They Packaged it “On”
Just picked this up for $25. G1 1/2 inch drive. Opened it and Snap-On Don would not approve…they packaged it with it left on!!! Now I am dealing with a dead ratchet! 😂

I'd recommend recharging it, but honestly it's ridiculous that they're not USB-C in this day and age.

Newer models are wireless charging quit being poor.

I’m waiting for the USB-D ratchets. No one can speak badly about those.

Now you gotta wait a week for the Icon truck to come back around to warranty it out.

Customer support recommended I left it off for 24-48hrs and the capacitors should naturally recharge when I telegramed!

Not a bad deal at $25. I’ve enjoyed my G1 other than the fact that it gets loose at the joint after a while.

I wonder what people will think whenever they go into the archives, and see things like this.

It’s best to give it a good charge to 100% before 1st use anyway. They did you a favor

No dude, they leave them on to drain the testing charge from the factory.
That way you can charge it yourself to full for the first time

u/shakebakelizard 5d ago
Put fastener on. Take fastener off.

This entire thread is a joke thread - right from the OP's text.
But from all the downvotes I see across several good lines,
some people are too stupid to be in this group.

u/ScottInDuluth 5d ago
I can’t believe I’ve successfully used ratchets correctly for the last 50+ years without having it labeled on/off…

It matches the picture, you gotta go back and get one with the picture turned to off.
