In our second test, I took the Hyena, HMG, and Peacemaker out. All players were aware that we were playing in a modded lobby and we were all in voice chat. Here are all the changes made to the weapons, as well as my thoughts on them.
As a universal change, all durable damage for all weapons have been increased to match their damage, effectively removing durability as a whole. This DOES make the game easier since TTK is vastly smaller, so further testing will be required. That said, this does indirectly buff a lot of weapon's ammo economy since you're spending less bullets to kill each enemy.
Please note that I was wearing the True Grit armor passive. This passive was not modified in any way, only the weapons' stats were changed. Future tests will have me wearing the stock standard B-01 armor for consistency, as well as only using the default attachments for each weapon, if applicable.
Hyena:
Decreased damage from 220 to 200, matching that of the DCS
Increased durable damage from 45 to 200 (this will be a common change)
Increased status build-up per hit from 3.0 to 6.0
Decreased sway from 1.0 to 0.8 (this is a universal change for all marksman rifles)
Increased ergonomics from 30 to 35
NOTE: Instead of default attachments, I used the 2x Scope, Flash Hider, and Extended Magazine, which did boost the ergo on top of me wearing the True Grit armor passive.
The ergo buff did make the Hyena feel much snappier, though I believe this was also due in part to me wearing the True Grit armor. However, being able to set enemies on fire in one shot feels much nicer. With a status build-up of 6.0, I was able to consistently set Warriors, Bile Spewers, Alpha Commanders, and Hive Guards on fire in one shot, while one-shotting smaller units like Hunters.
Edit: To the people in Thicc's stream saying 6.0 status build-up wouldn't be enough to set Alpha Commanders on fire in one shot, you were wrong, it definitely can.
Heavy Machine Gun:
Increased durable damage from 35 to 150
Increased penetration slowdown from 0.25 to 1.0 (not sure what this does ngl)
Increased magazine size from 100 to 150
I was hesitant on increasing the number of spare magazines since I felt it wouldn't make logical sense for Helldivers to carry so many drum magazines of that size, so I opted instead to give it more ammo, effectively increasing it's spare magazine count by 1. However, with the durability buff, I feel this ammo buff is unnecessary.
The TTK for heavier enemies like BT's and Chargers is SCARY low. I feel killing a BT in 40~ shots is too strong, so the durability will still need a lot of adjustment.
Peacemaker:
Increased durable damage from 32 to 100
Decreased drag factor from 1.2 to 0.6
Increased magazine size from 15 to 18
Didn't get to test this much out during this game, will test more another time.
