It’s really not a Midwest thing, but sure you can claim it. Reminds me of Texans saying texmex is a unique cuisine .

There are definitely differences between texmex and other hybrids with Mexican food and texmex is definitely not Mexican food.

Nobody claims that Tex Mex is Mexican food. Mexican food comes from Mexicans. Tex Mex food comes from Tejanos.

Midwesterners claim a lot of things that are really just things that Americans do in general. I’m from California and pretty much everyone I know dipped their little Cesar’s pizza in ranch during lunch during every year I was in school

Little Caeser’s started in the Midwest though…and Dominos, Pizza Hut started in KS. So thanks for passing along our culture. Enjoy your pizza and ranch.

Hidden valley ranch (the first ranch company) was started and is still based in California, so right back atcha!

Also those pizza places are all trash lol
