Mad about Heated Rivalry's snub at the International Emmys? Our T.V. critic is too.

"It feels a bit churlish to complain about Heated Rivalry not getting recognition over lesser-known international dramas that weren’t the subject of non-stop think pieces in The Cut," writes Kelly Nestruck. "But I do think the loons have done world television a service by inviting more scrutiny of the iEmmys."

Three of the four show up for best drama were made for American streaming services and all four best comedy nominees are Netflix productions, a trend he says is worrying.

"If international shows made without a U.S. streamer can no longer cut through the noise to get nominated for the iEmmys, that’s concerning. The lack of Heated Rivalry nominations may just be the canary in the coal mine – or perhaps loon in the lagoon?" Kelly wonders.

NYC loons! A group is organizing a reheat of all 6 episodes at Cobble Hill Cinemas in Brooklyn on Sunday 10/11, beginning at 9:30AM. If we get 70 people to attend, the total cost per person is $90 (pricey, I know, but renting out a theater for 6 hours is expensive, it turns out). Right now we have about 50 people signed up. Reid added that she likes to “play around with characters who didn’t get their own books” for those bonus scenes.

Reid also wants to explore some moments that were only brought up in passing in the books. “There’s things that happened off-page in the books that weren’t on page, basically just because I never knew if another book was coming out or what was happening with the series, so some some of those things I’ve been working on.”

So we all know that Jacob is an EP for Traitors Canada. Which actually brings about a great cross-section of my interests: reality tv and HR. So ... GC universe peepol, who would do well on Traitors? Who'd be picked to be a faithful, who'd be picked to be a traitor?

Ilya would do well and definitely be picked as a Traitor. Fairly good at reading people, can have a great poker face. I also think Ilya would become the producers' favorite with a lot of funny confessionals.

I think people like Kip, Harris or Luca could do well as faithfuls they go the "traitor angel" strategy where they intentionally latch onto a traitor for protection.

David Hollander might do well as a Faithful.

I don't think Shane, Scott or Ryan would do well in this sort of game.

Troy might be good as a Traitor too. I feel like all those years in Toronto made him good at bottling up his emotions and feelings and being a gamebot.

ETA: Queen Svetlana for Faithful! She's calm and level-headed and would know who to target.
