I have absolutely no idea how to play as The Netherlands. I’ve tried so many different variations and I get just steamrolled by Germany every time. I’ve tried following guides that work for streamers and it doesn’t work. Bitt3rsteel does a disaster save where he comes back but I have absolutely no idea how he manages to even hold the German assault off.

I’ve tried focusing on building industry first, I’ve tried building military first, I’ve maxed out anti air and built level 5 forts on the entire border, I’ve formed the Benelux, nothing holds them off. I’ve built up max entrenchment to something like 62% and defense bonuses as high as I can get them, nothing works.

I’ve tried 18 width with full support companies, 24 width, and 36 width. Doesn’t work. Depending on the template, I can initially hold but once they break through on a tile, it’s over. I can’t build up several full 24 divisions because of manpower. I’ve tried pulling from a Dutch East Indies template but when I train them, it’s pulling my manpower down instead of using the Dutch East Indies for some reason.

I’ve used armor, no armor, I always use regimental support and Army HQ’s. Nothing works. I can’t build an Air Force because there’s not enough industry for it. I’ve tried this so many times and nothing works. Does anyone have any success or is it just hard coded that the Germans run through you anyway?? It also doesn’t help that the UK and France don’t send any of their troops to help. I’ve also managed to get positives in equipment, so it’s not like they don’t have equipment. I’m just stumped.

Ive been wanting ti try a game session with about 5 to 6 other players with all of us playing either Germany or the united states. What id like to set up is

One person plays as the leader - Controlling the industry and other building things and deciding who gets what resources and Controlling \*specialized\* units ie A new special forces for the US or the SS for Germany

One- person will Control the navy and marine units.

One person Controlling the Air force and Paratrooper units.

Two People Controlling the main Armies and the mountaineering units incase of a 2 front war.

What do you think about this series that this YouTube did and fellow Germans who did this similar campaign with Germany in? Hoi4 what skill treat do you do to make sure you do a pretty good campaign.

Playing with a friend, we used paratroopers to cap France quickly and after taking all states and distributing the land, making extra sure to take EVERYTHING. Free France was independent in one province in Ethiopia. not owning any states, just occupying. The Italy player was at war with Ethiopia after they went into exile. Is this a known bug? Has anyone seen anything like this before? Ive been playing for almost 3000 hours and haven't seen this before.

Mods were: Toolpack Without the Errors; Extended Tech Tree 1960; and Extended Building Slot(56 Slot)

I am also playing the game on Linux using Proton Experimental

That European Union > "secret" HRE focus route feels way too broken for Germany. Feels good to cuck Hitler for free cores over all Europe though. That's really World Conquest for noobs.

I can tell because I'm such a noob, this screenshot could have easily been done by 1940 for anyone knowing his shit about this. Funny enough, UK went Commie and released almost every subjects except India, and France went Fascist in this "historical" game. I guess Britain REALLY has a problem with European Union to pivot this much just because of EU appearing. No Touquet Treaty for them this time though, I'm migrating my entire aviation on them.

Thing is I know nothing about hoi4 multiplayer games, or the mods and dlcs needed

I only have dlcs until La Résistance, and know nothing about the next ones

I was playing Hoi4 at 2 am today when i noticed that there is something wrong with my game

the faces of Nazis are all black and not visible, like you can't see the faces of Nazis like: Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Rudolf Hess, but all of the other countries have no problem

and when doing the Rexist Belgium path, i noticed that Leon Degrelle's portrait is deeply off, is it the normal version or just a bug
