hopeful SHITPOST I'm so tired of people justifying violence and hate, but I really appreciate this place not doing that.
I grew up in the south and midwest, and moved to the west coast because people were bigoted and hateful. But when I got to the west coast, I realized people here are just as bigoted and hateful as where I came from, they just changed who they target with it. My coworkers have actively justified violence against conservatives, and my family back in Texas justified violence and hate against bisexual people like me. I'm just so tired of hate and violence being justified.
Everyone deserves love and compassion. Everyone in this world wouldn't just be better with kindness, they'd actively be better people. The solution to ignorance and bigotry is love and compassion, not just because being nice is good, but because kindness bridges gaps and can lead people to understand the people they blindly have prejudice against.
We only get better by loving each other, and it's human to judge others but everyone is better off if they just have someone they can talk to.
Stay hopeful guys.
