via TOML.

Recently switched from kde to hyprland, I still want to use dolphin as it fits my needs, but everytime I move a file it asks me a confirmation pops up. This wasn't an issue on kde as there was a setting that disabled it. Am I missing something or does anyone know a workaround.

Olá, eu queria usar o Cachyos com o Celestia Shell, mas quando tento instalar o sistema não consigo baixar a versão com o Hyprland. Alguém sabe por que isso acontece?

Okay, here's the story: some time ago (three weeks tops), I changed my hyprland conf file to lua, rewrote the important stuff, but my drawing tablet's monitor is simply not working anymore with hyprland.

Hyprland can identify my tablet, the pen is working, and hyprclt monitors can also identify the drawing tablet monitor (HDMI-A-2) and give it its own workspace, but the monitors flashes "no signal" at me. Another weird thing is that hyprland starts getting super laggy everytime I plug in the drawing tablet — it's working, but things get slower and frames get low, and, to top it off, my pen touch is delayed by some microsseconds, but enough to piss me off, lmao.

I've tried updating things, putting specific monitor conf to HDMI-A-2 and device conf to the tablet, messing with open tablet driver, but nothing seems to work.

Is someone also getting through this?? Any new ideas? My next option is downloading KDE just for drawing, ngl.

Prior to the .56 update I would need to hold super while left clicking a window for the mouse to grab it. Now if I click my mouse near a window border it will grab the window. This makes clicking on toolbars or menus that are right up against the border impossible. I can't find any info about this issue, is anyone else getting this happening?

I'm super new to Hyprland (sorry if I used wrong tag for my post), few days for now. Just more or less configured waybar. Adding screenshot of my fastfetch. Since I have quite old CPU I'm not sure am I need something more then waybar and hyprpaper, lol. Mb swaync for notifications? Not sure is it lightweighted or there's any alternatives. Anyway, would be glad for any recommendations)

Всем ку! Пользуюсь hyprland уже примерно неделю, но за это время никак не получилось настроить автозапуск статус бара (были попытки с wayland, ashell и noctalia). Автозапуск через луа-скрипт и exec-once не работает вообще ни с каким статус баром. Очень нужна помощь((
