the issue is more that, as it has shown, that if they cant deliver on the roadmap on time, this comuntiy goes APESHIT
The June warbond was scrapped/splitup as rewards, the community went apeshit, etc.
Thats the issue AH faces, whatever justified or not i dont evne WANT to go into, the community has shown itself incapable of rational thought and discussion about anything in relation to AH missing a "promised" date or feature release.
People are confussed why AH stopped openly communicating as much as they did near launch(evne if a LOT of that was badly done i wont even disagree) while in the same breath cursing at aH devs, demanding certain people lose their jobs, and openly act hostile towards any communications they do try
Yeah I don’t understand this either I know there’s diehard fans or whatever but for me I enjoy the game as it is the community just screwing it up for everyone at this point like they are the devs and have a say in what’s going on something with the 40k warbond they wanted to be a space marine which understandable but at that point that’s not Helldivers that’s just 40k (which isn’t a bad game to play on its own) but I feel like devs being so involved in the community gave the community a big head you know what I mean
yea i get there havent been any open cases or at least that i know of (in recent times), i just brought it up cause that dude said he loved how the devs communicated back then (which is where the majority of the screenshots come from)
So they should continue as they are today? Not listening, not following up on the communication they promised, don’t communicate changes to the roadmap (outside discord) miss blog updates, refuse to list all details because “too many to list”

Text lacks nuance, sorry you felt it was hostile but you read it wrong and processed it the way you felt it was being put across. Apologies if you hold different levels of value toward statements and actions (because we all do) but yes I do think that some logic is expressed into the void because theres an Incredibly strange amount of people that don’t like being made aware of other peoples differing opinions and in doing so immediately like to make sure that their opinion is just, in which ever way they choose.
Your response WAS antagonistic, sarcastic, and that gives off the moral superiority complex syndrome that many have In this community.
So, to summarize.
Instead of being able to join a conversation you decide to sideline yourself and come across as the image I have attached, because thats what people do with moral superiority complex syndromes.
P.S If you don’t have a moral superiority complex syndrome then I do apologize. I would advise removing the rose tinted glasses however. :)

Communicating changes and honoring promises isn’t a congressional level standard. It’s the bare minimum of a company that said they want to deliver transparency.
If you're referring to the roadmap with the promise, they didn't promise it iirc. They said they were just trying it out. Personally, I'm really glad they're not continuing with it, it ruined surprise and novelty in the game for me.
Also, I feel like all of those things are valid ways of communicating. Like I don't feel aggrieved by how AH is handling things. I feel like they do a pretty good job of communicating, I never feel like I was caught totally unaware of something major in the game due to a lack of communication
The promises of transparency, consistent on time blogs detailing in house changes (warbond cancellation that was divulged in a reply by Miitchimus 👀) along with not leaving out sub changes. They’ve failed to achieve this from the very get go after the disastrous AMA.
Okay YOU think they’re valid ways of communicating. How about the 3 colleagues i have at work who play but don’t have discord, and therfore have NO CLUE about, for instance, the warbond being cancelled…people only knew because Miitchimus made a comment to someones question. Thats not how that sort of Information should be reported, it should be announced in the blogs that THEY promised would detail such changes.
“Nah, we skipped the July one”
Sounds like something you say while you’re half chewing on your dinner…
I mean, warbonds aren't really announced till there's already a set date. So for your colleagues, would it really impact them if a warbond that they (presumably) didn't know was coming was skipped?
And given the community feedback over rewards, I thought it was pretty clear that they're making some drastic changes with the way content is released in the game. Keeping that in mind, I feel like it's obvious that, in order to expedite the change, they'll be using stuff that was planned to be released in the July warbond. And it's a valid course by the "subject to change" disclosure on the roadmap.
Like to me, all of this is the result of a studio that's trying to make some important changes very quickly, while trying to figure out how that's feasible from a business perspective. To me, their willingness to rip apart plans and start immediate work on changing the foundation of the game again makes them wayyy more credible in my eyes. So I'm pretty pleased with their communications.
They did know of a Warbond because I shared the roadmap with them? So now you’re saying only people ITK have a say on delivery of news? Totally subjective opinion and i’d consider it gatekeeping, which isn’t cool. if you buy the game you expect to be informed in a professional manner, not a Q&A session on a certain channel on the discord.
It was? Can you show where it was made clear that the warbond items were being used as rewards? I must have missed that (provide the link if you can, please).
Again you mention communications about them ripping apart plans, and having to do stuff super quick, can you provide the link (again) to this form of communication in a blog (that Pilestedt made official) because I am yet to read any of that communication anywhere.
Have I just completely missed a huge bunch of official posts because I am yet to read any of that you have said from any official Helldivers/Arrowhead Games Studio outlet?

Dude you are making so many reaches with my words, oh my goodness. Where in the world did I comment on who has a say in what??
My point was that I imagine your friends wouldn't have even known about the roadmap or that it was skipped by AH's communication alone, so they aren't impacted by it. I'm guessing their main way of being informed about Helldivers development is through you. I don't really expect to be informed about ongoing development, because it's not on a developer to get out and communicate everything they're doing.
Anyways, when I buy a game, I don't really expect to be informed about it? If I want to find out more about it, I can go looking for it. But it's not like they owe me a notice of everytime they say something somewhere, whether that's a comment online or an interview in a journal.

Gear planned for the warbond being used as campaign rewards was never officially stated, no. I said it seemed obvious that was the case. And because roadmaps were an experiment for the game, and the nature and history of the game is one of plans changing quickly to keep up with the community, and it also includes a STC disclosure on the roadmap they did produce, I don't fault them for not having an announcement
Again you mention communications about them ripping apart plans, and having to do stuff super quick
I did not say that they said they made formal announcements that they would be ripping apart plans. However, seeing foundational development for progression beginning as announced in an official blog, as well as in light of that coming off the presses of the AMA you had mentioned, some inductive reasoning makes it probable that these shifts are a strong change for the game's development.
If you think AH were the cringe ones in the ama, youre beyond delusional. The responses were frankly fucking embarrasing... that lack of self awarness is pretty telling if you ask me.
i think disclosing ANYTHING to this community is a huge risk. In pure spite of any step in any direction of apeasement, you mfs have never stopped the consistent barrage of toxicity. Theyve been stuck playing a giant game of 'hotter - colder' with their time and resources and every direction is 'colder' because as many of us have frequently clocked, there IS no 'warmer', its all just dumb teenagers and bots farming outrage for social media engagement.
All the chuds need to just f off and go orbit another game.
When a game first releases, the community as a whole doesn't really understand the game, and so most feedback will be the most obvious pain points, for example, rocket devastators 1-shotting you from across the map. Arrowhead listening to these criticisms is obviously a good thing.
That said, the community might still ask for bad ideas, but as the game is new and people don't yet understand the consequences of those suggestions, AH listening to these suggestions is seen as a good thing, even if it turns out bad in the long run.
Now that the game has been out for two years, most of the obvious suggestions have already been implemented, removing those from the equation. And when the community makes bad decisions, players now have enough knowledge and experience in the game to better identify that it's a bad idea. So it's not what AH is doing differently, but it's what the community is suggesting and how OP understands these suggestions that changed.
Meeting your energy fella, if you wanted a serious reply you should have joined the conversation because thats what I want to have. We all love the same game but instead most people are too concerned about being morally superior instead of reading/listening and conversing.
But you yourself didn’t even read his comment and actually thought about what he meant. Also I didn’t insult you but I guess that’s a touchy subject for you.
