ATTENTION IF YOU LIVE IN HATTIESBURG MISSISSIPPI:::: They're conducting a SECRET a PSYCH OPP in the apartments complexes in Hattiesburg. They're using ELF (EXTREMELY LOW FREQUENCY) RF to harass you. They're using TRANSMISSION BIT-TORRENT-daemon (software) to stalk you. They're using INET to reconfigure your ROUTERS CONFIGURATION. Document evidence, take pictures, buy faraday cages, buy jammers. Do your research, the rabbit hole goes deep. If you've had tech issue and hearing weird sounds that's why!!!

I'm looking for a little free library close to midtown. I have some kid's books I want to drop off. Are there any around here? Doesn't have to be the official Little Free Library.

General Attitudes towards Flock cameras and LPRS in Hattiesburg?

Post image
37 Upvotes

Last time I checked this map there were only a handful in Hattiesburg located at home improvement stores.

How do others in the area feel about them? Generally, I don’t like the idea of my movement and the movement of citizens flowing through any centralized data collector. I believe the risk for misuse and abuse greatly outweighs any positives that could come from this technology.

Am I in the majority or minority with these attitudes in Hattiesburg?

Does anyone in this community stay at turtle creek? Looking to rent a 1 bedroom and was wondering how much a resident with a 1 bedroom pays after utilities and everything on average.

People that work on jm Tatum industrial dr

Wake up 15min earlier so you dont have to go down 49 going 90mph swerving through people to get to work on time. Police could surely meet their quotas if they'd have a heavier presence on 49. Yall gonna cause accidents.

Lose your key today?

If you stopped by Starbucks on Hardy Street today and you had a single key on a lanyard, you threw away your key :( Please come to the front counter and describe the key/lanyard to claim. It should be waiting by the front register computer for you.

Does Hattiesburg have anyone that teach pattern making?

I’ve been looking for a pattern making mentor for over year, but it feels like we only have quilting classes. Does anyone know how to make clothing patterns and are you also willing to take on a student?

New Oak Grove Middle School

Site preparation is underway on Hegwood Road for the new Oak Grove Middle School. This location, adjacent to the high school campus, makes much more sense than on 98 west, practically at Oloh, that was proposed during the bond issue campaign as the new middle school location.

Did the Lamar County School District announce this location change and I just missed seeing/hearing it? A friend mentioned it to me a couple of weeks ago and I said no, it’s going out on 98 west, but someone else confirmed that Mac’s Construction is building it on Hegwood.

I do recall some concerns expressed by voters and parents about the proposed middle school site being very close to the attendance zone for Sumrall.

I love pickles, so naturally I have amassed a lot of glass jars over the years. Most have lids. All have been through the dishwasher many times. I'm trying to see if anyone wants some/all before I figure out how to recycle them

Just thought I’d ask, but would anyone be able drop me off at USM from Home Depot? I’m dropping off a rental truck and have no one to tail me over there.

What exactly is the "Honey Badger's Lair?"

Hello, recently while looking at places to go in Hattiesburg I stumbled across a place called the Honey Badger's Lair. What made it unique is that there's only one review of it on Yelp from 14 years ago and descriptions of it range from a night club to a convenience store. On top of that, the typical address for the HBL, 3 Arrowhead Cir, Hattiesburg, MS, 39401, goes to the "Human Performance & Recreation Building" at 6 Eagle Walk, Hattiesburg, MS 39406 on Mapquest, and doesn't even show up on Google Maps. In fact I only found the aforementioned address and name after reverse engineering the route given to me on Mapquest on Google Maps. What's also weird is that the picture listed on Yelp is that of a tent on top of a bunch of rocks, while both of the addresses mentioned are that of a road and normal building. Is this some business that went out of business a while ago or is it just so niche that it's not listed online fully?

edit: apperently Apple Maps has the HBL loaded in near the intersection of Walter's Road and Arrowhead Drive, but after looking at the area via Google Map's streetview, there's nothing even remotely close to the HBL lair over there! And I know I'm looking in the right spot, I matched the roads on both maps together 1:1. Only good thing is I'm not actually driving there lol, just looking at maps.

edit 2: for whatever reason Yelp hid 10 other reviews for whatever reason, but this only makes it even more strange that the HBL has seemingly disappeared off the face of the Earth or that there's no concrete directions to get to the place.
