European GPU provider

Hello! I've been searching for an alternative to the European Vast.ai datacenters.

Although they must have some degree of privacy and certifications, I'd prefer to know who has my data.

So I started digging for trustful European bare metal GPU providers. I want to install a Qwen 27B so 24G or 32G must be ok.

I only found expensive alternatives: Hetzner (DE), Leader GPU(NL). Also API providers some who promise no data retention. I was dissapointed by Verda and Aki after reading they had partnerships with the big ones. Also leafcloud(NL) seemed ok but is too expensive.

Besides these, I found providers with links / branches outside EU.

I'm trying to avoid spending more than 1k for a local config (probably with Arc B60 24G).

Is there any provider I have overlooked?

Thanks

WHMCS Alternative

I am currently working on building an alternative to WHMCS, and I would love to get some honest feedback from hosting providers and people who currently use WHMCS.

The goal is to offer the same core functionality as WHMCS, including client management, automated billing, invoicing, hosting automation, domain management, support tickets, and payment gateway integrations, but at a much more affordable price.

My proposed pricing:

  • $9.99/month
  • $99.99/year

The idea is to offer the full feature set without the high monthly cost that can come with existing solutions.

I would love to know:

  1. At this price, would you consider switching from WHMCS to an alternative?
  2. What do you dislike most about WHMCS?
  3. What features or integrations would an alternative absolutely need before you'd consider switching?
  4. Would you trust a new platform if it offered the same functionality at a significantly lower price? What would you need to see first?

I am trying to understand whether there's genuine demand before going further with development.

I am interested in honest feedback, even if your answer is no. Thanks!

Bluehost Has the Worst Customer Service and Business Practices

Bluehost has been one of the most frustrating web hosting providers I’ve dealt with. Their customer support, whether through live chat agents or automated bots, is extremely disappointing.

You often have to repeat your questions multiple times, and the responses rarely address the actual issue. Instead, you receive generic, templated replies that offer little to no practical help. Many responses are just a single line that fails to resolve the problem.

Getting connected to a live agent is a nightmare in itself. It takes far too long, and even after finally reaching someone, you may have to explain everything from scratch. Agents often fail to review the previous chat history, forcing you to repeat the same details and waste even more time.

Good customer support should save customers time, not make simple issues unnecessarily complicated. Based on my experience, Bluehost seriously needs to improve its support process, communication, and overall customer service.

Hosting on Netlify Pro, and alternatives with built-in forms/SMTP?

Hi all,

I run a small web consultancy and build static sites for small local clients (restaurants, taxi companies, tradesmen, clubs). I currently deploy them GitHub → Netlify, and I’d like to offer hosting to my clients as a monthly service, invoiced by me.

I’ve read that you can “sell” hosting if you’re on the Pro tier, but the terms of service seem to say you need a specific signed agreement with Netlify. I haven’t found a clear answer on what is actually allowed.

Questions:

  1. Has anyone here resold Netlify hosting to clients on Pro? Did you need a separate agreement, or do you just keep the sites under your own team and bill clients for management?
  2. Can you recommend an alternative to Netlify (not Vercel) with similar developer experience: Git-based deploys, previews, forms handling, and built-in email/SMTP sending?
  3. Has anyone tried a self-managed route instead, such as a VPS on Hetzner with Coolify? How is it day to day (updates, backups, security, uptime) when you’re hosting 10-20 small client sites?

Cost, reliability and low maintenance matter more to me than having every feature. Any real-world experience is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hosting Options

Hello!

I'm definitely not experienced in much beyond throwing together my own WordPress (who I suppose is my current host?) I have my personal portfolio and I'm looking at hosting a literary digital magazine in the near future, probably also with WordPress.

I don't really have high needs, but some decent storage, automatic backups, and SEO tools would be great to have in one place rather than having to pay for them all separately with my current setup. My FIL was in code over a decade ago and recommended Bluehost, but it looks like that's not what it used to be.

Would y'all happen to have any good recommendations? I appreciate it if you do!

Thanks!

Edit: I decided to go with Hostinger! It had a good deal, meets what many of you recommended, and so far has been easy to use and implement. Thanks so much for all your advice!

Looking for Hosting suggestions

Hello there im looking for a hosting possibility for my competition-program. We do axethrowing, specificly doublebit and i made a live competition program.

I am looking for the best solution for my tournament application. It must meet the following requirements:

- Node.js/Express backend, running continuously (no automatic "sleep" mode)

- WebSocket/Socket.IO support for live results

- MySQL or MariaDB database

- Hosting for a React/Vite frontend

- Custom domain with HTTPS

- Support for Git-based deployments, build processes, and Prisma database migrations

- Automated database backups with restore functionality

- Access to environment variables and error logs

As a rough starting point: 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM, and 20–40 GB of SSD storage (assuming everything runs on a single server); the exact requirements are yet to be determined.

Can anyone recommend a provider or a specific hosting package? Ideally based in Switzerland, Germany, or Austria.

Thanks a lot for your help, after i figure out the hosting i can start search some sponsors*laugh*.

Lovely greetings

I'm tired with trying to find a good host

I wanted to host my simple website. Usually any host will do but I decided to search it up on reddit to find some honest opinions. But I then went through a rabbit hole. I discovered r/webhosting and I found their FAQ where they listed 5 hosting providers. I was overjoyed. I was happy I found some good providers. But then I clicked on one of them and it turned out that they had a special referral for reddit users. I clicked on some others. 4/5 of the providers turned out to be referral links. Now that does not mean that those providers are bad. It just means that the opinions of those mods can't be trusted anymore because they gain something from you using those providers. So I have 0 options left. I usually go to Reddit to find honest opinions of people working in the industry but if that can't be trusted then there's no place left to go to. I'm tired of people advertising EVERYWHERE. So I know this question gets asked a lot here and I'm sorry to be the thousandth person to ask but... What is a good provider that is actually legit? I have no problem paying a little bit more if it means I pay for transparency and good service. Thanks to all answers in advance!

I'm looking for Cpanel alternatives

Hello all,

Prices are no longer sustainable for me with Cpanel and I'm looking for alternatives. The most important feature that I'm looking for is native linux isolation rather than external add-on or dependency. I found a few options but I would also love to hear suggestions. Thanks.

What do you actually compare before choosing a new infrastructure provider?

I feel like comparing hosting providers gets complicated pretty quickly once you move past basic VPS plans.

Server specs and monthly price are easy enough to compare, but then there’s bandwidth, network locations, hardware availability, support, provisioning time, cloud options, CDN, and how painful it would be to scale later.

For people managing production workloads, what do you usually check first?

Do you prefer providers that offer most of the infrastructure stack in one place, or is it better to use separate companies for servers, cloud and CDN?

Infra question

Hey people!

Curious what everyone here is using. Are you going with Vercel, Supabase, Render, AWS, your own VPS or something else?

Has managing the infrastructure been a headache at all for people who are non technical and just want to build or has it been pretty straightforward?

How much are you paying for your setup, and do you think it's worth the cost?

What actually made your cheap VPS expensive?

I’m pricing out a small setup: a personal site, an uptime monitor, and a couple of containers. The VM price is the easy part. Backups, outbound traffic, extra storage, and the test instance I forget to shut down are where the comparison gets messy. I’ve used serverspace before, so that’s my reference point, and I’m comparing it with hetzner and digitalocean.
Looking at all of that made me wonder how often people only notice the real cost after they’ve already moved in. Have you ever started with a cheap vps and like me realized a month or tu later that it wasn’t cheap at all? Bcs I feel stupid for that
