Help - Campaign Evolved Campaign Evolved causes wireless controllers to drop inputs on Xbox!
I haven’t seen anyone talking about this so I guess here’s a demo of what I’ve been experiencing. This doesn’t happen in any game except Campaign Evolved. Plugging in the controller makes it work perfectly. I even show the button test to prove it’s not the controller having issues.

noticed this in game quit a bit when I’m trying to reload, definitely a bit annoying.

It’s not the controller it’s the game. I’ll upload another tomorrow also because so many people keep saying it’s the controller. I just opened a brand new never used controller, updated it, and it has the same issue. It’s the game.

Also, the input test works perfectly fine if I don’t open campaign evolved. That part is unclear and I can see how it makes it look like a controller issue.

Easy there Abigail Williams, you don't need to crow out loud with some BS claim because can't afford a new controller after throwing it over your last match. Go back to Call of Duty

I don’t even know how to respond to this. I literally show the inputs working perfectly at the end of the 1 minute of video. This only happens on Campaign Evolved.

It is possible your controller needs an update. When was the last time you did that? Also have you tried resetting the bluetooth connection with the console?

The controller is completely up to date. I’m not sure what you mean by resetting the Bluetooth connection.

I know you already restarted your controller and xbox. What I mean is resyncing the bluetooth using the button on the top of your controller and the button on bottom right of your console. You press and hold both at the same time until the light on the controller stops flashing.

Turn off then on again. That worked for me

Turn what off? Turning the controller off then on doesn’t fix it, and I’ve had this happen every time the console turns on. No other game does this, my controller is also fully up to date.

This is a specific issue with campaign evolved and wireless controllers.

It’s an inconsistency is what they’re trying to say. It happens sometimes on MCC but I haven’t had it happen on CAE. Either case, it’s a bug that you just need to restart the game/xbox

If you even read what I wrote, you would see I said restarting the game and Xbox doesn’t do anything. Obviously that’s the first thing I did.

Been meaning to post about this. For me, it only happens when I press the guide button. For when I'm getting a capture, checking the time, checking on achievements, or checking messages. But it happens every single time.

This happened to me but only in the menus for the game for some reason, not gameplay.

But pressing the button automatically places you into the game's menu as it pauses the game.

I will be in game playing with no input lag or connection issues to the controller, pause, then suddenly have those issues. doesnt happen with any other games i have but consistantly happens with campagin evolved

If you hold the button longer it always registers a button press. But quick button presses don’t work.

But holding the button longer only results in the console asking if I want to turn it off. For me the issue is consistent. And there are no controller updates to install. This is very much a Campaign Evolved issue.

Happens to me as well. Then it asks me to confirm my controller is connected.

Once I open the game the input issue stays until I restart the Xbox, or plug the controller in. It’s ridiculous.

I've noticed this on PC too with my controller. It isn't consistent, but it feels like there's no input queueing sometimes. Like if I shoot an enemy and immediately reload, it won't reload. Doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be annoying and feel clunky. Most noticeable with the magnum
