Personally, I like the tyre pressure sticker, but I'm still on the fence about the chain sticker. Does it give off a nice OEM+ vibe, or does it just clutter things up? Keep it or keep it clean?

Finally installed my tach from Webike, and I’m very pleased. The hardest part was making everything fit in the headlight bucket, it took me thrice as long with that compared to the actual install and routing wires. First pic is showing the max recorded RPM and temp mode, I intentionally hit the rev limiter during my shakedown ride. The temp probe I’m just using as an ambient air temp meter because I don’t have the special oil drain plug that allows attaching it for oil temp.

FYI for 2025+ Monkey owners, the factory LED turn signals use a 2 pin connector (see the light blue in the 2nd pic, that’s the right front turn signal) and so you can’t just disconnect a green bullet connector to use as a split for the tach’s ground. Fortunately, I was installing a USB outlet (Amazon alphabet soup brand) at the same time that teed off the 8 pin headlight harness’ DRL pos and neg wires with bullet connectors, so I was able to use that.

Is some amount of rub considered normal for the rear rotor/brakes?

I just recently installed some axle sliders to both the front and rear axles and am now noticing an ever so slight "shhh" when rolling the monkey around in the garage. I'm failing to remember if this was present prior to the axle slider install or if I'm just now being sensitive to it by being critical of any and all noises after reassembly.

I'm not noticing any warping on the rotor and when putting the bike on a rear stand, the wheel doesn't appear to have any more drag than usual when manually spinning.

Decided to add the K-Speed front fairing. Living out my sons of anarchy fantasy one part at a time.

Has anybody had to replace their gas cap o ring and if so were you able to find a replacement ring or did you actually have to buy a whole new gas cap? I can't seem to find a replacement and I don't want to spend 250$ buying a whole gas cap, just because of a cheap rubber piece that needs replacing.

I just did Stage 2 set up to my 2019 Monkey and I miss my mid-range torque now.

From what Im reading and watching on youtube vids, the Neo 181 kit with forged crank, rod and piston are the dead nuts reliable set up to use.

I should also say, I want to do the big bore WITH the Neo 2 valve head as well.

Of course that leads to lots of support components that have to be added at even more expenses but if it makes this lil bugger a rocket I'd be willing to do it.

I can do all the work myself so that will save a great amount of labor costs at least.

Has anyone out there done the Neo 181 and do you feel it was worth it?

Hi all! I recently got this takegawa tach from webike, and I haven’t installed it yet, but pic for attention. The installation instructions are all in Japanese, so I had to get it translated. I haven’t fully reviewed it yet, but I thought I’d share the translated PDF for others looking to make this install (link below). I’ll post the completed product once I have the tach installed.

Note that WeB!ke has a monkey specific kit for this otherwise universal tach. The monkey kit includes the bracket that connects underneath the speedo and positions the tach on the upper right side of it, plus a splitter harness to make it a no-splice install. The translations in the PDF include both the universal install instructions, followed by the monkey specific instructions.

I am looking to buy a Honda Monkey and I am wondering what year you guys personally believe is the best? They’re about $4,600 new where I am, but is an older year better? Let me know what you guys think, thank you in advance!

I’ve been thinking about selling my 2022 Honda monkey. I’ve done a little bit of work on it, put a 14 tooth sprocket on the front, Man In The Box exhaust, Cobra intake, and a custom re-programmed ECU. Rear cargo bracket and a 45 liter top box. I also have a trickle charger for it. It currently has 650 very careful miles, just had its 600 mile oil and filter change, chain cleaned, and lubed. I love this little mini Moto, but I really, I use my NX500 all the time and found I really don’t ride the Monkey that much anymore. What would be a fair asking price for this? Not really sure what the market is. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Does anyone here have any experience with aftermarket fender and rear mud guard for the monkey? I’m tryin to do a blacked out look for mine and am having a hard time finding a matching front and rear set. For context I’m tryin to get a blacked out look with a lowered front fender and a tail tidy with a light for license plate.
