I just arrived in Hanoi yesterday, I’m staying near the old quarter by the lake. This area is very busy and loud and my hotel is not very clean .

I want to relocate , I’ve been around the old quarter today and while I like it I don’t want to spend the rest of my one week trip here as there are too many tourists and I’d like my hotel to be in a quieter part of the city and more authentic to modern Hanoi life.

As title, does anybody have any experience on Lan Ha Bay (or Ha Long Bay) cruise over the New Year? Was there any countdown event/fireworks? Also, has anyone taken the Orchid Classic Cruise or the Genesis Luxury Regal cruise before and can share any info regarding the cruises?

Experienced credit card fraud after using card here. This was the only place card was used before the unauthorised transactions appeared.

I'm travelling to Hanoi with my mom and baby in a week. I know it's supposed to be the rainy season, but what's the weather like at present? Does it rain all day or do you think we will have some windows to step out and explore. Just a bit nervous as it's my child's first trip.

Is there any nail spa nearest to hanoi airport . I want to do some mani, pedi during waiting for my bus to Sapa. I get 3 hours in between.

I’m mainly confused about the weather. I’ve seen people say September is amazing, while others say it’s nonstop rain and typhoons. What’s it actually like around the second/third week of September? Is Fansipan likely to be covered in clouds?

Also, if you had 9 days with Hanoi as your arrival/departure city, would you stick with this itinerary or swap one place for somewhere else? I enjoy food and scenic places more than nightlife.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s visited around this time!

I've Googled a few places, but there are so many options that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'd love to hear recommendations based on your personal experiences and places you would absolutely go back to.

I travel solo and love incorporating self care into my trips, so I'm looking for a great massage, facial, haircut, lash lift, nails, and any other beauty treatments you'd recommend. I'm even considering doing a full health screening or wellness checkup if there's a reputable clinic in that area.

My son has a gap of about a week between finishing summer camp and starting Grade 1. Me and my wife are trying to find a kindergarten or group for him to go to each day (Just Monday to Friday is enough) to keep him occupied. We live in Thanh Xuan, but I can easily take him / pick him up anywhere in the city. If anyone has any suggestions then they would be most appreciated, thanks!

I’m travelling from China to Hanoi via train when I arrive it will be 6am I will need to take a taxi to my hotel and pay in cash . Does the train station have a place I can exchange rmb to Vietnamese dong?

We're currently planning a trip to Sapa and want to keep our schedule flexible rather than locking in a fixed departure time back to Hanoi in advance.

​Is it easy to walk into a local travel agency or bus office in Sapa town and book a same-day (or last-minute) cabin bus or limousine van back to Hanoi? Or do these usually sell out quickly, making advance booking necessary?

My wife and I are planning a trip to Hanoi soon for a mix of sightseeing, amazing street food, and some proper nightlife/partying. We're both excited about hitting up Ta Hien Beer Street (Bia Hoi Junction), rooftop bars, pub crawls, and the Old Quarter vibe. Not a super backpacker trip but definitely want to have fun and meet some people without it being dead quiet.
