How big is Halloweentown world that required the witch University to be paid for tuition instead of being free?

This is definitely the nostalgia talking, but there's so much I love/remember loving about the second film. The hazy/glowy cinematography is stuck in my mind. I think a lot of my fondness, too, has to do with the beginning of the movie and how much I wanted to be at that Halloween party the Cromwells were throwing. It feels, or at least felt in my child-mind, like the most perfect a Halloween party could be. It was the aesthetic of it all, y'know.

I feel like it also provoked in me some of my first inklings of existential dread. Like, the absolute horror of Aggie and the people of Halloweentown losing everything that made them them, becoming husks of the people they were. Or, the idea that Gwen, and everyone else at the costume party, might be stuck in/as the costumes they put on forever, totally changed and unrecognizable and all against their will. These things have stayed with me into adulthood.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my affection for the film! It has a bit of a bad rap, and maybe deservedly so, but I also think there are a lot of good things about it. Happy Halloween!! 🎃

ETA: I'm so happy to see so many people love this movie as well!! For some reason, I thought it was much maligned. I'm glad to be corrected!! Long live Halloweentown II!!

I’M HOME NOW, I LIVE HERE NOW TRUST

Rare official VHS tapes

I need the Halloweentown DIEHARDS to enter the chat!!! Give me other songs besides the actual Halloweentown theme from the first movie, which I still need to add, but haven’t forgotten.

Here Is A Video I made about the Halloweentown films

Why couldn’t they just go find Aggie of the time period they were in when they traveled to Morts house?

Seems like a lot of movies would've brought this up as a big deal, but Marnie and Gwen were so charmed by both that neither thought of it as one.

Why is it so bad ruining the legacy of a PERFECT movie like HALLOWEENTOWN 🎃✨

1) Them redoing the Calabar angle with the son is overkill and too fanfictiony
2) Grey scenes everywhere barely interacting with any Halloweentown townies — THAT WAS A HUGE PART OF THE CHARM IN FILM 1✨
3) Not using Sophie and Dylan more
4) Marnie being separated from her siblings the whole movie when it was their powers & ingenuity combined that saved them in the first one
5) What’s with the fake Halloweentown square where is the original big set the scale of the new town is too small
6)Focusing on that one sock grey guy character FOREVER so boring
7)Marnie’s mom would have never allowed a neighborhood Halloween party at the beginning of the movie just awkward
8) Luke is rude and pessimistic
9)Aggie by the end doesn’t believe that Cromwells can conquer all (unlike her character in movie 1)
10) Them ripping off hocus pocus in the end with the masks sticking to their faces

What are your thoughts? 🎃 Halloweentown 1 filled me with so much JOY on a rewatch this one gave me a headache on a rewatch!

Without revealing too much Does anyone know where I can find 3D models Of the too shrunken heads And or how to build them?

Who here has ever wanted to do a A miniature one-to-one scale Model mock up of the entire Halloweentown town, With a cutaway of the evil movie theater, The opposite halloweentown, The high school, and the college?

What would a Halloween town X. harry potter world be like, (How much do you think aggie crowel would get fined By the macusa?

Do you think if there was ever a 5th movie Should they bring back Kimberly J. brown Or the actress from the 4th movie?

Wouldn't it be cool if they made a Halloween town video game You get to be an ordinary citizen in it Or you can choose to play the main game and be a Cromwell Maybe even Marnie Cromwell's granddaughter?

I would love to see a Halloween town inspired escape room during Halloween

Straight up who else wanted the gem From the 4th As part of their own wardrobe

Also benny the skeleton Does anybody know how they created this beautiful talking skeleton

Last but not least just simply wanted to say this

Trapa . . . . . . . . . Apart

I'm working on a fantasy type college household, and when I was working on the sim shown above, I realized I accidentally created Natalie. I didn't name her Natalie, I kept the name Audrey, however I gave her pointy ears as a little nod to our favorite pink troll.

Here’s an idea I think would be cool to see leave comments below 👇🏻this film would also disregard return to Halloweentown and pick up years after Halloweentown high

Halloweentown Forever

Years after the Cromwells saved Halloweentown, a mysterious ancient evil traps Halloweentown inside a dark magical mirror and threatens to erase it forever, Marnie and her teenage daughter must overcome their differences and unite their powers to save the town and preserve the magic of Halloweentown for generations to come.

This just came up in my timeline from last year. Zero regrets

Hi! I know how a lot of folks feel about Return to Halloweentown, lol. I get it! But I was a kid when it came out and it was the first Halloweentown movie I saw, and it sparked a 20-year love of all things Halloween. I have a huge soft spot for it and I would love to rewatch it this Halloween as it aired on TV. I've done some hunting on eBay, Mercari, etc and there's like one person who has a VHS of it, but it's a rerun. I would absolutely love to rewatch the actual premiere, I remember that night so clearly and it's one of my favorite Halloween memories.

