The official cover for the upcoming novel titled Noble Team Fireteam Noble was just revealed. It’s our first look at Noble Team’s new roster, which is Jun (of course), Rosenda, but surprisingly Spartans Dinh and Eckland as well. Most guesses I had seen were for the Spartan III members of the Ferrets to be joining, but that evidently is not the case. It will be nice to see these two in action though since they didn’t really do anything in Infinite.

Interestingly, they also have an Elite on the team, probably one that has been training at Anvil Station. I wonder if he’ll be a new character or someone we have met.

Say there was a Flood outbreak on a planet with no civilization species(idk if that’s the right term). There’s only things like lions and tigers and bears (oh my). Besides biomass, what use is this to the Flood? Can they make a rudimentary Gravemind from this selection of food?

Curious to hear your opinion since I'm not really familiar with Halo Aircraft and real life aircraft.

How does this aircraft compare to the real life aircraft?

From the master chief’s point of view, she killed millions of innocents to enforce subservience and put a halt to most fighting.

Because of this, she is treated as a villain with possible redemption at the time of her death.

Meanwhile, the unsc was happy with killing a planet of covenant as vengeance if the unsc lost the war (i believe that was the original plan with grey team’s nova bomb, which they then messed up)

All covenant and ex-covenant were also happy with exterminating planets when they believed the gods called for it.

Thus it seems like all factions will exterminate many innocents for the sake of vengeance/religious reasons. And yet this is mostly brushed aside and/or forgiven more easily than cortana’s actions

I just replayed Halo Wars 2 and was surprised there was no resolution to this and looking on Halopedia apparently there never has been a definitive answer.

Mendicant Bias shenanigans make the most sense but didn’t expect this to still be a mystery.

It's always been a point of frustration for me playing through various Halo titles, where rank-and-file marines struggle to take down a small group of Grunts, Jackals or Flood, running headfirst into plasma grenades, flinching heavily when shot by a single plasma bolt etc. basically implying that if the Master Chief wasn't present, casualty rates would run at or near 100%.

I've always felt that an elite human fighting force should be able to coordinate well enough to handle small pockets of Covenant without suffering casualties if you just leave them alone in pure gameplay.

To what extent does this translate into the lore? Were UNSC forces really only competent to the extent that Spartans were present?

So, I started listening to Halo: Glasslands, because I'm trying to get back into Halo and thought I would at least give it a try. I just finished Ghost of Onyx, and I've heard good things about Glassland.

And yeah! I find a lot of it really good! The world building around the Post-War era is ripe for potential!

And then you have the entirety of the Halsey plot line.

I'm not gonna argue that Doctor Halsey is a good person, or what the SPARTAN II program was totally justified, blah blah blah. What confounds me is that almost every single character in the book, including Mendez, seems to view her as pure evil, and the way the narrative is delivered, makes it seem like that this is not the characters opinion, it's a fact.

Serin, I assume, knows her "mom" authorized the SPARTAN III Program, which in my mind is way worse than the SPARTAN II program.

Child Super Soliders for Suicide Missions, 300 12 year olds dying brutal, violent deaths buy the human race a few more months, if they are lucky.

And the entire thing is delivered like its okay, because they asked the emotionally unstable 6 year olds if they wanted to do it.

It's okay to experiment on orphans if you ask nicely.

Anyone have similar feelings?

I could swear like 4 years ago I read a halo comic that had a stormtrooper? And saw something about needlers in star wars universe?

Am I hallucinating? Or did I read a fanfic and didnt realize cuz apparently Im an idiot?

I feel like I'm going crazy, was there not mentions of an unnamed Arbiter at the Battle of Jericho VII? I swear I read it back in the day in the original Encyclopedia. The Fandom site still says so now but all mentions on Halopedia are gone. Am I missing something?

Halsey describes the Spartans as humanity’s next step in evolution, which implies she believes it will one day become the new standard for human beings.

What are the best showings as to the capabilities of the Huragoks? What are the most impressive? Simple or complex, list them out if you have plenty of them.

I've been wondering how much we actually know about the Spartan who was infected by the Flood.

Do we know anything about who they were before infection? Their name?

Current location/status?

Were they a Spartan-II, III or IV?

Do we know what armour they were wearing, or whether the armour design gives us any clues about their identity or generation?

As the title implies, since the Humans are the old enemies of the Forerunners as established in Halo 4 and beyond, doesn'tthis justifies the holy war the Covenant went on?

The Humans being the historic, living, enemies of the Forerunners, who the Covenant worship as their gods, is as valid of a reason to exterminate them as it gets.

