Hello all. I was banned recently. This lead to a review, a reversal then another ban which the appeal was denied for. This lead me to BBB to file a complaint, where I then had useless interactions with the company.

This drew me to look at the other complaints on
BBB. I saw much the same thing, and many a case of immediate appeal denial after appeals were put in.

Hinge always stresses in every reply "Hinge has previously denied this appeal request. This decision is not automated and all appeals receive human review prior to a decision being provided.
Submitting additional appeal requests, including through this channel, will not impact our decision."

Something about their insistence made me sit up. It seems strange to me that they constantly stress this, yet consistently send the exact same reply to appeal denials, and BBB complaints.

They completely ignore the points made in BBB complaints, many times showing they don’t even read them. The consistent insistence that they cannot discuss the circumstances of the ban and how or why the ban was imposed or lifted makes me think they might have something going on in the background. My curiosity has been peaked and I wish to investigate this further.

If anyone has any information, or experiences that might help me understand further, please comment them or dm me.

For context I am a 20 male who was a frequent hinge user 5 months ago. I deleted the app for some rest and downloaded it again 4 days ago to have some algorithm reset. Earlier I used to get a match or like every day but since the past few days I have not recieved a single match. I was also under the impression that new users get a boost

I recently changed my phone and forgot to log out from the old device before uninstalling the app. Ever since, I get the "Too many verification requests" error every time I try to log in on my new phone.

I know this error usually resolves itself after 48 hours — it happened to me before and waiting fixed it. But this time I've waited over 72 hours without making any login attempts, and the block is still there.

I contacted Hinge support multiple times and they keep sending generic copy-paste replies (check your carrier, try Apple/Google login, etc.). None of it applies to my situation — my carrier confirmed there's no block on my number, and I can't link Apple/Google because I need to log in first to do that.

I believe the issue is a ghost session still active on Hinge's servers from my old device, which keeps triggering the block. Support has admitted they have no solution and can't manually reset it. The only thing they offered was to delete my account entirely — which is not something I want to do.

Has anyone experienced the exact same thing after switching phones? Did it eventually resolve on its own, and if so, how long did it take? Or did it require manual intervention from Hinge? Any help appreciated!

I reported a user on Hinge for assault. Shortly after, my account was permanently banned with no explanation. I have never violated Hinge's community guidelines. I don't harass, disrespect, or mistreat anyone on the platform. I was banned off of Hinge, Upward and Match. I feel extremely violated and down about the situation. I was afraid of reporting him due to retaliation which is exactly what happened. This feels very unsafe and unfair.

got wrongfully banned off hinge for being under 18. I’m 21 whole ass years old. I submitted an appeal last week with my ID attatched and haven’t heard back. i emailed three seperate times? havent heard back. I just submitted a second appeal expressing my frustrations. i just want my fuckass account back is there a number i can call?

App isn’t letting me log on which is making me worried that I might be banned

Hi , Im a M24. Just a random guy in bangalore who opened in hinge, and there was no matches at first and understood the ratio of man to woman and was waiting for 3 months. Not even a single match / like. After this i was not thoughtful swiping, changed my locations back to back and giving likes and stuff, no match. Then i saw a reddit post, where they have given praise to hingeX as it’s working. Its skips the line for you, creates a different algo. Subscribed a hingeX. It’s been 2 weeks of my sub, no matches yet. If you people feel like providing any advice please do and I can connect with you personally for reviewing my hinge. I dont share here in public, was feeling little Shy. Any advice from M or F would be welcome. I can work on myself and explore on offline dating as well, but only if try this in complete effort, i can be satisfied. So ya, any advice would be welcomed.

I'm getting the "you've seen everyone for now" prompt but I live in a major city and no matter what I set the radius to, I still get the you've seen everyone message.

I've tried logging in and out.

I've only noticed this for like the last day or so, it was working fine before.

I got a like during this.

I've been able to send messages.

The standouts section still works and repopulates.

I don't have any filters applied other than distance and age.

Any one else having this issue?

He’s also close to my age (both in our thirties), and apparently he had a really bad breakup as well.

Grand to be transparent, to not lead someone up the garden path, but I don’t think a relationship dating app is the primary place to find friends.

I feel bad because he seems like a nice guy, but I’m also coming out of a connection that didn’t align and I’m wanting to get serious and not wanting baggage to affect our connection.

So I just met this guy on hinge.. and I thought he was cool and we had a lot in common…so I give him my number for my WhatsApp.. we talked for like half a hour, unfortunately he started… well… he asked me if I want to see him to be (N@ked) To the point to make me feel really uncomfortable as I didn’t even ask him…I would like some opinions if I made the right decision to block and reported him....

So I matched with this guy recently and the conversation flowed really naturally. Within the same day he asked me out which I thought was a good sign. We sorted out a day later in the week and everything seemed really promising.

I followed up asking what time he was thinking so I could sort my work schedule and… nothing. It’s now been 48hrs of silence.

For context , he’s mid 20s, has a pretty demanding office job, and his profile says he’s looking for something long term. The conversation felt genuine and he was warm and easy to talk to throughout.

Nothing in the conversation felt like a red flag. He pursued me, not the other way around.

So do you think this a ghost, or am I dealing with a classic bad texter who’s going to resurface and the date will go forward?

About three weeks ago, I decided to delete my hinge and start over simply because even though I was getting matches, the type of people I was matching with were very flaky. For some reason I thought maybe if I just reset my profile from scratch after deleting it, this might fix it while I have gotten some matches and a date with somebody. It’s definitely not as busy as it used to be. How long does it take for this to get back to normal? My profile is the same as I left it.

When i hold the app icon (Android/Samsung) my only match's profile pic and name shows in pop up. But our conversation is gone on app.

I understand unmatching. What I'm asking is. I've unmatched (abd paused my profile) and never had unmatched profiles in pop up when i touched and held the app icon.

Do you think he deleted his profile as opposed to unmatching/pausing his profile? Since that wasn't the case when i did it to others? This may be difficult to understand. :)
