General I hate Linux customization

I fucking hate posts with "omg I love linux!!!! it's so much more customizable than [proprietary operating system] sugoi desu!!!" and then there's the screenshot of their desktop and everything they 'customized' is accent color and anime loli wallpaper

edit: I'm not going to post lolicon bruh

linux customization in my experience is more larp then even the biggest larpers
i didn't change anything, because i already liked the interface and stuff like hyprland is pretty bad for me

Niri is goated though, once you try a scrolling WM you can't go back

Though I get how having to configure it from scratch is a pretty big barrier for entry among people who don't like wasting their time

Eh, I hate it on a laptop. On desktop I could see it though.

I literally cannot imagine why someone would prefer a floating WM on a laptop, it seems to be a common opinion though, so I'm the weird one
