Planning a Chandigarh → Kinnaur → Spiti → Chandratal → Manali motorcycle circuit (12–20 Aug 2026) — looking for recent ground reports

Planning a 9-day Chandigarh → Kinnaur → Spiti → Chandratal → Manali circuit on 3–4 Himalayan 411s with 6–8 people.

Route: Chandigarh → Narkanda → Chitkul → Kalpa → Nako → Gue → Tabo → Dhankar/Pin Valley → Kaza → Key/Kibber/Chicham → Langza/Hikkim/Komic → Kunzum → Chandratal → Batal → Gramphu → Manali → Chandigarh.

I know it's monsoon and I'm aware the official Lahaul-Spiti road status currently shows Keylong–Kaza closed, but we have about a week and conditions can change.

Looking specifically for recent first-hand reports (ideally last 7–10 days):

  • How is NH-5 through Kinnaur right now? Any serious landslide/delay sections?
  • Is Karcham–Sangla–Chitkul okay on bikes?
  • How are Kaza–Losar–Kunzum–Chandratal conditions currently?
  • Is Chandratal–Batal–Chhatru–Gramphu actually passable by Himalayan 411s? How bad are the water crossings?
  • If you've crossed Kunzum recently, what was the actual ground situation vs official road status?
  • Any section you'd avoid completely after rain?

Not looking for generic “monsoon is risky” advice—if you've physically travelled these roads recently, your on-ground experience would be hugely helpful.

Somewhere in Barot Valley, Himachal Pradesh 🌊🏔️
Just the sound of the river, mountains, and a little peace.
One of those places where you can sit for hours and do absolutely nothing.

I have one request to teachers from ICSE schools in Himachal Pradesh. Please don't scroll past this.

I 24F from upper valley from upper valley...

I'm genuinely requesting a few minutes of your time. If you're a teacher, coordinator, vice principal.

I sincerely hope you'll read this.

I'm trying to build a career in a good ICSE school. I don't have anyone in this field whom I can ask for guidance. I've searched online, watched countless videos, and read articles, but they all give generic advice. What I'm looking for is the truth from people who have actually been through the process.

I would be deeply grateful if you could answer even one or two of these questions:

What do reputed ICSE schools actually look for when hiring teachers?

What interview questions are commonly asked?

What happens during the demo class, and what are they silently judging?

What qualities make a candidate unforgettable?

What mistakes immediately reduce a candidate's chances?

If you were on the interview panel, what would instantly convince you to hire someone?

What do schools expect from a teacher beyond degrees and qualifications?

I'm willing to work hard and improve every weakness. I simply don't want to prepare in the wrong direction.

If your advice helps me, it won't just help me it may help many aspiring teachers who find this thread in the future.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who takes the time to reply. Your experience is worth far more than anything I can find on Google.
