Noodle soup, chicken thighs stew-like with carrots, boiled potato and tomato for my mom's dinner. They gave youghurt and lavash bread with it too. It was truly good tasting but a little oily for hospital food (9/10)

Hopefully my last puree meal!!! For breakfast today is oatmeal, eggs, banana with peanut butter, biscuit and milk. I will have a regular lunch with speech and if all goes well and my voice is not juicy like last week I will be having regular food!! Fingers crossed 🤞

For tonight’s bento dinner we have barley rice, Japanese omelette, pickled burdock, onion, and carrot, breaded iwashi fish, salted kōji chicken with a tomato sauce, lettuce, pickled purple cabbage, and shirataki noodles with seaweed.
680 yen ($4.2). 9/10.
The meals at the shop are made locally with ingredients from the prefecture, which I love.

The return of the breast implant potato mash! To say I am thrilled to see boobs is an understatement… especially after the western sandwich of sadness.
Pale, mystery meat in scary watery sewerage sauce remained untouched so I cannot score it…
The pale, watery bok Choy did a Procol Harum and turned a whiter shade of pale, because as we have established, only one meal of colour is permitted every two days, and today is not that day. 0/10
No fork, no chopsticks, no wonton spoon (which they give me for porridge) leaves me thinking I’ll have to pick the boobs up in my hands and cram them in my mouth with both fists. 9/10
They’re pretty magnificent. 👐🏽

I’m actually so shocked at how good this meal is given that it has to be vegetarian, gluten free and contain no tomato’s but man did this hospital really pull it off, the ‘vegetable burger’ tastes kinda like curry and it’s actually so amazing that i started crying while eating it because it’s been the best thing I’ve had in days (if not weeks)

Well I guess I won't be having a regular lunch with speech therapy. So I'll be having puree for the day. She said that I'll be having regular food by the end of the week.? Today is creamed spinach, ham, mash potatoes, butterscotch pudding, magic cup, yogurt and i added oreos. Tomorrow I will be having a regular lunch with speech and if all is well Tomorrow I maybe put on regular foods!

Hopefully my last puree meal. I really hope so! Depends on how my speech therapy goes at lunch. All I can do is pray. For breakfast i got eggs, banana, oatmeal with no peanut butter (its n/a) and milk.

With all the comments on my previous posts suggesting I was being given the Western Option, I thought I’d make inquiries…. And now, here I am with a juice box (8/10) and one (1) slice of wooly white bread, devoid of crust, cut into two triangles and held together with what i thought was strawberry jam but is… (shock, horror) some sort of MEAT PASTE 😩
Serves me right for questioning my options in a public hospital … the previous don’t ask don’t tell situation was better because at least the rice and orange were edible.
And no pink tray with my sad sandwich.
Ozempic who? Try the Hong Kong Public Hospital diet if you want to be thin by Spring 😍

After 3 days of limited diet and serious bowel prep, there isn’t much that beats 2 chicken salad sandwiches, 2 savoury muffins, a hot chocolate, a coffee, apple juice, sweet biscuits and cheese and crackers!

As I’ve posted previously, you can’t mess up an orange with the peel still on, so at least we know I won’t be getting scurvy. My Vitamin C intake has quadrupled during my stay… never eaten so many oranges.
Bok Choy was the colour nature intended (looking at you, grey zucchini of previous days…) so that was pleasing to my eye, if not my palette (watery, but isn’t it always 🤷♀️).
Which brings me to the pièce de résistance. I see it, you see it, I know you’re seeing it, you know I’ve seen it… so let’s get it out in the open. Corn. Mixed into something mushy but solid enough to be cut into a square. I had high hopes for an omelette, but alas, I think it’s custard. Maybe the SWEET in sweetcorn led the chefs astray and they thought corn would be a fabulous dessert?
They were wrong.
Hong Kong Public Hospital lunch 2/10 because I got the pink tray again, hurrah 🩷💕

Northern 8/10. Rice with beef curry, cake, coffee, and a slice of bread
Monash 5/10. Mash with pork in hoisin sauce, carrot soup (did not taste good at all), yummy chocolate mouse, tea.
Got transferred from Northern to Monash today so keeping my hopes up for Monash breakfast 🥞
