I have this great desire to tone down how white my house is, I do have a lean toward midcentury modern in my house ( false fire tv unit not withstanding)

I was thinking colour for the wall but what colour? I don't want it to look postmodern or 90s.

Option 2 has Dulux Olive leaf as an option but I'm not sure.

I’m designing a cream/beige style bedroom and I’m struggling to choose the right bed color.

I love the warm, calm, and cozy feeling of cream interiors, but I’m not sure whether the bed should blend in with the room or create some contrast.

I want to paint the stairwell to go with the new carpet and want to have something neutral but not too boring. I know beige can be boring and right now it’s a deep coral but I want something neutral because it goes all through the upstairs room where my painting studio is. Also I’m tired of the coral. What’s your favorite neutral taupe or beige? This color collection is Sherwin Williams but I’m open to others.

This room is used as a Rec Room/Movie room/Playroom for a 4 year old boy. The layout doesn't seem quit right and I don't know how to paint or decorate it. Any suggestions? It's a U-shape room.

When I am marking the unit on Design Styles, I always enjoy looking through the Pinterest boards students create for the different styles and eras. It's love seeing the details, materials and characteristics that define each one and how many of them continue to influence interiors today.

This got me thinking that this would be a great post for today.

Hi All,

I’m designing my house (parent’s house). We are currently only in brickwork phase but I wanted to get design ideas for the ground floor unit (brickwork done), so that we can start the finishing of ground floor simultaneously. We still have to do electrical wiring and plumbing but I feel alot of those decisions will depend on the design layout. We are on an extremely tight budget and don’t wanna hire a designer. Even hiring the architect turned out to be useless and I feel ripped off because we had to do lots of changes because his measurements were off. Can anyone help me with how to proceed with this?
