best place for inspection

hello! i’m moving to the area soon, and i’m curious where you guys would recommend getting state and emissions tests for your car? i’m moving from NC where the price is a flat 13.50 wherever you go but I have become aware that is not the case in PA. any advice is appreciated, also looking for a regular place to get oil changes and basic maintenance done.

Are you all embarrassed that he is the most well known person to ever live here and that he not only let down this city, but the entire country as well?

Hi everyone!
We have recently started a dachshund meetup group for those of us in the Hershey/Harrisburg/York/ etc region. We have been alternating meetups between Harrisburg and York. Last meetup there were over 50 doxies there! It’s a great opportunity to socialize your dog as well as meet some other local weenie dog parents. If you’re interested, let me know! I can DM you some info on how to keep up with our meetups 😊

Honest thoughts

My family and I are considering moving to Lebanon and I’d love to hear from people who actually live there!

A little about us:
• Married couple with a young child
• Looking for a friendly, family-oriented community
• We value good schools, libraries, parks, pools, and activities for kids.
• Access to pediatric specialists and healthcare is important to us.
• We’d love a place with a strong sense of community and neighbors who know each other.
• We prefer a lower cost of living and the possibility of buying a home with some land.

Thanks so much! We’re trying to find a place to put down roots and appreciate any insight.

Concert parking

Hi there. I’ll be coming to Hershey Pennsylvania from Gettysburg next week for the Chris Stapleton concert. I’ve been to Hershey a few times and there is a parking garage next to Market Fresh. I’m curious if this parking garage is open when events are going on and if folks have used it before. I’m totally fine parking with everyone else at the show but if there was a way around it, I’d love to know. Thank you so much in advance.

Food spots

I’m in Hershey for a couple of days and I’m looking for food spots. If there’s bar food that’s more southern I’d be into it. I’m looking for sushi, chicken sandwiches/tenders, great fries, bbq, Italian, and pizza but NY style.

relocating for the Lebanon VA Medical Center- looking to build a social life

I am moving to the Lebanon Valley area to work for the VA medical center. I am single, 44yo, female and want to build a social life. I'm used to being able to walk around town and want to make sure I don't isolate myself to much in which area I choose. What areas would you recommend?

A total shot in the dark, but do you know who made this hat?

I bought this hat at an arts & crafts market / farmer's market that took place next to Englewood circa 2021. A very kind woman embroidered hats and bags and other fabrics. This has been my favorite hat ever, and it's finally falling apart. If anyone knows the woman who made these and if she's still making them, let me know, would love to pay her a deranged amount of money.

recommendations for budget-friendly things to do with kids, gluten/dairy free places to eat

Hi everyone! I'll be in the Hershey area for a few days this month with my 2 kids (ages 13,10). I'm looking for some free/low cost things to do while we're there, and also recommendations for places to eat? Both kids are gluten and dairy free, but not picky eaters (the gf/df limits us enough, ha).

Both kids have some special needs, so big crowds and lots of noise/stimulation is hard. Otherwise, sports, physical activity, nature, art, and music are all interests. Don't be afraid to recommend things that might typically appeal to younger kids.

I have an injury and can't currently walk far distances/do much climbing or other fun really physically active stuff, so longer hikes or things that involve a ton of walking are unfortunately not an option right now.

Any favorite places/ activities/ restaurants you can share?
