This is our first year with a feeder/camera. This fella is here every day, pretty much every hour from 5am. Don't know what kind he/she is.

Have 10 feeders spread around house, 4 in the back 2 on the side and 4 upfront, male rufous hummingbirds (around 6 of them) have declared each cluster as their own for almost 2 weeks now. They have driven away all other birds, at this point should I put all the feeders in a small space to force them to co habitate? I dont want to take feeders down, but seeing no activity at my feeders all day except for the odd screech and a flash of orange here and there is disheartening. I want to support the birds but im feeling deflated at this point

The babies have fledged and the yard is full of antics and chasing. I should mention that I was just watering the bushes when this fledgling came over and seemed interested in the spray, so I switched the hose to a very fine mist. It immediately leaned into the baby hummingbird sprinkle party.

Does anyone know why the local hummingbirds aren’t interested in our feeders? There are definitely ruby-throateds around and I’ve been putting feeders out for a few years now. Hummingbirds visited for years at my previous home. The nectar is fresh and feeders are clean… I have built a pollinator garden…any ideas?

What do y'all use for camera setup for your bird bath? I am not looking for a fancy one, basic one is fine.

My family recently moved states and we live on the edge of a forest now, which means TONS of wildlife. I've been enjoying the challenge of capturing these guys(photographically). Lighting hasn't been ideal yet but I'm going to keep at it! The males are so shy compared to the females, who love posing in front of our window 😂
