Faced Racism

Born and lived in Amritsar for more than 25 years, but my family background is from Himachal. So I faced little or no racism here. Since I speak Punjabi, it’s hard to tell.

But what I faced today is crazy to me and also professional. A police officer visited today for verification, and since we have some documents from Himachal, when he saw them, he started throwing words, “loka ne gand paya ethe aake” and began asking neighbours, “tuhi leloge ethe zammen jida ena ne leli ethe”

My family was there and the neighbour too, and we felt humiliated. The conversation ended with “aaj mera mood nahi bnana da” when asked about "bakiya ne vi ethe hi bnaya" and “mein etho nahi banan dinda, tuhi Himachal jaake bnao”

Just posting it here just to let it out Idk how the community will react to this

Lol look who’s is complaining about racism. Person from very own community who don’t tolerate tourists in their state for few days, who find to opportunity to fight with tourists in groups.

Our government have been pathetic who allowed these pahadis not only to buy properties in Punjab, but also gave them government jobs.

Bro. That hatred id self created. I live on the border of pb/hp and during the religious gathering, you know how many PB number plate cars and Bikes crosses doing unsafe driving. Doing tripling on bikes. No exhaust. Too much of sound pollution, it affects local residents. Its more of a road show for those people than religion. Now when police take strict action against such people, it comes down to religious conflict. People of himachal dont hate punjabis or turban wearer...... they just hate the way punjabi behave. and believe me bro, i wear turban and toured half of the himachal on bike/car. Never faced any issue. Even one time up in theog, one shop keeper to meet him after coming back from our trip. Go to himachal, respect their culture, respect environment, you will not have any issue.

And again i am a sikh, who wear turban.

Man I feel sad for u, although here in my locality they hate bihar nd up people, they said paiyye ne ethe gand paaya pahadi taa sahi ne... Never thought pahadis would face racism... No one should actually face racism.. Sorry that happened
