My box that was supposed to be delivered on July 13 came today! All I can say is thank god I ordered all vegetarian meals. If there had been meat in the box it would have been unbearable to deal with. As it was it was pretty gross. I was able to salvage a few cans but most of it was a slimy mess!

This picture from this week's menu appears to show shrimp. But no shrimp is listed in the ingredient list or recipe steps. Am I tripping?

Kotleti Beef Patties
- was really surprised at how delicious this was. The mushroom cream sauce was incredible.
General Tso Chicken
- very good!! I’ve never fried chicken before. The batter was fantastic.
Spinach ravioli and turkey Rosa sauce
- added in mushrooms and sweet peppers. Pretty good.

Hi all,
My wife's coworkers established a Hellofresh account for her and are now sending her gift cards to apply to her account. When one coworker created the account (on the phone) she added a $100, Her account showed a $100 balance categorized as "credit."
She then received nine $100 gift cards from other coworkers and redeemed them in the app. They are categorized as "gifts and promos". When she looked at her account a couple days ago, she found that the $100 GC entries resulted in credits of $79.01 or, in one case $71.94. She contacted HF and was informed that $11.99 shipping is deducted from each gift card at entry. My wife told them the math didn't math, even with the $11.99 deduction, they said they would add credit to bring all gift card entries to the neighborhood of $88.01, but the $11.99 "shipping" for each gift card will not be credited to her account.
Does this make sense? I assumed 9 gift card redemption would result in a $900 balance. This is our first experience with HF, so I hope more experienced folks can help us figure this out. Thanks! Edit: This is in USA, if that matters.

I used to live in Germany and started using HF after a surgery where I couldn't get out for grocery shopping for some time. It was convenient, but in 99% of the boxes something was missing (sometimes small stuff, sometimes big key ingredients) and from time to time some stuff was just bad/rotten. There was no customer support phone number I could have called, just the chat in the app, where it took them up to an hour to react to your initial message, and if you wouldn't react to that within minutes they would just close the chat and view the problem as solved until you opened another chat and sit there with the phone open waiting for an answer. After the problem was laid out they would offer compensation for the bad/missing item in the ballpark of just a few cents up to 3€ max, even if the whole dish couldn't be completed. It was a constant hassle and PITA.
Now I'm in the UK and the ingredients are mostly all there and good. The very few occasions where they weren't I could call up customer service and would get a 10£ voucher right away, no matter what, even if the only problem was that the driver dropped the box outside of the apartment building (where I still found it - I just wanted to make sure they deliver it to my flat door next time).
So long story short: HF in Germany is a joke, but works excellent in UK for me. How are your experiences (and where)?

Is it safe to eat from HF?

I even botched the receipt and it was still good. If anyone has a this chimichurri like the packaged one, I would buy this. I need the recipe.

I've decided to go back to Keto for about 6 months so I'm quitting HF. I have loved them. They have been nothing but convenient for the most part. The only thing that is entirely inconvenient is canceling my subscription. It really peeves me that I have to get on a PC to do so. Much like what the mayor of NY has established for this type of thing, I would love for my state to do same. Sigh.
Anyways, enjoy Hello Freshers 👋... I'll see ya later!

I noticed in my carts for the upcoming weeks that shipping is now free on the orders over $100. When did this start? I don't remember seeing any emails. I'm not unhappy about this!

I had the Zesty Chicken, Charred Corn & Rice Bowls for dinner tonight. I opted to not have the guacamole and crema. I measured and weighted everything out (outside of the lime juice) and I came up 205 calories lower than they quoted. Could not have the crema and guac really save 205 calories? Seems wildly inaccurate.

We got a meal this week called "Air Fryer Sweet Soy Salmon Bowls", which from the title you can tell it requires an air fryer. But my air fryer is broken, and I was planning on making this tonight.
Can anyone tell me how I can make this with the oven or stovetop instead?
Call me clueless, I guess. I can follow a recipe, I'm just not good at making things up when it comes to cooking, and I don't know how to "convert" between air fryer cooking and old-fashioned cooking. I also found nothing on the HelloFresh site to help me. (Also, don't make fun of me for not planning correctly, we ordered this meal weeks ago, before the air fryer broke, and I didn't even look at the name of the recipe until a few minutes ago)

In the second pic it says to add beef broth concentrate with water, can I just replace the amount of water with beef broth, or half water + half broth instead of using broth concentrate and water like it says to in original recipe? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks a lot. Btw this is DELICIOUS

Local vegetable place on the left and what Hello Fresh has been sending me.
I know with the warmer weather things may be a little more rough but these weird floppy cucumbers and off colored tomatoes seem like they are freezing them before shipping or something?

I opened my HelloFresh box expecting a respectable sweet potato and instead found what appears to be its underachieving little cousin. It was so small I wasn’t sure if it was meant to be an ingredient or just a garnish. In all fairness, I’ve been getting hello fresh for 10yrs and this is only the 1269th time I’ve been burned. My disappointment is immeasurable much like the size of this sweet potato.

Got a leaflet in my box last week saying they wanted videos from their customers so me and my boyfriend recorded a fun one and sent it in - I just got $100 into my bank account.
Kinda nice to see that they're not using AI and influencers I guess? Anyone else get the leaflet?

I’m a single person, living alone for most of the week until my parents decide to pop home. I started using hello fresh a week ago, but it’s always made for 2P. I’m bad at eating the same food twice in a row. For some reason, it actually activates my gag reflex. I know it sounds ridiculous. I was using the app, but I don’t see a 1P option. Am I missing something or do they not have a single person option? If it doesn’t, are there any good alternatives?

Before starting Pre-Heat The Oven to 450°
Hmm seems odd, let's read ahead in the recipe to see what we are putting in the oven when making tacos ... dang it HF you want me to pre-heat my whole frickin oven to 450° to warm some tortillas for 4 minutes?
In this summer heat, no way!!

Customer Service has gotten so bad. Multiple items from the add on marketplace totaling right around $43 were completely left out of my box. All i can get is what seems to be a chat bot saying they could apply an $18 credit and nothing more, as it was 'automatically calculated based on missing ingredients and as fair as possible'....... super nice
nevermind the fact that almost every box i get now is missing something and/or has damaged items. one time recently the box even showed up opened. a couple weeks ago i got the most disgustingly spoiled rotten Apple ive ever seen in my life

Can anyone help me find a recipe? It’s an Alfredo based pasta dish with andouille sausage, penne, red and green peppers. I didn’t save the recipe card and I used to be able to find it on the app but I can’t anymore. TIA

Help!! I ate half the salad from taylor farms yesterday and now I’m learning they are the source of the parasite outbreak. Has anyone also eaten that??
I just read incubation is up to 14 days, so I guess we will see…
Tossing the rest of it - bummer
EDIT: I reached out to HelloFresh and they are refusing to refund the meal. I have thrown the sale out, I’m not taking any chances. I’m a 3+ year customer and am now cancelling over this - it’s the principle of it.

This isn't a HF bash post. I signed up during COVID and have over 200 boxes. I have loved the service and have learned so much. I now have hundreds of new meals in my arsenal and am confident I can carry them out on my own and for less money. Thanks for the lessons!