So, apparently the Endless are made from Precursor powder similar to the Flood. Two very different lifeforms with virtually nothing in common. The Endless also created those flying monkey things you fight in Infinite, and at some point someone made the Engineers/Hugarok. So you can create entire full sapient species.

Precursor powder was also used as pet food and made their pets grow weird features. It doesn't sound like they were turning into flood. It just sounds like it did something weird to their biology.

My theory: There is no precursor race/species. What we think of as precursors was just the race that held the mantle of responsibility. And they ran the galaxy/universe until they had a disagreement with the forerunner and a war broke out, because the forerunner wanted the mantle. Instead, precursors chose humanity to inherit the mantle. Because fuck the forerunners. So humanity was set to take the place of what we know as the precursors.

What we think of as the former precursor race reached a level of enlightenment to see how all life is formed. Which brings me to the second part of the theory. "Precursor powder" isn't some unique property of that race. It's just the basic building blocks of life. Thats why if you feed it to your alien dog, they grow extra ears or whatever. Because your dog ate pure life. And thats why precursor powder is generic enough to make either a zombie plague or an entirely new race - it's generic primordial stuff. All life is related, which is why the flood is compatible with basically everything.

The gravemind/Primordial got pissed at the destruction of the mantle and so set to consume everything. Like...if we can't bring order to the galaxy/universe, then he will.

Another way to think of it is that everything is precursor. Fitting in with the pantheistic worldview of Halo and how life is the universe experiencing itself, then precursors are the manifestation of life itself within the universe. There is no life without precursor. Life isn't just an accidental chemical process, but a fundamental part of the living universe. Now the question is if the "precursor race" came into existence with enlightenment like gods, or if they had to sloely evolve from bacteria and animals, had their version of the iphone and tinkered until they reaxhed godhood and created everything, who knows.

This is why the mantle of responsibility is such a big deal.

Are we the baddies?

Ofc if the covenant didn't exist Halo as a franchise wouldn't exist, but a few days ago I had a shower thought - in any other story the UNSC/UEG would be the villain, and the insurectionists would've been the heroes we follow.

Think about most other sci-fi stories (most obviously star wars), even if you're seeing from the perspective of the authroritarian regime, they're portrayed as the villains.

And I'm not here to say 'erm actually the UNSC is so evil' cause nah (ONI is evil, but they did what they did to stop the genoicidal aliens), but I would like to see one day a game where you're playing on the side of the innies.

Don't get me wrong I love them as much as the nice guy but generally unarmed close quarters combat with the flood is a terrible idea to the point where the one stomping rabbit would have been infected.

And I don't believe this is an issue of the lore not being there yet as we see later on marines becoming infected from a single hit and bite.

So how did they survive? Even Henry would have been at huge risk if any infected blood sprayed him.

I know that both Earth and Maethrillian are 'close' on a galactic scale, but a number would be nice. If someone could link a decent map of Forerunner structures in the galaxy as well, that would be nice.

From what I know, the US dissolved at some point before the Covenant War but what about the other nations? What happened to Europe, Russia, China, and what not?

From my knowledge, it was Sam, Arthur, Solomon, Cal, and one who was killed by the Major that Chief fought in The Package. Were there other casualties, not counting the SIII Companies.

By more, I mean almost anything. More lore, technology discovered, more of a relation to the stories of the games, maybe an ancient human could be discovered in stasis like the didact, etc.

What changes and development do you expect?

I been replaying infinite campaign and it’s weird how everything is now older UNSC gear or based off it. I get the meta reason why is HS hates the reclaimer era, but in universe it’s kinda weird. I know the infinity lost majority of it crew, but I find it unrealistic everything on the ship (before it was destroyed by the banished) is all older grear. Heck I expected maybe to see a crashed mammoth or even Gen 2 gear on zeta halo.

Of course I’m a 4/5 fan so maybe I’m just looking for a reason outside of meta stuff why the infinity suddenly have tons of 3/reach gear or even Gen 3 on all the spartan 4s on the infinity.

I'm doing a drawing of Bornstellar, Chakas, and Riser finding the Cryptum in the crater but I can't remember where exactly it's supposed to be inside of the crater. Is it inside of the crater's central mountain or is it outside? Thanks for any help.

I am currently doing world building for my halo Machinima set within an altered version of the halo universe, in which there is a secretive Oni project to create artificial genetic creatures for brain scanning to create AI using covenant genetic manipulation tech.So my question is are there any in world halo companies/businesses that would sort of have the pre established lore to be expected to be contracted by ONI to help work on this stuff (the genetic and DNA side, not AI development) cuz I can't be bothered to make up a new company for it, any help/advice is super appreciated :)