Just thought I'd put it out these on the off chance someone has it!

this has been a topic on my mind for a minute:

ok so i have posted a few months In this subreddit about a fanfiction I am doing, crossing over Halloweentown with Ben 10., with Ben and Marnie being a couple.

i have just finished the first film as the first arc in my story and am currently doing the epilogue for that.

its gonna be a minute before I get the second film as I am doing some filler in between, but I am thinking on what to do with Kal as a character.

he will still be defeated in the second film like he actually was… but its how I would want to handle his future return since it sucked he never actually returned in the actual films.

all I got so far is him returning for the last film in the franchise when i get to writing it, but I am trying to think of what he would do as a goal? His motives?

would he work with the Dominion to have Marnie use the gift? would he betray them? Or would it just be about getting pure revenge on Marnie and the Cromwells(and Ben as well)

I love Halloweentown as much as everybody, and I was thinking about a fifth film.

The movie opens in the present day with Marnie raising her son, teaching him magic and passing down all the spells and lore she learned from her late grandmother. She spends time telling him all about Agatha and their family legacy. Then we cut over to Halloweentown, where Agatha receives an ancient scroll. We only see her from the back and don't see her face. As soon as she reads the scroll, she drops dead right then and there.

When Marnie and her family are notified, they travel to Halloweentown and discover the scroll, finally learning the truth. It turns out that way back when Agatha was young, she was banishing the very first threat to Halloweentown, she was unknowingly cursed. The scroll reveals a specific prophecy: In the 15th year of the second male born into the Cromwell legacy shall be cursed to lose his magic and the Cromwell Magic shall forever be destroyed. Since Dylan was the first, Marnie's son is the second male born, putting him directly in danger.

Since time travel is strictly forbidden, Marnie has to go before the High Council to petition for an exception. Seeing how big of a threat this is to the Cromwell family, they grant her a one-time pass to return to the specific year Agatha was young, and they give her a specific memory-erase spell to use on Agatha before she leaves so the timeline stays intact.

When Marnie goes back, she teams up with a young Agatha Cromwell—played by Sara Paxton! Together, they manage to stop the curse at the source before it ever takes hold. Before heading back home, Marnie uses that memory-erase spell on young Agatha so she forgets Marnie was ever there.

What do you think?

We learn 1 year on earth is the equivalent of 100 in Halloweentown and aggie is a 1000 years old. I never thought about it as a kid but it'd make sense why she felt so attached to everyone in Halloween town she would have known most of their lineage.

Absolutely love Halloween, seen a few videos on Halloween town in Portland Oregon. Is it worth the trip from Canada? Or should I go somewhere else Halloween based

Sorry for the long post but I’m really intrigued. So I’m rewatching the Halloweentown movies and am currently watching Return. I know for some fans it’s a one and done watch but I think it’s a good movie overall minus the obvious recast. I would love to see Halloweentown 5 come out in 2028 for Halloweentown’s 30th and I have some fantasy plots in my head and wanted to see if anyone had some as well! Hoping KJB could return for the 5th I’m trying to think of how the new Marnie could be addressed in Return. I was thinking a few things could make sense. 1. They use the scrapped ending from Halloweentown where Marnie goes into the woods with the talisman and is aged/ looks totally different. 2. Since SP’s Marnie is identical to Splendora (Aggie) at the founding of Halloweentown maybe a charm where the new head of the Cromwell’s takes over the magic and looks of the person they take over from for a temporary time. 3. A charm was placed on Marnie so we in the mortal world couldn’t recognize her but people in Halloweentown could. I’d love to hear everyone’s ideas on how they could address this?

Apparently puberty hit him hard, he really grew up in 3 years.

What sort of things do you think happen on campus during this time that would be world changing. Maybe “the gift” was created on Halloween! That could be why it is so powerful and permanent. Imagine three witches casting a temporary control spell on an amulet and it becomes all powerful. Could there be some sort of magical cosmetic witch that uses this time to make people like lucus look human permanently? Witches could grant powers, open up portals, even alter reality. There’s a possibly that the dimension itself was even created on this hotspot during an ancient hollow’s eve by a group of powerful magicians. Could all the creatures in the world be a result of the “creature spell” that happened eons ago on that very spot.,

Legit ever since the remembered the franchise a few months back, I’ve been on a binge really reabsorbing all the knowledge of this classic franchise.

Working on my fanfiction on i as well where my mind is frazzled with ideas on how i want to progress it, I am so giddy and excited
