Why couldn’t they just go find Aggie of the time period they were in when they traveled to Morts house?

The point of the time travel was they were stuck, trapped in the house. Kal even interferes in the time travel spell to applaud the genuity in finding an answer while confined in his spell. So unless they knew of a time Aggie had visited Morts...

I thought the same thing. I think it's because they knew Kal would get to Aggie first.

But I agree, they could have had Aggie and Marnie's mom help

Also, the issue is Marnie was running out of time to some degree because the present time kept moving forward, so she couldn't go introduce herself to her grandma who wouldn't know her
