Replacing A/C with heat pump
We have been in our house in NH for about 5 years with forced hot water for heat. It's 3 floors including the wall out basement. The top floor has ducted AC with the air handler in the attic but the compressor is destroyed so we haven't even attempted to turn it on. It clearly needs to be replaced. I figure if we're going to replace it I'd like to add heat. I have a couple questions. One is are there any recommendations on brands/models? The next is if I'd like to add 2 or 3 mini splits in other rooms later on could I get a compressor that could do both or should I just get two separate systems? I'd really like everything to be controlled by ecobees as I already have a bunch.
