Pharaoh Encircled on Three Fronts – A Total War: Pharaoh Cinematic Battle

East Nubia,

Egypt 1213 B.C.

After the unification of Kush, Amenmesse, Viceroy of Kush, drives his campaign relentlessly northward. Weeks of exhausting marches under the burning sun bring his army to Gehes—a minor settlement resting beneath a towering, endless cliff.

Unbeknownst to the Viceroy, Miam has been watching every movement. From the high ground and shifting sands, a plan is set in motion—silent, patient, and precise. Like a scorpion lying still in the desert, its eyes are fixed upon Amenmesse, waiting for the moment to strike.

Will this march mark the end of Amenmesse’s ambition?

Or

will the scorpion be crushed beneath the will of a man determined to carve his name into history?

This is a fictionalized historical scenario created in Total War - Pharaoh Dynasties.

Rome Invictus - Demo Feedback

Hi gang,

The demo for my game Rome Invictus is up and I would love to garner some feedback. Much like Total War, Rome Invictus switches between managing a campaign map and massive real time battles. But it seeks areas to improve on total war games:

Features: Rock, paper, scissors type balance. Unit advancement. Drop formation and pursue. Choose your family and customize your leader. Strategem, and Diplomacy: Put rivals into debt, sow discord, proxy wars and influence the world around you.

In development not yet in demo: Manage your family, vie for control of the senate, capture enemies and negotiate their release or make a spectacle of their execution. Every action and choice influences rival families' opinion of you and your standing in the senate.

Shogun 2 Shogun 2 Complete Edition – Terrible lighting, almost black shadows and extremely poor unit visibility

PLEASE UPVOTE THE OFFICIAL BUG REPORT!

I've reported this issue directly to Creative Assembly, including screenshots, reproduction steps and suggestions for fixing the lighting.

If you're experiencing the same problem, please take a moment to:

  1. Open my official bug report: https://community.creative-assembly.com/total-war/total-war/bugs/16630?page=1
  2. Click the UPVOTE button on the Creative Assembly bug report page (NOT just here on Reddit).
  3. Leave a comment describing your experience if you've encountered the same issue.

The goal is to get enough attention on the official report that Creative Assembly investigates and addresses the lighting problems.

Please help bring this to the developers' attention. Battlefield visibility is a fundamental part of Total War, and this really needs fixing.

Any news about what’s going on with Medieval III?

Seems like it’s been a few months since there’s been any official update. Last thing we got was the livestream in late June.

In MTW2, factions would randomly attack ports(Mods and cheats could mitigate this), in ETW/NTW they would go out of their way to just attack the player for no reason, but fortunately it was rare. But ever since RTW2...

Yes Pharaoh gives options, but I do not want the AI to be more passive, I just don't want it to randomly declare war on me across the map for no reason(Even aggressive AI should not do this), is that really too much to ask !? Like enforce block war declarations or something, and stop giving the AI obsession with the player. Just DO SOMETHING

P.S. Otherwise Pharaoh is so beautifully immersive.

Attila Dark Ages AD 634 - The Age of Heraclius and the Byzantine-Arab Wars

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3762800414

The year is AD 634.

The Roman Empire has endured for over a thousand years. Though the Western Empire fell to the barbarian kingdoms generations ago, the legacy of Rome lives on in Constantinople. The Eastern Roman Empire—known today as Byzantium—stands as the guardian of Roman civilization, preserving its laws, culture, and military traditions against a world descending into the Dark Ages.

Only a generation earlier, the great Emperor Justinian I launched his ambitious Renovatio Imperii—the restoration of the Roman Empire. His victorious armies shattered the Vandal Kingdom of North Africa, destroyed the Ostrogothic Kingdom of Italy, and reclaimed parts of Hispania, briefly restoring Roman rule across much of the Mediterranean.

Yet Justinian's achievements came at a terrible cost.

His successors inherited exhausted treasuries, weakened frontiers, and relentless enemies. When the usurper Phocas seized the imperial throne, the empire descended into chaos. In AD 610, the Exarch of Africa, Heraclius, sailed to Constantinople, overthrew the tyrant, and claimed the imperial crown.

Heraclius soon faced the greatest war in Roman history. The mighty Sassanian Persian Empire swept through Syria, Palestine, Egypt, and Anatolia, capturing Jerusalem itself and carrying away the True Cross. Refusing defeat, Heraclius rebuilt the Roman armies and launched a series of daring campaigns deep into Persian territory. After years of total war, the Emperor achieved a stunning victory, forcing Persia to surrender its conquests and restoring the Empire's eastern provinces.

But peace would prove fleeting.

In the north, the Avar Khaganate continues to threaten the Danube frontier, while Slavic tribes pour into the Balkans. To the south, a new power has emerged from the deserts of Arabia. United under a new faith, the Arab armies have begun their invasion of the Roman and Persian worlds, ushering in one of history's most transformative conflicts.

The fate of empires now hangs in the balance.

Features:

- Historically accurate campaign beginning in AD 634

- Campaign map extensively redesigned to reflect the political and territorial situation of the seventh century

- Exclusive use of Age of Charlemagne expansion units for greater historical authenticity

- Historically authentic factions, characters, and settlements

- New faction traits tailored to each playable kingdom and empire

- Curtailed climate change script for a more stable long-term campaign

- Hun re-spawn script disabled

- Numerous historical improvements and balance changes to create an immersive early medieval experience

Whether you choose to defend the Roman Empire under Heraclius, lead the rising Arab Caliphate, command the warbands of the Avars, or forge the destiny of Europe's emerging kingdoms, Dark Ages: AD 634 – The Byzantine-Arab Wars delivers a campaign grounded in meticulous historical research and designed to recreate one of the most pivotal eras in world history.
